We've been coming to China one for a while now we've lived close by for over 17 years. The food is always delicious and so hot! The service is great and it's a small place if you want to sit inside and they do have bathrooms and the servers are really attentive! Yesterday I went and ordered us dinner and he said about 10 to 15 minutes and I'm not kidding. It was ready in seven minutes piping hot! Of course the food was amazing and we always have leftovers because they give you so much! I tried something new yesterday and it was the chicken chop Suey. It was delicious! I actually ate it for lunch today as well. My husband got orange chicken which he really likes from there. My son got sweet-and-sour chicken and my daughter always gets the veggie noodles. read more

From March 5th to May 12th something has failed. My order on May 12th was awful. I couldn't eat had to put in garbage it was that bad! Walked in to order because I have an allergy to gluten and there were Yelp reviews that stated they have gluten free options. Before I ordered, I asked the person taking my order what on the menu could be made gluten-free. She said, "everything" which I figured was slightly inaccurate, but I looked over the menu and ordered a shrimp plate, pork dish, and beef dish. After I paid $60, they tell me the items actually can't be GF. I asked for a refund on two of the three items, and they said they didn't know how to do a refund and to order something else. I asked then again what was available. At this point; I'm annoyed because I'm pregnant and haven't eaten and am taking a break from visiting my mother in the hospital. I pretty much ordered food I didn't want or like and with a pretty significant language barrier. I hope I don't have an allergic reaction and I'm now out $60. Stopped in for dinner for the first time recently and it's been awhile since we had traditional Chinese food that we forgot that each dish we ordered is sharing size! So we ended up with a lot of food! We started out with the Crab Rangoon (DELICIOUS!!!). Probably the best ones I've had in a long time! Orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken were tasty, and hot teas kept us warm. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they checked in on us regularly. The restaurant is not very big, however the tables, chairs and booths were spacious and comfortable. They kept their facility well maintained and cleared up quickly when seating becomes available. Never coming here again and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place. When you walk in, it's completely boarded up and looks like they're out of business. I was shocked when I opened the door and saw people inside. This has always been a place that's just "okay" and is barely above Panda Express in terms of quality. China One has always been a Chinese fast food spot for me, I'd rather go to the far superior China Bros in Menifee but it's a bit of a drive. Anyways, I walked in and they have no cashier at the front counter. They just have a cheap table in front of the counter with food orders on it, and an elderly man that drops the food on the table. I waited a few seconds, and the elderly man didn't acknowledge me at all even though he saw me walk in. I already paid for the food online, so I looked at the name, saw it was my order, and walked out with it. As I'm about to leave, the same elderly man yells at me "HEY!!!" like I just committed a crime. I looked back in disbelief, and went back inside confused. He aggressively told me he needs to see my receipt and that I just walked out with the food etc. I got frustrated because I did nothing wrong, and if I was going to steal I could've stole it easily and he wouldn't have been able to do anything about it. There was a party tray with a bunch of food right next to my order, don't you think I would've stolen that if I was going to steal? If it's such a big issue, why don't you keep the orders behind the counter? Why can't you afford a cashier!? I was baffled, showed him my receipt and he was cross-checking my order # matched even though it had my exact name. I was rude to him because he was completely out of line, and tried to make me look bad in front of other customers. After him confirming it was me, he acted like nothing happened. It would've been so easy to avoid this, he could've respectfully went outside and asked me and I would've showed him my order confirmation. He could've asked nicely, but chose to embarrass himself. You can look at the reviews, do you think there's any coincidence that China One in Temecula has triple the reviews of this China One? Or China One in Moreno Valley having 5x the amount of reviews? He needs to go see what they're doing that's making them more successful and figure it out for this business. Scroll down and read the other reviews and let me know if it's worth getting food poisoning over. This is a run of the mill fast food spot, and would be no surprise in the future to hear that they shut down. If the food was amazing like PapaFeta, Kan Zaman, Angelo's, etc I could let it go and get over the mistake. But places like that just never make mistakes like that, because they're high quality. The food was very good and tasty, while the ambiance was made fun by the China One/China Bros franchisee who kept coming over and chatting with us. He was very friendly and not intrusive. We enjoyed him a lot. The food was made fresh as we watched. I've posted a photo of the fire and sparks coming from the Wok. We found it to be a real wow factor and entertaining show to watch. Our food came out piece meal Asian style... Fried Rice and Chicken Gyoza Dumplings first, followed by Sesame Chicken and then Corn Egg-Drop last. So sad about our experience today. 2 stars just because the shrimp were good. We normally go in for lunch but today we ordered delivery for dinner. The egg rolls were gooey inside, the outside was the only crunchy thing about them, thought they were made with mashed potatoes inside. Gross!!!! Ordered the Singapore rice noodles that come with shrimp and bbq pork in a yellow curry sauce. Well!!!!!!!!!!!! The shrimp was good and plump. Pork was hard to find. The yellow curry sauce was nonexistent and we asked for it to be extra spicy. No spice, very light sauce and by light I mean it literally was a sprinkle over a big bed of rice noodles. Not many vegetables either. So I guess my advice is to eat in and don't even do takeout because you can't see what you're getting. I called the restaurant to let them know about the order. I wasn't expecting money back just to let them know. They said they couldn't find that I had ordered from there???? I was in the mood for some Chinese food and let me tell you, sooo fresh and delicious! Made an order for pick up and done very quick! Everything tasted delicious! My husbands favorite was the fried chicken wontons and my favorite were the sesame balls. The Taiwan style rice noodles were AMAZING! So filling and delicious! Pot stickers were so crunchy and the dipping sauce tasted tangy but made the pot stickers and fried chicken wontons even better! I love that the vegetable fried rice had chunks of veggies and my favorite mushrooms! The service was A+. My companion and I were immediately greeted and given a choice of tables to sit at. Our drink orders were taken and the drinks were promptly delivered. Shortly after being seated, a kind employee suggested a cooler table where we would be more comfortable. Also, within moments of being seated, we were asked multiple times if we were ready to order. They all tasted incredible, especially the sesame beef which I would highly recommend. The orange chicken wasn't as strong in flavor as you will find at Panda, but I wasn't left feeling sick to my stomach after over-eating which is a nice change! China One has ALWAYS been so good. We order all the time. I was so excited to see an Udon option on the menu and didn't hesitate to order it. It seems there is only a seafood option, which I have ordered seafood from there previously and again was delicious. However this was very fishy and bland :( soy sauce couldn't even save it. A few bites in and I am done. It looks much better than it tastes. Hopefully in time they will get chicken, beef and other protein options for Udon. Tuesday Lunch rush at 11:45 am dine in and carry out. I walked in with my 3 kids sat down first come first serve tables. Booths were clean & spacious. The cashier person came over with menus and took our drink orders - taro slushy w boba and a hot tea. Dishes for sit down came out one by one - kung poa chicken lunch special first- then orange chicken, pork buns then my beef noodle soup. We ended up eating family style so that no one needed to watch one person eat their lunch. Egg drop soup came with the lunch special and rice and noodles. Plastic ware. Fortune cookies. Drinks came out one by one too. I think the place is busy busy busy so I'm okay that lunch was piecemeal. Friendly and nice people here. Food is definitely Caucasian Chinese food especially with the zucchini in the kung poa chicken. My kiddos friends are not Asian and really liked the place as did my half Asian kid. I'm pleased that they're pleased. Easy on the wallet too! Lunch special was 7.99$! For what this place "is" it is 5 stars! Plenty of parking. I will return! read more
