I can't give enough positive feedback on how amazing our experience went tonight for dinner! It's a small quaint restaurant where you're greeted upon entrance, seated immediately and taken care of right away. Drinks came out quick, appetizers came out as soon as we ordered them and our server was the most kindest person we've ever encountered. She was personable, knowledgeable of the menu, attentive to our kids & provided them with toys and stickers to keep them distracted from typical toddler things lol. She checked in with us, made sure our table was clean at all times, napkins always on hand and our drinks were always full. The food was made fresh to order, that Thai tea knocked my socks off, definitely steeped in house and not powder. The menu offered a huge variety of everything. The potstickers were crispy and the meat was tender. The chow mein was delicious paired with thinly sliced chicken with every bite. We left so happy with this experience & can't wait to go back! Was lured in by the photos on yelp and the great reviews... to be honest, we would have preferred Panda Express over this place. : ( To start, the food came out in minutes... piping hot - but way too fast to be freshly made. Everything tasted bland or just plain BAD! As in expired, day old... as someone else mentioned, the noodles were grey and almost slimy, the crispy beef must have been shaved beef because there was no beef to be found, some pieces were just fried batter. They have a huge menu, but I would have preferred freshly prepared, tasty food. The service was friendly and pushy at the same time. There was only one other table being occupied, but the waitress came by way too much, taking plates - ordering us around. At least we had a good laugh and we donated the leftovers to a homeless man. So, we rebounded into the arms of China Moon.... our culinary rebound... and it didn't disappoint! Hubby and I ordered a total of 3 dishes - salt and pepper pork chops, eggplant with tofu, and shrimp shumai. We had steamed rice and fried rice to go with the entrees. The fried rice was cooked well but bland. Everything else was pretty packed full of flavor. I enjoyed the eggplant tofu and appreciated that all the dishes came out hot and stayed hot. The eggplant still had its shape and absorbed the sauce well. I generally don't like tofu, but fry on this dish was excellent. It was crispy on the ouside. The shumai was juicy and scrumptious. I could eat those everyday. The pork chops were crispy and tender at the same time.They were lightly salted and peppered and placed on a bed of shredded cabbage and sliced peppers. Looked at some reviews and we are puzzled how anyone can leave a review less than 4 stars? We are giving them 5 stars. The reason is, the food is cooked to order and outstanding. MSG gives my wife a whopping headache. When asked about MSG, we were told no problem. The restaurant is located in a mall next to a grocery store. I swore last time, after getting some very greasy chow mein and house fried rice with a minuscule amount of meat, that I wouldn 't order here again. Well I did. Door dash delivered the food. Salt n pepper pork chops were not crispy, but soft and almost soggy. They were also almost a gray color, bland and tasteless. Singapore noodles were practically inedible because the noodles were all together in one large bunch and had to be pulled apart- very difficult to eat. It had 2 pieces of beef, 2 pieces of chicken, 3 shrimp, and a tablespoon of cabbage. I hate to waste food, but all went in the trash. The fried rice lacked flavor and tasted nothing like the fried rice I'm used to--completely disappointing. I ordered the cashew chicken, and it was both bland and overly salty at the same time, if that's even possible. The chicken itself was on the dry side--actually, just plain dry. The chow mein was literally just chicken and noodles--no veggies, no depth, no effort. On top of that, the experience wasn't relaxing at all. I really liked the broth and veggies in this soup. My friend gave me her chicken cause she didnt want it and it was really good. I asked for no chicken or beef in mine hoping there would be compensation in the shrimp for not having the other two but i only got 2 pieces of shrimp. The wontons themselves were grainy and the beef inside was over spice. They were not great. The rest of the soup was amazing and the shrimp crystal dumplings were really good. So on March 6, 2026, I placed an order (via UberEats). I ordered Curry Chicken and Salt & Pepper Calamari. This was the very first time that I have eaten food from China Moon because a friend recommended it. The curry chicken was delicious but was mostly peppers and onions woth very little chicken pieces BUT the calamari was panko coated, deep fried rubber bands. I literally ate the coating from the first piece and shot the calamari across the table like a rubber band. They are unchewable rubber rings!! We tried eating a few of them but they were all rubber and wouldn't even break apart while chewing them!! I should have had UberEats to refund my money but forgot to request the refund until today which they said was to late. Warning. DO NOT ORDER THE CALAMARI . I'm sooo glad they offered Orange chicken as a lunch special because that's my wife's favorite "authentic" Chinese dish ;) I chose the spicy garlic shrimp. Our soup choices were egg drop and hot-n-sour w/veg egg roll, it's all included on their lunch menu. It was decent and enjoyable. Both dishes came HOT! As in, burning the roof of your mouth hot. Spread it out, give it time to cool off. After my wife took her first bite, I went back to "Hero" status as she proclaimed this orange chicken to be better than that "Ling and Hsing" commercialized place, the rice and noodles that came with this entree was pretty good, too. The lightly crisp and juicy pieces of the chicken were cooked to order and weren't overly sweet, which is a good thing, for me. My spicy shrimp was also very hot (burnt my tongue), and made to order. This shrimp has a crispness to it, very flavorful too, the garlic sauce was a little too thick for me but, wasn't a deal breaker. Based on the last review, my wife and I thought we would try it one more time to see if China Moon improved. This will be the last time we will ever go back or order from them again. The service, although she was friendly and welcoming, one third into our dinner, my wife pulles a hair out of her mouth. It was the grosses thing I have ever seen. That was it for me. I tried explaining to the server but again, commuication. They speak Chinese, I don't. It appeared it was no big deal to her. We left. After thinking about the sixty bucks we just spent there, the rest of the food went in the trash. It was in a white sauce that none of us liked either. That meal might be on us we expected it to be in brown sauce and cooked more. Service I'm not sure because I did the order through Yelp. The sweet and sour chicken was good. The Mongolian beef was not good. The meat was of poor quality, and the dish was almost all onion. I had to spit out 4 bites of the beef because I couldn't chew it. There were big chunks of mushroom, which I don't like, but others may like it.
