Rain + pho craving = destiny!!! Our usual haunts were closed (rude), so we panic-scrolled Yelp and landed on Pho Neighbors like it was the last lifeboat on the Titanic. We ordered the combo special and tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce, and Mike, certified phone MVP took our order with the kind of charm that makes you consider inviting him to Thanksgiving!! We warned him we'd be 45 minutes. He said cool. We showed up. Boom!!! Food ready, no drama. Now here's the part that deserves a slow clap: after a 45-minute drive home in the rain, that pho broth was still steaming like it had something to prove!!! One sip and I swear it put on Barry White and slow-danced across my soul!! Deep, rich, pure bone broth goodness, none of that fish sauce sneak attack. Just cozy, beefy perfection!!! Let's talk about the peanut sauce..... I've had peanut sauce in multiple zip codes. This one might be the best Vietnamese peanut sauce I'veever had!!!! Creamy, punchy, "lick the lid when no one's looking" good!!!! As a vegan, finding actually vegan Thai/Vietnamese dishes like Pad Thai and Pho is nearly impossible in this area. Almost every restaurant claims they can "make it vegan," but still uses oyster sauce or fish sauce hidden in the base. Pho' Neighbors is the only place around that genuinely gets it right. They make all of their sauces from scratch, which means they can truly leave out non-vegan ingredients without compromising flavor. That alone sets them apart -- but the food itself is incredible. The flavors are deep, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared, not watered down or altered as an afterthought, and the portions are large. It's rare to find a restaurant that is both transparent and accommodating without making vegans feel like a burden. The staff is knowledgeable, respectful, and happy to explain what's in their dishes -- which builds a level of trust you don't often find. They also have exceptions meaty options. My husband is an extremely picky eater but he has never been disappointed by a dish from Pho' Neighbors. They are doing it right, and it shows in every bite. The employees who work here are passionate about their food, compassionate with their customers, and truly go above and beyond. Amazing people making amazing food! When I moved here from living in OC & working in LA I was so disappointed by the lack of authentic restaurants. My palate was accustomed to flavorful, unique spices. Stopped in randomly because I had to take my dog to the vet in the area, and I'm so glad I did! It was really quiet and simple, which is not a bad thing at all. Server was attentive and it seemed like a local crowd, but since I went midday it wasn't too busy. I ordered a brisket pho and it was delicious! Came to Pho Neighbors for the first time today and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was very clean and welcoming. My family and I started with the egg rolls and crispy garlic tofu, both were served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I always like extra lettuce with my egg rolls, and our waitress, Tam, was so kind and quick to bring it over without hesitation. For our main dishes, we ordered the #12 Pho Special, which comes loaded with a variety of meats and was incredibly satisfying. We also tried the grilled garlic salmon, and wow, it was phenomenal! It's served sizzling in a hot skillet, packed with generous amounts of sautéed garlic, onions, broccoli, and carrots. The aroma alone was amazing, and the flavor absolutely delivered. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu. The fried rice was good the pho broth was delicious I think the shrimp were undercooked for my pho(I got it to-go so it was separated from the broth) they had some gray color to them. The spring rolls were okay. The lettuce seemed a bit "sad". Everything was just okay but I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee. I'm not being mean or anything but this is quite possibly the worst iced Vietnamese coffee I've ever EVER had. I usually get it from Pho spots and they have never been this bad. The guy poured it from a pitcher out of the fridge and I am used to it being prepared fresh, with the condensed milk added for sweetness. Or just having the consistent flavor overall. Well this iced coffee tasted very bad, almost like a refrigerator flavor if you know what I mean. And not sweet, bitter. Just not at all good. I did not drink it which felt like a waste because I paid for it. I poured it down the sink when I got home. Normally I would have drank it and it would have been gone by the time I got home. I won't be returning because of the undercooked shrimp and the worst, absolute worst Vietnamese coffee. Was recommended to this place by a mutual friend. Of course we've been to many pho places all over SoCal and saw it had good reviews so why not give it a chance. We can easily say that we were happy with what we got. The service was welcoming and seating was immediate. It was bigger than expected. Not huge just thought it was smaller just from the outside. Either way the food we got was good and nothing was left when we left. We chummed it up with the workers and we would gladly recommend and come back when we are in the area. Especially since there was a planet fitness next door and we worked out first so of course this made the food hit the spot even more. Socially since it didn't take long for the food to come out. This place was mid and dirty. Pho had decent flavor but there was some nasty slime on top of my bowl. The vibe was a bit off too. The person I came with had some sort of dry pho noodles with meat and egg rolls. Very little meat on it and it was fatty not in a good way. The egg roll had an exaggerated amount of dirty oil. We ordered The house vermicelli and it was honestly great. The egg rolls were great but definitely weren't the best ones ive had. My friend got the Pho with beef in it i believe? He said it was good but wasn't wowed. He voted the restaurant a 6-7 My other friend voted a 6.5. I agree it was a 6.5. Vermicelli was honestly GREAT. But the service was actually kind of horrible... our server didnt come by after we got our food. Our thai tea was also served to us warm... it barely had any cream in it, too, so was like not right. I had to flag someone down to get us ice and more cream... though it's like yall really ration out your cream so sparingly :\ i would not order thai tea here again and that was a main reason we came. I used to love this place but after eating there today was very disappointing. The food is always amazing but the service wasn't the best. My friend and I were joking around and she joked about taking the tip back and the manager looked at her and the comment "I can cancel it if you want" but she was joking. I went to pay and he pressed skip and said he didn't need the money. It's a shame that something that was a joke between friends left and horrible experience due to the remark from this person. The service of staff. Refills of water and empty plates quickly picked up. Pho soup was good. Not too greasy like other places. Chicken wings and fried octopus was good also. Last night was a horrible experience , my husband & I along my cousin & her two kids came . When we got sat down my little niece was sitting across from me & as the waiter named " K " bought some waters he then started caressing my little nieces hand right in front of my eyes ! I was disgusted and it made me furious I told him " please don't touch her hand again ". My husband and I saw the reaction on our nieces face frightened and uncomfortable by the way he was grabbing her little hand . I ask other waiter for the manager to get in contact but was not on property. This is sexual harassment that this employee named K did to my niece . I hope I get a response back to further take action for what he did . This place is the what you hope and dream every Vietnamese place you go to will be. As someone who is gluten free I called ahead and they let me know that all their vermicelli noodles were safe. Upon arriving, one of the servers recognized me from the phone and was extremely friendly. My whole group ordered, and the food came out extremely fast. To make the experience even more amazing, I couldn't decide between shrimp and chicken in my bowl, and my server surprised me by adding complimentary shrimp in the chicken bowl I ordered because he knew I had been craving both. Moving to the actual food-it was fantastic. Chicken was fresh and the whole bowl was so good I found myself continuing to eat well past when I was full. My wife and I was in town some weeks back to visit some family. During our lodging, we decided to come here to check it out and try some food! The place is located in a strip mall, kind of smallish but clean. There were a couple parties there already eating. A TV blared local news aimlessly but.....who cares! Let's eat! I ordered the oxtail pho with half the noodles. The server (don't know his name) gave me a funny stare and asked why. He asked you hungry, right? I laughed. Yeah, but I'm diabetic so I have to watch the carbs. Ah.... The wife ordered the Seafood Wok. The food was delicious. The oxtail pho was on point. The broth had great flavor with PLENTY of meat and did serve it with half the noodles as requested (a lot of places typically still give the full portion, not sure why). The wife loved the seafood wok. The veggies and seafood rocked as a great combo along with the rice. She almost ate the whole thing! Spring rolls were good. Can't say much for them...after all, they are just spring rolls. Good peanut sauce. Service was great. Made sure we had everything and kept drinks filled. Left them a hefty tip. The server was a crack-up. Love a person with a dry sense of humor! This place is awesome. The price is insanely reasonable as well.
