Stopped in for the first time for dinner tonight. We ordered salted edamame and tempura veggie appetizers with sake, then two sushi rolls. The Hamachi and the Spider Rainbow Rolls were fresh and appealing. The menu items seemed like the typical or common sushi rolls. They did have a sashimi and Ramen menu as well. The service was a bit slow but it was a busy Friday night and we didn't have to be anywhere so it didn't bother us at all. The atmosphere is vibrant, dining area was open and airy and well kept. Dining area does not accommodate more than 35 people yet will accommodate comfortably at capacity. 4 dining tables and 8-10 bar seating. There are tv monitors around the dining area. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in the complex and is located next to a market, dentist, Mexican restaurant, and The Hive. read more

I haven't been too impressed with Sushi restaurants in the Lake Elsinore/Wildomar area. I just so happened to stumble upon Sushi Mamba today and was not disappointed. The environment is inviting and cozy with two tv's playing the live sports games. The music is at a nice volume allowing you to still hold a conversation and enjoy the game without having to yell over the music. The service is quick and efficient. My water cup was never empty and I was checked on almost every 5 minutes. The sushi roll and friend rice has great flavor and good portion size for the price. Honestly I hate to hate on a new business, but we did not enjoy this place. We ordered takeout and for over $20 a roll, I felt they were made very small. We usually go to sushi sake down the street and they are double the size of these rolls. It wouldn't have been as bad if they tasted good, but they were just ok. Some of the rolls tasted very fishy, which i don't like. There were no sauces beyond soy....Very disappointing. We were trying to treat ourselves, we spent $150 on this sushi. Will not be back. I ordered through DoorDash, so I can't speak to the quality of the service, restaurant ambiance, etc. My order was tuna nigiri, a salmon skin roll, caterpillar roll, and a negihama roll (like negitoro but with yellowtail instead of toro). The quality was good and everything was tasty. However, the portions were microscopic. I don't think I've ever seen rolls so tiny! For the prices they charged, it was disappointing. I mean - I would expect to pay $18 for a roll at, say, Nobu, but come on. That said, I know some restaurants upcharge and/or downsize the portions when it's a DoorDash / GrubHub / UberEats order, so I will probably give them another try by going in person. read more
