    Kung Pao Chicken
    Roberto O.

If you enjoy more vegetables than chicken in your Kung Pao chicken then this is the place! I stopped by for lunch & got their lunch special for $6.95. The sauce for my meal was very thick & not like other restaurants that I've ordered. As I ate my meal, I'm not sure if they washed their broccoli prior to cooking my meal but when I bit into it had a very awful taste.

Service is fast and food was hot. Ordered the crab Rangoon, fried pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken, and the Mongolian beef with no veggies. All for $28. The pot stickers had great flavor but could have been seared longer. They were still flabby. The sauce was good but a little sweet. The crab Rangoon was a too sweet for my liking but not bad. The sweet and sour chicken had way too much breading. The rice is very bland, added the pot sticker sauce to give it some flavor. The Mongolian beef was bad. Could taste the cornstarch and it was very sweet. Tasted like fruit punch. Huge portions though.

They give ample portions of food. They are reasonably priced. Customer service is good.

Don't let the outside fool you. I will never go to main moon again. Great food and I can eat the leftovers more than once!

Food came out hot and quick and the portions were huge which is good for broke college students. The food was very tasty as well.

Hands down the best Chinese in Columbia. The chicken fried rice is the best. Awesome hot and sour soup.

Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!

You order first and then the food is brought to your table. I liked the causal concept. I ordered chili wontons and a salt and pepper porkchop. The chili wontons were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchop showed up to my table and I immediately thought wait this is not correct. I clarified with the staff member and she told me it was indeed a salt and pepper porkchop. Well a salt and pepper is traditionally deep fried so I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I accepted it and although it was not what I was expecting, it was an incredible meal. I thought they gave too much white rice but the overall presentation was beautiful. The minced pork over the rice and the steamed egg were perfect accompaniments. I ordered a milk tea to go and it was only okay. The boba was cooked too long as they were very soft. Softer than they should be. Otherwise, this was a solid choice to dine in the area.

What's hot - Menu. It's a pretty extensive menu- meats, veggies, tofu, maybe even for vegans. - Service. For ordering food for a family of 6, our order was ready in about 20 minutes. Everything was properly wrapped up. Nothing was missing. When I gave them the name for our order, everything was ready. They're also open during major American holidays, such as Christmas and New Year's, which is very helpful. - Location. Pretty easy to find in a small plaza with other shops. When we went on Christmas Day, all their tables and chairs were pushed to the side, so I'm uncertain whether they're currently doing table service or if it's just take away orders. - Price. Very reasonable, especially given the portions. If you order a quart, versus a pint, it's less than $10, which includes white rice. What's not - Quality. As a child of immigrant parents, who grew up in Silicon Valley, CA, where there is a large community of Chinese immigrants, I can say that this is not authentic Chinese food. It's catered for the local American population. The flavor and seasoning of the food is very generic. For example the difference between my spicy garlic tofu and vegetable delight was only the tofu. All the vegetables between the two dishes were literally the same, including the sauce/taste. With that said, it's not terrible. For Americanized Chinese food, it works. Final Answer Wouldn't be my first choice for quality Chinese food, but it's reliable.
