I visit this little mom and pop Chinese restaurant at least once weekly. I've never been disappointed. The food has always been fresh, hot, and very tasty. While I've not had every meal on the menu, I've had Orange Chicken, Chicken and Vegetables, Broccoli Chicken, and Egg Foo Yung. Every dish has been cooked to perfection! And the egg rolls are amazing! The owners are friendly, kind and accommodating, And I've never had to wait very long for my food. You couldn't ask for more wonderful proprietors. At first I thought it was expensive and cold. We ordered and the service was fantastic. They set a radiant heater near our table, the food "Orange Chicken" and fried rice was hot and very good. The owner kept bringing me Coke Zero's even when I didn't ask. The food was fresh and stayed hot. She brought out all varieties of condiments and kept checking on us. Please give this small business a try! We were passing through town. Hotel desk clerk suggested China Panda and we went. One person waiting for take out on a Saturday night. We planned to eat in and had to order, pay and wait. We understood that this restaurant had recently been purchased by a husband and wife team and the menu stayed the same. Fairly diverse menu. The wife greeted us with a big smile and took out order. We ordered 2 hot and sour soups, a tofu and veggies and a Human chicken, each with steamed rice. As we waited, there were numerous patrons coming in to pick up orders. They appeared to be regulars. The wife greeted some by name. Our hot and sour soups arrived in pint take out containers, with crispy noodles. The soup was so hot it almost me melted the plastic tablecloth. It took a while to cool down. It was flavorful with all the normal ingredients and carrots were an added bonus. We finished our soup and the entrees arrived also, steaming hot with a huge side of rice. The wfre bought over a huge tray of condiments in case we needed them. The recipes were a bit different than what we are accoustomed to the n these dishes (bok choy and zucchini were added), but both were flavorable. We finished the entrees and had a bunch of rice left over. The only suggestion I would have is for the restaurant to offer a disposable plate so diners could spoon out what they wanted to eat and take the rest home instead of eating out of the take out containers. First when you enter you are encased in plastic. Looks like something out of Bates motel. I ordered Mei Fun with vegetables and beef, spicy. The beef was non existent. The largest piece was the size of my thumb nail. Limited vegetables. No carrots, oh sorry , there were 2 slivers of carrots. There were small bits of broccoli which were over cooked. The noodles were cook correctly, that is what the one star is for. What bothered me the most was the crushed red peppers and seeds. I have never had heat in my Chinese food from crushed red peppers. The noodles were red from the peppers, disgusting. I know this is southeast Georgia and I don't expect authentic Chinese food but I don't expect to have to pick the seeds from every bite of food out of my mouth. If they ever served this food outside of this area they would be chased out of town. I sure hope they enjoyed the $15.00 they charged. Won't be going back there. read more

Five stars? Well it is all relative of course. Is it the best Chinese Food on the planet? No, but it is the best in Glynn County. I'm reviewing this little gem mainly due to the lack of recent reviews. The other night I was hankering for some Chinese food and the list of restaurants in Brunswick is a short one. I have overlooked China Town several times in the past because I just wasn't sure they were still open. So, last night we drove over and checked it out for ourselves. And we were in luck, it is still open. We are not Chinese food experts, we are just your average Netflix binging couple who like to pig out on the couch. Usually I like to toss back a few beers and pizzas, but every once in a while I need some variety. I am so glad we tried this place out. The food is good and the service is fast and friendly. One of the things we have missed since moving to the Georgia Coast is a good Chinese restaurant. We have tired all of the ones in SSI and Brunswick but were really never impressed with any of them. I read a Yelp review on China Town yesterday and decided to give it a try. We got a to go order and everything we had was very good. I am sure we will be making a return visit in the near future. This is the 4th Chinese restaurant I've tried in Brunswick and so far it's the best but it still doesn't match the quality and flavor of what you can find anywhere around Atlanta but so far for Brunswick it's pretty good. We ordered the Mongolian Beef and it had good flavor but the onions are way to strong for the dish and not cooked enough so they over powered everything else. My husband loved the egg rolls and I also ordered the egg drop soup but it tasted like it was from a cheap dry mix like you find in the grocery store so I threw it away. I will go again but I don't recommend the egg drop soup. read more

When I say atrocious, I'm not speaking of the taste (which I didn't really like, either) as that is subjective; no, I am referring to the food quality. I ordered the General Toe's (their spelling, not mine) combo meal and the "chicken" is basically present in the form of small shreds of meat inside of a fried dough ball - that is to say, they pack the "nuggets" with more dough than meat so as to stretch the ingredients. The vegetable rice I got with it wasn't really worse than other American Chinese places I've eaten at (with the exception of including mushrooms, but that's just me) except for the fact that, once again, in order to stretch the ingredients they pile rice beneath the chicken in order to make it appear as though there is more meat. But if there's another boxy Chinese walk in near you just head there and save your gas money.
