The Eastern Noodle is a quaint little place in a strip mall off of Cypress Mill Road in Brunswick, Georgia. We happened upon it after gassing up during travels to Florida. While probably not a typical Friday evening (we visited on Christmas Eve), the place does a brisk take out business. We chose to dine in. Delicious fare when you get hungry and want something substantial. Open air and spacious layout, situated near shopping areas and very close to Saint Simon's attractions. Highly recommend the Fish with Black Bean sauce and Shrimp Fried Brown Rice. So good, finished every bite. Take your time, explore the menu, and do ask questions. For example, some dishes come with baby shrimp or large shrimp. We prefer large so it was great the hostess explained before we ordered. Excellent service! Decent place for a good lunch. Interior decor pretty basic as an Asian restaurant, and there was plenty of seating. You order at the counter and pay first. The wall has pictures of the various dishes you can order, plus there's a menu on the counter. I enjoyed the Singapore noodles with shrimp. The vermicelli noodles were seasoned well with the curry, and the 10 shrimp served hot were also tasty. Just a right amount of heat/spice. Just wish there were more veggies than onions. It was pretty no frills here, but the food was good. I'd try something different next time. read more

I love Eastern Noodle! I go to the nearby college do it's a nice place to pop in at lunch. For a cheap lunch I usually get the egg drop soup with Crab Rangoon or Stuffed Shrimp, but if I have the money I get the F2, which is the Singapore style noodles and shrimp. The owners are both from Hong Kong and are super duper sweet. Charlie cooks in the back and his wife Ruby runs the front. If you come in often like I do they remember your order. I know one of the reviews said it was bland...some of the dishes are but I know with the noodles I get you can ask for them without spices or ask for it to be mild or very spicy. The first time I didn't specify and they were very spicy- granted I have very sensitive taste buds but I always ask for it to be mildly spiced. Overall it's a great space with unique food. The atmosphere is nice during the lunch rush but kind of awkward if you're there alone. I definitely recommend it! read more

The worst restaurant I have ever ate at. The lady is very unprofessional and rude. The food was cold and it looked like it was picked up at a local market and heated up in a microwave before being presented to me. I never post reviews, but this restaurant is our go to. Best Crab Rangoon I've ever had. You have to try the Red Bean Buns, so unique. And the Spicy Honey Chicken is my favorite entree. As others have said, no frills. But once you try it you'll keep coming back for the food. It's pretty much just Mrs Ruby and her Husband. She's great once you get to know her. My friend and I had to wait a while to check into our hotel so we stopped by for lunch. At first, we didn't know if we were at the right place because the windows were all completely covered. The lady at the counter was nice. She showed me some things on the menu. We both had the sesame chicken with fried rice and crab Rangoon. The chicken was okay.. the sauce was very watery. The rangoons were tasty but didn't have much filling in them. The tea wasn't sweet either. It was okay for $25 and a quick bite to eat. Five stars for being the best Chinese restaurant in Brunswick. It's the most authentic Chinese food in town. They have things that china one and new china don't have. The decor is nice and the waitress is also very personable if u show up more than three times. I alway got the " beef ho fun " which is like lo mein but the noodles are thicker. The red bean bud, pork buns, dimsum (shumai or pork hash) are all things u won't find in the other Chinese restrauants in the area. The beef low mein and orange chicken is also good. All entrée comes with a drink I believe. The food here makes u feel leaving healthy compared to other places. Things taste fresher, more authentic and light. I highly recommend the Stir Fried Beef Ho Fen. I could eat this dish three times a week and never get bored. The Ginger Shrimp and Steak is also good, the side of noodles is very tasty. The Eastern Noodle is the only restaurant I have been to in the Deep South that offers Red Bean Buns. Theirs are made to order of course, so be prepared to wait for a few minutes. The place for real Chinese food in SE GA. the prices are average. The Hunan Shrimp and Chicken is great, ask for peanuts to add a little texture. Shredded Pork w. Szechuan Cabbage is a must, very spicey and enough for two. The owners are fantastic and will remember what your favorites are for those times when you have a senior moment. read more

Here is another surprising place. This place is almost next door to Fancy Q, a terrible Japanese place. And what a difference a few feet make. This is mostly Chinese food, with some other Asian dishes mixed in. I got one of my favorite dishes, Singapore noodles with Shrimp. I also had some spring rolls, which was really egg rolls with shrimp as it turned, but still pretty good. The noodles were delicious and the shrimp was as well. Prices are decent and the lady at the counter was really nice. I was really impressed. Seemed like a fairly extensive menu, so I am sure I'll be back soon and try something else. read more

I didn't actually eat here. Just walked in, place was empty at 1pm on a Saturday. Sat at a table without being greeted or told what to do. Then we were yelled at that we had to order at the counter. Was willing to give it a shot anyway. Asked to order a dish without the meat and just have the tofu. The rudest woman on earth told me they don't do that, you can't get anything with just tofu, all dishes that have tofu also have meat and you can't take out the meat. For real? If I could give a -5 I would. I just ordered and the Chinese lady was already rude in tone of voice and demeanor and I'm Asian lol. I decided to cancel the order when she told me to sit down while I was browsing the menu on the counter where the menus are. It was 6:15 PM on a Thursday, I was the only customer in the restaurant that sits about 50-75. That should have been a red flag but I thought being Brunswick with a 15k population that was normal :-) I was giving it the benefit of yelp lol. I canceled my order and told her to keep my money. But she was even more pissed and demanded she will return my money. I even told her charitably about it but she said she was not rude that I'm the one who has a problem.. Truly disgusting. If I could give a negative star I would. The steamed dumplings were ok, but everything else I ordered was really gross.. tasted like they used ocean water to make it.. was so insanely salty! Also my order was inaccurate.. they seem to pride themselves on the variety of noodles.. I ordered three dishes each with a different noodle... Every single dish was given to me with the same vermicelli noodles. The soups are really disgusting. Pure salt water. They don't even bother to actually make a soup, they give you an extremely salty broth and in a separate container meat that is way too salty to eat and poorly cooked noodles and way overcooked vegetables. In addition to my incorrect order, the woman at the counter argued with me loudly throughout the restaurant that I ordered what she brought out. I did not.
