The place is clean, but run down. Mostly a takeout joint. 4 tables to sit at, but one was taken by the kids of someone working. I was really hoping for some amazing Chinese food. This place was pretty average. The hot & sour soup was not good. The egg drop soup was mostly flavorless. I added some soy sauce to give it some more flavor and was able to finish it. Fried wontons were decent. The General Tsos was good enough to eat, and that's the best i can say about it. The lemon chicken, however, was quite good. I don't understand their fried rice. It's that orange rice that somehow has no real flavor. It's a letdown. The egg rolls though! The egg rolls were good! I'm from NYC and have had my share of mediocre Chinese food, but this was the worst. The hot and sour soup was so spicy that it was inedible. The seafood dinner (we're out of lobster, I'll add extra shrimp) was chock full of that fake crab stuff. And I ordered garlic sauce instead of the white sauce that it came with. Absolutely awful! I ordered delivery and unfortunately they ran out of Chicken wings due to busier than normal night. Pooey. Anyway, the togo order person was very apologetic and friendly. She was really multitasking really well with other incoming calls, Walk in customers, and pickup order customers. I ordered a large Bourbon Chicken with Broccoli, small hot and sour soup and fried cream cheese wontons. She repeated my order. Didn't give an ETA so I wouldn't order if you're super hungry...lol. Really, from phone call to delivery it was a little less than an hour. The entire order was hot and CORRECT with all appropriate condiments, utensils and napkins! The soup was good. I think it needed some more sour and spiciness. The wontons were good as well as the sweet and sour sauce. The cream cheese filling was decent. The Large Bourbon Chicken came with a small steamed rice..kinda disappointed about that. It tasted okay..lacks some flavor...I wouldn't order it again. I think I had about 6 small Broccoli Spears. Chicken was slightly over cooked so it was dry and chewy. It's really not bad for Americanized Chinese food delivery. They take credit cards at your door with their machine. A family tradition growing up....the wonton soup is still my favorite. The spareribs are finger lock-in' good and the sesame chicken special has gravy to die for. If you're staying at FLETC, you don't have a whole lot of delivery options. And because my Jamaican place didn't have a driver tonight, I tried China One. I ordered a small roast pork with Chinese vegetables, hot and sour soup and an order of veggie spring rolls. Pros: the rice was cooked very nicely and the roast pork was surprisingly tender. Not to mention that my entire meal was $14 and the "small" entree was rather large and lasted two meals. And the most important for me was that the hot and sour soup was nicely sour. Good job, China One. Cons: I've never eaten so much celery in my life. Everything had celery in it, especially the soup. It might as well have been sour celery soup. Also, the fried spring rolls were really doughy and lacked that crispy/crunchy texture that most spring rolls have. Even the crunchies that come with the soup wasn't crispy. You know you're in the south when you ask for hot sauce and they respond with, "Like tabasco? Or like chili oil?" Who the hell is putting tabasco on kung pao anything? read more

I just moved to Brunswick GA from Colorado Springs CO. I ordered for lunch through beyond menu and had it delivered to my job and my co worker ordered also. My co workers chicken was raw and the cheese steak egg roll was ALL ONION NO STEAK AT ALL. The pot stickers had something hard that wasn't gristle. Upon calling the restaurant to request a refund for the order, the lady on the phone hung up in my face and didn't address anything I had said. My co worker called and she was told someone was coming up to my job to get the food. When the delivery driver and a co worker came up to where we were they proceeded to talk in their native language to eachother and on the phone to the owner on the phone. When Beyond Menu called them to confirm cancellation , the female told him to hold the cancellation and she would call him back to tell him the correct amount to refund. THEY WERE TRYING TO PRORATE MY REFUND FOR THE LITTLE BIT OF FOOD WE HAD EATEN! When I confronted the young lady that I expect my whole refund she was rude and walked off and never apologized or had any kinda of empathy for the situation. Beyond Menu confirmed my cancellation and promised me a whole refund, however I will never eat here again and will advise people I know to not give China One their business. read more

This is pretty good Chinese food for SE Georgia! I ordered General Tso's chicken (with white rice) and hot and sour soup. The chicken was really well made - all the pieces were the same size and evenly cooked. Sometimes at restaurants in big cities you get large chunks of dry chicken that's mostly batter. It was prepared well and tastes delicious too! The soup was equally good and had all authentic ingredients. Delivery was fast! The person who took my order was friendly and told me it would take 45-60 minutes, however, my food came in 32 minutes. Everything in the delivery bag was packed nicely, including the food, utensils, napkins, and duck and soy sauce (bonus! wasn't expecting that). My only complaints are that there aren't more vegetable dishes (which makes sense as there are no Asian grocery stores around), and my General Tso's chicken only came with a little bit of broccoli. read more

Like so many others, I've had Chinese food in all parts of the country, from China Town in San Francisco, L.A., Boston, Atlanta . . even a great meal at a restaurant called chop Sticks in Dothan, Alabama. I spent 10 years at FLETC and can assure you that the students make up a respectful percentage of their business, but are by no means "a staple" for them. You and I make up the majority. Finally! A place in Brunswick with good fried rice! Taste like what you get in Atlanta, all of north Georgia, and in North Carolina. Not sure what that crap is the other chinese places in town calls fried rice. The egg roll was hot and fresh, the sweet and sour chicken had plenty of chicken when most places is mostly breading and like I said the rice was great. I frequently travel to Brunswick to teach at a federal training center. I always eat take out meals at least three or four times while I am there. The food is good (I love the fried rice, and the house special lo mein), and it always arrives hot. The prices are very reasonable, and the quality is consistent. You won't be disappointed. Unless, of course, you are a food snob... in which case, you probably won't be eating at the local Chinese takeout. read more

Pretty good Chinese food. I like this place because they deliver and their food is good, but after ordering food today for the first time in a few months, I am disappointed with their service. The food came promptly, but they did include any spoons, forks, or napkins. Not to mention, they did not even add fortune cookies. Let me preface this review with "I've never been to Brunswick before." With this being said, I was in search for some comfort food and after having a less than pleasant experience at Wok N Roll I used Yelp again to bail me out of this situation of not being able to find good Chinese food in this area. I was satisfied with just about all of my experience here. I ordered Crab Rangoon, Fried Dumplings, and Fried Wontons. The portions were not as big as I had expected but the quality of the food was good. It's very possible that I could be in this area again and I would definitely order from this restaurant again. If you are used to spicy dumpling sauce, you won't find it here so make sure you ask for chili oil and mix it with the sauce that they give you for the dumplings. Store was in a safe area and appeared to be as clean as one could expect for the time of day that I was there. I went with a friend who told me later that his order was very good as well. read more

China One is a staple of anyone attending FLETC trainings because they deliver on base. Which is unfortunate. The food is average on a good day. But the real reason for the low rating is the terrible service. I've ordered from them three times and received the wrong order each time. The last time the mistake was pretty significant and they offered to send over replacements for the mistake. Over an hour later I called back and they said they were leaving in five minutes. Which clearly made it seem like they had no intention to do as they said. So if you're attending fletc, stick to pizza if you need delivery. read more

I ordered teriyaki chicken (which I was surprised to see at a Chinese restaurant) with shrimp fried rice for delivery. I'm around four miles away from the restaurant, so I was also surprised when it was forty five minutes later that my food finally arrived...in a taxi cab. Aside from the shock of that incident, the food was pretty much average. The pieces of chicken were rather large, the portions were okay and the egg roll was average. About what I expected. I'd be willing to try the place again, but would definitely order something different...and probably not delivery. read more
