That said, after today's visit, I stand corrected. The exterior is run down and the lighting inside is depressing, but the place is clean, the staff is nice and the pricing is competitive. If this place had a robust meat selection, I think they could give Uwajimaya a run. I didn't find everything I was looking for, but the dry spices and vegetables were exactly what I was after. I didn't see cabbage or celery, but the selection was still more diverse than any other store I've visited. My singular knock was the two guys stocking the store. Both were kind and polite, but they also had radios blasting music. I'm sensitive to sound, so it made it hard for me to focus and I'm sure a couple items I was after I missed, because I couldn't stay in the area where they were stocking merch. Bulk spices tend to last, so it may be a minute before I find my way back here. That said, this will be my go to spice store.

Found boxes of instant noodles that we liked on sale, got some Milka chocolate, fruits, fresh vegetables, Indian Naan and Paratha bread, spices, Asian sauces, etc. It was a great shopping experience since we hadn't visited this store in a long time.

All of the wonderful foods that are produced. But the products and spices necessary to produce these unique dishes are not found in your typical Western-based grocery store. And often times, these products must follow strict religious sanitary rules. There must be a grocer that can carry these sundries to make your dish what you remember from home. In comes the International Food Bazzar! Located on the northern Kent border in the industrial park area, this deceptively large grocery holds products from the Middle East, India, Pakistan, and a few others representing South Asia. The store is Halaal certified, and for those looking for that regional specific product from that region, it is most likely here. Going in, I was not prepared for excitement that I felt walking when I walked in to find the spices and curries I was looking for but could easily not find in a western North America based grocery store. Even the frozen food section was a treat: frozen Naan bread, frozen Saag Paneer to take for lunch, and brands of 25 pound bags of basmahti rice. Let's not forget the busy butchery section preparing several Halal cuts for the long line of customers, all awaiting their turn to put their personal request in. It's a great relationship that is forged. As someone who wants to eat as authentically as possible without the America-substituted analogs, I have found joy in this place that can make my dishes shine the way they were intended. Visit the International Food Bazaar for your next shopping trip!

My bf reminds me of this store we randomly came across one day. It has what the store in Lakewood has but more grocery options. Cute and homey store. I spent about 30mins+ give or take shopping for the family. There are many options of trinkets, chocolates (alcohol ones too) , drinks, mustards, curry ketchups, gummy candy, bread, gravy etc. I did notice they don't carry any Maggie products for gravy and such. I know that was my bro's first question as he prefers that brand lol. The staff is really kind. The deli dude was patient with me as I told him I have a lot to order. I met the female owner and she's a sweetheart. The cashier lady was also so helpful as I couldn't find a specific brand candy. She pointed me in the right direction and luckily there was enough :) There's plentiful parking in the lot, and can get pretty cramped when busy as it's not a big store but has many options. My basket total in my picture provided is $255. My brother in law asked me to take them here next time they're in town as there's so much to look at.

With the exception of one older produce employee, older short guy he's nice and will respond like a human to your questions. It's ok not there to talk to the staff here to look at the cool interesting food they have. If you come here, take your time and look around you might need to visit a few times to know where things are but once you don't have to ask for anything from any of the staff members you'll be alright. Be careful where you park.. don't bring your nice car to this parking lot it won't be as nice after you leave.. or have someone stay with the car.

They have a huge parking lot and are also attached to a few deli, coffee, food counters which is nice. Deals can be great from time to time. Unfortunately - 3 out of the 4 types of fruit that we got were all overripe and had gone bad (but everything is packaged in plastic so you cant even tell or open to look at the whole fruit). The milk apple, the baby green mangoes, and the mamey fruit. They were tried the same day - which means they were already really bad when picked off the shelf. Was so excited to eat these exotic fruits and sorely let down because they tasted so off they had to go straight in the bin. This has happened more than once shopping here. Firstly, there needs to be more quality control if we were to shop their produce again... And *please, stop* with the excessive plastic use wrapping everything in saran wrap and foam trays that is not only horrible for the environment but traps/infuses toxins and microplastics in our fruits and veggies. There is so much potential here, but I'm not going to throw money down the drain by continually buying bad produce.

It does get crowded, especially on weekends so it can be a little difficult, but you'll eventually find parking. I came today during Thanksgiving and they were open, which was really nice. I love how big this market is. They have everything from fresh produce to frozen aisles, canned goods, and even fresh seafood. They even have live fish and crabs, pretty much anything you can imagine. The service here is helpful too. There are a lot of workers around and they're always willing to point you in the right direction. They only do assisted self-checkout, so you can't scan everything on your own, but there are plenty of lanes open. The ambiance is a little on the dirtier side though. A lot of the produce didn't look super clean, and some items felt like they were placed everywhere. The bananas I saw were a bit brown and rotten, and I feel like they could've tidied that up. Their prices are on the cheaper side, which is great, but that doesn't always mean the quality is the best. We bought some packaged bok choy today, and when we opened it, half of it was mouldy and even had little bugs. The price is low, but you're not always getting the best quality. Overall, the market is still great for other items like canned goods, we love getting their canned fruit for sweet treats. It was still a good experience, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area or need something quick.
