This has to be the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. And I've eaten a quite a few from back alley food stands to great Chinese cuisine. I decided to go safe and order the most common dishes so i could at least give it a fair chance. Nothing complicated. First time here. Where to start. The wonton soup was not even palatable. One spoonful was all it took. It tasted like onions in French dip sauce. The egg wonton was just yellow liquid. Literally. That's all it was. Nothing in it. Just plain old yellow liquid. The General Tso chicken was covered in a brown sauce. I've never seen that. Dark brown and Was not even spicy. It was sweet beyond anything- like eating molasses. The crab wontons "rangoons" we're soft and the inside had a weird texture and taste-like eating mayonnaise. The egg roll was soaked in grease and rubbery. The steamed rice was the only shining beacon of hope. Which is all we ate after 30 dollars worth of food. As i sat down i thought what the heck what's my fortune say. "You will experience new things in life". No joke. As i bite into the cookie. It is soft and extremely stale. Tasted like old tortilla left out to long. Never again. read more

Good at tentative staff. I went with the Google and Yelp recommendation and ordered the imperial Chicken and Orange Beef .... Mistake! The beef was greasy and very tough. It had inedible strips of orange zest coating every chunk of beef. The chicken was accompanied with a nice length of fried string and tough, could not bite through pieces of baby corn. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the town. They give a huge portion and their Lunch menu is specially great. I love their WonTon soup, I wish they will include it in one of their soup of the day. Egg drop is good, but specially the free cookies kind of thing that comes with the soup is great. There are ample parking, so that is great. Also, the restaurant itself has a wonderful feel inside with Chinese music. When I go there, I always select the windows seat so that I can see the creek flowing outside and car running on the road. read more

The food is very fresh and tasty. I love their fried tofu in garlic sauce. My absolute favorite. Their hot and sour soup is also excellent. Their serving size portions are wonderful! We came on a Friday night and in my opinion waited way too long for our dishes. On top of this my family had to send back some ribs that wasn't hot when it arrived. The waitress said the cooks forgot to reheat the food once the BBQ sauce was added. During this long wait I had a few sweet teas and they were good. The menu says no free refills but the waitress mentioned no such thing and I did not see additional charges on the menu. No free refills on tea would be a deal breaker for me. I ordered the chicken fried rice, a basic dish, as I had not been here in at least 5 years. It was great, but the chicken was not velvet like it is at a nearby competitor. I was happy with the portion size though. For $11 it was a good amount of food. Originally I was going to give 3 stars for the overall experience but my food was good and so was the tea, so 4 stars for me. While visiting the area I stopped in at the China Restaurant based on good reviews. I ordered seafood delight. Strangely the server didn't know what that was (however it was clearly shown in the menu) and he came back out from the kitchen to get me to show him what I wanted. I didn't think this was a good sign, but I was commited at this point. A little while later the food came out and it looked good. When I took the first bite of crab (imtation) I almost spit it out. I couldn't believe how bad it tasted, then I tried the shrimp, it was rubbery and overcooked, then the scallops, horrible. I told the workers there how bad it was and they offered to make something else, however I was afraid to risk that so I paid full price and tip and left, never to return. Buyer beware! read more

My boyfriend and I have always thoroughly enjoyed our food from here. We mostly order take out so I'm unable to comment on the service. Although, the one time we dined in, we didn't have any problems with the wait staff. Our food is always hot and fresh; my favorite is their hot and sour soup. I am not one to complain unless service is downright terrible. First, my water came out with a lime that had a hair on it. Then, our food took forever. My boyfriend never got his soup and my soup came out the same time as my entree. My soup also had an eyelash in it. Our sushi finally came ten minutes after our entrees and the salmon inside didn't seem right. We asked the girl for our check and she kept walking by for ten minutes without bringing it. First of all let me say that I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a baby and through every owner change (Harry, Patty, the new gentleman and his daughter from China Buffet by Luby's), therefore I am very familiar with China Restaurant. Today (6/6/15) will most likely be the last time I go there. I was not very hungry so I skimmed through the menu and decided I would just get two egg rolls. If you did not know they are a very good size and filling. I had no issue with the food but rather the staff. The blonde cashier and another women were for some reason laughing at my order. This bothered me as they did it in a rude manner sort of mocking it. Since the kitchen is right next to the till everything could be easily heard. I was slightly confused as to what was so funny and thought to myself "what if that is all I could afford? would it be appropriate for them to be laughing then?" I have made this same order before with the manager, who has also been there through every owner change and he has never made me feel uncomfortable. For someone that is clearly in charge (the blonde female) I would expect a little more professionalism. I did say to her at the end that I heard them laughing and she just kept a big smile on her face. Utterly rude. read more
