Nice little take out spot located in Lauderhill. Food was fresh and tasty. Nice portions. Quick prep time!

So I just ordered a wonton soup with extra dumplings and I kid you not I used to work for the health department and I just found mold on one of my dumplings in the soup. This is not good and I'm very upset.

This is the only place I will order Chinese food. The food is freshly cooked.

Good food, fast delivery reasonable prices. I only order for takeout, it really isn't a dine in.

I give it 2 stars because they were fast. Order Kung Pao Tofu. Awful. Doubt I will eat here again.

This is strictly a takeout restaurant, there are no dining tables, just a counter to place your order and a small bench inside if you need to wait. Honestly, I kind of appreciate the lack of ambiance because those little hole in the wall spots often end up serving some of the best food. The woman who took my order was so warm and welcoming. The menu features all of the American Chinese favorites you would expect, including soups, appetizers, chow mein, lo mein, fried rice, egg foo young, sweet and sour dishes, chicken, roast pork, beef, seafood, and several house specialties. They also offer a lunch special, which includes your choice of entrée, pork fried rice, and wonton soup. For just a little extra, I added a couple of egg rolls. I ordered the honey garlic chicken, beef and broccoli, and chicken lo mein. Everything was packed up with plenty of sauces, crispy fried noodles, and fortune cookies. The food was fresh with generous portions. We enjoyed everything we tried, and there was more than enough left over for another meal later. Combined with the friendly service and reasonable prices, Jan Mei Chinese is a great option when you're craving comfort Chinese takeout. If I'm in the area and looking for another quick meal, I would happily return.

I ordered the boneless ribs, pork egg rolls, chicken chow mein, beef lo mein, and pork fried rice. Everything was spectacular! Nothing was greasy, not one bit, not even the egg rolls. I'm a truly happy human. Takeout only is my opinion. And drive there with a friend, the area's a little--questionable. The person who took my order--efficient. The woman who took payment upon arrival--equally efficient, happy, and polite. My husband says: "I love it!" I'm glad we found our place.

I came here on a weekday a few hours after they open, so it wasn't really busy. I placed my order with ease. Ordered the chicken wings lunch special with shrimp fried rice. And then I ordered a side of crab Rangoon. The best part of my meal was the crab Rangoon and that saying a lot because they weren't great. Another place where the crab Rangoon is packed with cheese and nothing else, but at least the price reflects that here. I ordered the honey garlic, lemon pepper wings. They were highly disappointing. I didn't taste the lemon pepper and they weren't as crispy as I would have liked them to be, even though I asked for well done. The rice was even more disappointing. I paid extra for shrimp and it literally came 4 shrimp. Small shrimp at that. The rice taste burnt, and it had this gas flavor burned into it. Anyways, money down the drain I threw most of it away.

One Star -- The Worst Chinese Restaurant Experience I Have Ever Had…read more I had an extremely disappointing lunch at Toa Toa Dim Sum & Seafood. My meal cost $62.96, but the food quality and the owner's response were completely unacceptable. The waitress recommended the stir-fried conch ($34.99). It was tasteless and so chewy that it felt like eating rubber bands. The green vegetables served with it were extremely tough and almost impossible to chew. I explained the problem to the owner. To my surprise, he admitted that he already knew about it. I asked him why he would continue serving a dish that he knew had a problem and could barely be eaten. He simply smiled. There was no apology, no expression of regret, no discount, and no offer to replace the dish. The pork buns ($6.95) were extremely dry. The steamed shrimp dumplings ($6.95) fell apart as soon as I picked one up with my chopsticks because the wrappers were breaking. When I mentioned this, the owner told me that I could not compare his food with food in Hong Kong. I was not expecting the highest Hong Kong standards--I was simply expecting basic quality from a Chinese restaurant. The final dish, steamed vegetables with oyster sauce, was badly overcooked. The owner said that he had taken over the restaurant about a month ago, although Toa Toa has been here for several years. Based on this experience, I believe the food has become even worse under the new ownership. Every dish I ordered had a quality problem, and the owner's dismissive response made the experience even worse. I left feeling that I had completely wasted $62.96. Even if this food were free, I would not want to eat it again. This was the worst Chinese restaurant experience I have ever had. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I've never heard of this restaurant, nor did I read any reviews prior to ordering…read more I placed an order via Grubhub today, and I was a bit impressed, mainly for the flavors. Everything arrived within 40 min, still hot. I ordered a ramen broth, an order of tempura shrimp along with the spicy yaki udon. The udon was not spicy at all, but very delicious. Not sure why it's referred to as "spicy", there was not a single sight of red or green chilies. I would have loved for it to have a kick of spice, but nevertheless, still delicious. The appetizer shrimp a fail, they did feel a bit chewy/ rubbery, and dry. This was not my favorite. The hot ramen broth was soothing and on a cool day like today, well worth it. I wish that my order had arrived with chopsticks, or some type of utensils. None were provided, not even napkins. And I was a little disappointed that no sauces were provided, not even for the noodles. Often times some oriental places will provide siracha or some type of chill sauce. Perhaps this places does not offer those condiments? I wish that I could have given this a 4, even 5 star, but ordering from a food service one would hope the meal arrived with at least chopsticks, or some napkins. If I visit the restaurant in person, I'll be sure to update my review then.
