I've never heard of this restaurant, nor did I read any reviews prior to ordering. I placed an order via Grubhub today, and I was a bit impressed, mainly for the flavors. Everything arrived within 40 min, still hot. I ordered a ramen broth, an order of tempura shrimp along with the spicy yaki udon. The udon was not spicy at all, but very delicious. Not sure why it's referred to as "spicy", there was not a single sight of red or green chilies. I would have loved for it to have a kick of spice, but nevertheless, still delicious. The appetizer shrimp a fail, they did feel a bit chewy/ rubbery, and dry. This was not my favorite. The hot ramen broth was soothing and on a cool day like today, well worth it. I wish that my order had arrived with chopsticks, or some type of utensils. None were provided, not even napkins. And I was a little disappointed that no sauces were provided, not even for the noodles. Often times some oriental places will provide siracha or some type of chill sauce. Perhaps this places does not offer those condiments? I wish that I could have given this a 4, even 5 star, but ordering from a food service one would hope the meal arrived with at least chopsticks, or some napkins. What a lovely restaurant. The plaza offers plenty of parking, the interior is very clean, organized, and beautifully decorated. The staff are kind, courteous, helpful, and efficient. The menu offers a wide variety of food and drinks. I tried a poke bowl to go, and was amazed at the very large assortment of options for toppings as well as sauces. I am so grateful to have this place nearby! My poke bowl was delicious and filling, the portion size is generous. Will definitely return, I'd like to try their drinks as well. Wandered into this place for a poke bowl to go. I placed an order online and headed over. The location was unfamiliar and that night all the lights in the parking lot were out. I learned this was NOT normal while I was waiting for my food, but make for a creepy first visit. I had a seat and waited since I arrived early. The staff was friendly and did not ignore me. It looked like a nice place to dine in too. I liked how this place had poke options that were unique. I eat a lot of poke so its nice to be able to change it up. The seasoned tofu was nice and different. The quantity looked small but it filled me up. The cost was on the higher end of poke bowls but I was able to customize my bowl a lot without extra charges. Really cute spot tucked away in a plaza! Stopped in with my siblings for boba tea as dessert after dinner. The staff was very kind and helpful and they have a wide range of flavors. I got my usual of a taro smoothie with crystal boba and my siblings got the thai tea and passionfruit green tea. My taro smoothie was really delicious and they had so many boba choices to choose from. However my favorite of the orders was my sisters passionfruit green tea. The quality and the quantity of the food was very good however there were a few things that marred my experience. I ordered using the Yelp app. Pressed the big red button that said order. That was my first mistake. Yelp is partnered with Grubhub who is partnered with the restaurant. I chose take-out and ordered my meal. I ordered the House Salmon Signature Bowl. I arrived at the restaurant, about 15 mins later, the time my food was supposed to be prepared and ready for pick up. My food was not prepared, which was a good thing because I ordered brown rice and when I saw the young lady open the brown rice pot, there was very little in the pot and it looked hard. I asked if she could give me the sushi rice instead, which she did. As I'm waiting I notice that the price for the dish is $16. I had just paid $19.95 using the Order button on Yelp. So I ask the young lady who tells me that I used an app and because of that there's a surcharge. I had just driven 15 mins to pick up my own food so I didn't understand why the price difference. I asked to speak to the manager who just repeated what the young lady told me. He also said you can order from their website directly and avoid the surcharge. It was my first time patronizing the place so lesson learned and I left with my food. When I got home I found that I was not provided a sauce for the dish. On their menu, they advertise that it comes with House sauce. Fortunately I had some dark soy sauce in the fridge to top the bowl with. Without it, it was fresh and bountiful but lacking flavor throughout. Now I know, if you are picking up, go there and have them prepare your bowl in front of you. read more

The bowl comes with,Ahi tuna (raw), green and purple onion, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, seaweed salad, sesame seed, and crispy onion with Hawaiian Sauce and Poke Sauce (creamy, citrus, spicy, and sweet. Full disclosure: if my fish isn't basically fished out of the water an hour before I consume it, it's never fresh enough for me. This place is fair to middling. I tried their poke and got the ahi tuna and krab salad. The tuna was not fresh enough, but if you put the sauce on it the mild stale/fishy taste was covered up well enough. They seem to have too many toppings, several of the toppings clearly looked like they had been sitting all day and were a bit old. They also give you a veritable ton of rice, a bit excessive and wasteful. It wasn't a bad poke bowl, but it wasn't very good either. I also ordered a bao bun and the silky wonton soup and thought both were VERY good! The vibes were great. Cozy/chill inside. Not a ton of seating, but several 2 person tables available and some couches. The staff was great, very pleasant and nice. The facilities were clean. I might not come back as they're a bit of a trek from my house, and not good enough for that. If you're not insanely picky about your poke, id recommend giving this place a try. read more

The food is really good and fresh. Portion size is big. There's so many veggie options and you can get avocado or various tofu options as the protein if you don't eat meat. I got sushi rice as my base and spicy tuna and Atlantic salmon as my two protein choices. Plus a bunch of toppings. The sushi rice was a great balance of soft and chewy, and the salmon and tuna were fresh. Service was friendly and quick, everyone was helpful. There is plenty of seating inside and outside, and there are some games inside even for if you get bored while your short wait for boba. I don't know how I've never made my way out to this place before today! Wow, my poke bowl from here was amazing and the restaurant is super cute. It's order at the counter style. They have a wide variety of toppings, sauces, and poke. I got the ahi tuna and ahi salmon, both of which were super fresh tasting. They also have a little guide by the sauces indicating which have dairy, gluten, etc. which is super helpful for us customers with dietary restrictions. Sovereign offers great value poke bowls and other items! I needed some food after getting my nails done next door. Being on a health stride I wanted to eat something on the healthier lighter side. I opted for a poke bowl with tofu and ahi tuna. It was delicious! They call it the "Poke My Way" bowl. You pay at the register then do a chipotle style line of choosibg he base ( rice, zucchini noodles etc), the protein ( fish options, tofu etc) and then a good selection of toppings and a choice or 2 of sauces on top or on the side! I took mine to go but they have a spacious inside that was not packed with people when I was there. My nail lady also recommended their ramen, and poke bowls fo me. They also have a good selection of appetizers including shrimp shumai and dumplings. I was impressed as some non-sit down Asian restaurants don't have all these food options and often just choose one type of food to focus on. Happy with my food selection, portion taste and quality!! The one thing I love about Sovereign that keeps me a customer over the span of a few years is their consistency and service. In a market where poke restaurants are a dime a dozen, sovereign is the only one I will drive a distance to come to. Their food is consistently fresh with great flavor and I always bring it a point to bring friends here to show them just how poke needs to be done. No matter how long the line is, the cashier will always greet you with a smile and walk you through the menu. This is a favorite of mine especially when I bring guests who have never had poke. I always build my bowl and every single time it never really lets me down! I'm an appetizer girly so my favorite of theirs is the ribs. Definitely try them but they must be shared! The ambiance is trendy with fun music playing and the space is pretty big; I remember when they were even smaller before their expansion! Only miss about the place is the chairs aren't comfortable. But that's because I'm hovering over my bowl like a feral animal to consume the most delicious poke bowls. Tehehehe. Sovereign has to be my favorite local spot. I first tried it right before the pandemic and happily continued to support them during it. My go-to's are the Poke my Way, pork bao buns, and the pan fried dumplings. For the poke, you pick a base and a protein, and then go down the line of ingredients, adding what you'd like to the bowl. The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. They have a rewards program, so that if you enter your phone number in on your visits, you'll accumulate points and earn rewards. My reward today was a yummy boba tea (my second of the day ) This is my first time going since they fully re-opened the indoor dining area since Covid, and I was happy to see it! Joel liked the mango & banana smoothie, my taro milk tea was extremely sweet, the taro flavor wasn't strong enough, and the brown sugar boba taste more like brown sugar jellies (I don't know if they gave me the right ones, but I didn't like the texture at all). It's a cute little spot, but the young ladies working there were more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. (There were 3 of them standing at the cash register directly in front of us when we were ordering, one of them had to signal to her co-worker to finish helping us because they were so busy having a conversation in the midst of taking our order).
