Under new ownership, the rice was awesome. The spare ribs were awesome. The chicken fingers were just OK.

Far from fancy, but the food is fresh and the portions are huge. Their General Gao's chicken is outstanding.

Gave this place another shot. Still better options like Jade 3 right down the street.

The food is good. Price is average for a Chinese takeout joint. Service is usually decent, but could be a little friendlier.

There a few tables that you can sit at if you'd prefer to eat there -- the outside doesn't appeal to me so I've never eaten in. Like all Chinese/Asian restaurants I've ordered from, the basics are all on the menu. However, the food always varies depending on something (the weather, the cook, how busy they are, etc). I don't know what the key is to consistently getting the same ingredients in the same dish. Sometimes I get carrots or mushrooms in a dish and other times it won't have the same vegetables. So I am not knocking Jade 3 for this because it's prevalent across the whole Chinese take away experience. The crab rangoon is fine. They are 8 or 16 to an order. I prefer it when they aren't fried to a dark crisp. The texture is good. I would say that it tends to be a little sweet tasting but otherwise fine. Chicken fingers are the same -- number and variation in crispy. Unfortunately the batter is fairly thick and it tends to hold a lot of the cooking oil. My most recent order the chicken fingers were so greasy that I couldn't eat half of them. If you order online or through DoorDash, you can get some adjustments to the meals. This is helpful since I can't have green peppers and that is a very common vegetable in many of the items. I ask them to hold it due to my allergy and they have always accommodated that request. Both chicken and beef dishes offer a decent amount of protein and are tender. None of the entrees come with rice, so be prepared to spend another $4.50-$7 to get plain white rice and more money for brown rice or anything else. (This is not a thing where I'm from originally so it's worth noting bc it took a bit for me to realize that nobody on the East Coast automatically considered rice as part of the entree dish/cost.) I would also recommend that Lo Mein. The noodles are good. Serving is a very full container and I can usually get a couple meals from it. They offer a small or large portion and the cost difference is only a few dollars but the volume difference is pretty substantial. I don't think you necessarily get a lot more meat in the larger portion but you certainly have more noodles and vegetables. Lastly, I would recommend the dumplings. The order is from the appetizer section and they come steamed or fried. I always get them steamed and enjoy the flavor of the meat filling. It comes with a slightly sweet sauce. They offer Coke products in the 20oz plastic bottles. Be sure to check the bag for these! The driver has been sent out without the beverages on a few occasions. That's frustrating for me and the driver who has had to go back to get the drinks. Jade 3 is the go-to spot for my basic Chinese food. They are very quick with the cooking, typically the delivery is very fast and I'm a happy customer. If I want something more exotic or I want sushi, I will order elsewhere. Otherwise it is Jade 3.... Fortune cookies are generally fine. Once in awhile you will get a stale batch.

The food is very delicious and the service is great. It is also very good and very deliciousread more

9 Dragons is the sister restaurant of the legendary Kowloon restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus, MA…read more While 9 Dragons was opened by the same family and still offers some of the same dishes as the original restaurant, this place is quite the glow up from the Kowloon in regards to the food, atmosphere and service. The restaurant itself is stylish and intimate. The space boasts eye catching decor from neon signs and a mahjong tile doorway to big murals and light fixtures in the form of umbrellas and lanterns. The menu is printed to look and feel like a Hong Kong Hollywood newspaper which I also thought was really cool. The menu here is smaller and more focused than the one at the Kowloon, but I did see that it still offers a handful of the Kowloon's signature dishes. In the case of this restaurant, I definitely feel that the limited menu is essential to producing higher quality dishes. We shared a scorpion bowl cocktail for two, which was served in a cute beckoning cat drinking vessel. For food we got the scallion pancake, the General Gau's chicken and the Brussels sprouts. The food came out about ten minutes after we ordered which initially made me a little bit nervous about the food quality, but once we dug in we could tell that the food was quite fresh. The scallion pancake was nice and crispy on the outside, a little bit chewy on the inside and was served with a ginger sauce for dipping. The Brussels sprouts were prepared Kung Pao style with peanuts and a touch of chili pepper. The General Gau's chicken was fried well, coated in a delightfully sweet and spicy sauce and topped with crispy fried rice noodles. We are just about every morsel on the plates. We knew had to save a little room for dessert here when we saw that they serve a giant chocolate dipped fortune cookie that they smash apart with a mallet right at the table. Served alongside some ice cream, the giant fortune cookie is a super sweet and fun way to finish your time here. Additionally, it came as a pleasant surprise when our check came and it was not quite as high as we were anticipating, especially when you consider that the restaurant is housed inside of a casino. All in all, 9 Dragons left us with a great first impression. A great addition to the Seacoast.

We started with the Crab Rangoon and Calamari, both of which were delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the Teriyaki Steak Skewers with rice, and my friends had all the same--the Polynesian Cashew Chicken with rice. Every dish was flavorful, well prepared, and the portions were just right. For cocktails, we tried the Scorpion Bowl for Two, Lotus Mai Tai, Coconut Banana Mai Tai, and Dragon's Law. My personal favorite was the Coconut Banana Mai Tai--it was sweet and refreshing. The Scorpion Bowl was good, but a bit too strong for my taste with a heavy gin kick. To finish the evening, we shared the Coconut Green Tea Affogato, a creamy coconut green tea ice cream dessert with warm oolong tea poured over the top. It was something different and absolutely delicious. The staff, especially our server, were friendly, attentive, and made sure we enjoyed our entire dining experience. One thing I wish had been mentioned is the tarot & fortune reading experience offered at the restaurant. We only noticed it tucked away in the back hallway while heading to the restrooms. It would be great if diners were made aware of it since it seems like a fun way to end the night. Overall, the food was outstanding, the drinks were creative, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
