I had been going here up until 2023, and the people who run it changed. I have been twice lately and the lady who takes your order has screwed it up two times and I am sorry to say - food quality has gone down hill. I will NOT be going again. I am done. I felt like the pork fried rice was bland. It was slightly smoked, almost Polynesian style which I like, but had minimal flavor. The pork egg rolls had more cabbage than anything and the spare ribs were dry. The steamed dumplings have a thick coating which I hate but the filling is good. I've gotten takeout from Peking Chinese Restaurant a few times since they offer 27 Luncheon Specials ($5.50-$5.70) and 25 Dinner Combinations ($7.55-$7.95). They also serve Chef Specials such as Sesame Beef, Pan Fried Noodles, Crispy Aromatic Shrimp and others ($9.50-$12.50). The General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Fingers, and the Shrimp Lo Mein are decent. While I wait for my food, there are free local tourist newspapers to read and coin candy dispensers near the counter, a great energy pick me up after a quick jog. It's not fancy or air conditioned. Just a few tables, a counter, and a cooler of soda and water. Very clean. It's nothing special, but not bad for a quick bite. The portions are generous and you can't beat the lunch specials. You get an entree, rice, and choice of egg roll, soup, or crab rangoon. I ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon, and rice. I also ordered the Shanghai Spring Rolls. The Lo Mein was pretty good, rice is rice, the crab rangoon wasn't very good. The Shanghai Spring Rolls were fantastic. Everything was hot and served straight from the kitchen. Service was friendly. No complaints. It's not a 4 or 5 star place, but it's definitely not a 1 or 2. read more

Was excited to get Chinese food delivered to our hotel on beach vacation. Sadly the food was not good. The beef teriyaki seemed fatty and couldn't eat it. The boneless sparerib seemed warmed up or overcooked. The yellow spicy curry shrimp chicken noodle was too spicy and shrimp not fresh, seemed like they took frozen shrimp and sautéed it in, yuk! I paid $17.71 at this restaurant I ordered a combination plate pork fried rice chicken wings and spare ribs I ordered scallion pancakes and two drinks I was eating in not taking the food home a lady walked up to me and hand me a tray good food on I look down and saw only one scoop of rice with no pork in it the chicken wings what tiny and still had hair sticking up from the wings the spare ribs was smaller than my pinky the pancake scallions where dry and cold I complained about the food but nobody did nothing while I was there a gentleman came in whatever he ordered was $9 he was taken back by how small it was he said he was going to pay with a credit card he gave me the credit card but then decided to pay for it with cash but the lady already swiped the card and charge him he then told her to void the credit card he was going to pay cash he said he wanted to get a receipt for the void instead she gave him a receipt for what he paid in cash the gentleman was frustrated and told her I want the receipt for the void of the credit card she gave it to him I guess he will never come back I wouldn't advise anyone to eat here I wish I read the reviews on Yelp before I came I'll never come back some people got sick food poisoning read more

Have been going to this restaurant for several years and owners. We always order takeout and mostly the same items. The current owners have managed to improve the quality of the food significantly. Everything we ordered tasted very fresh and not greasy, salty or over cooked. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. Came here during winter and there was no heat... freezing inside. Appearance is not cluttered, but outdated. Bathroom is relatively clean but also there are stains on the walls and floors. Kitchen looks clean and organized. The girl taking my order coughed into her hands a few times, which put my appetite on hold. She seemed friendly enough. Not good. Just.dont.do.it! I had lunch special with chicken terryaki.. the chicken was such a weird texture that it actually creeped me out to even eat it. The crab rangoon and chicken fingers just have a really weird taste to them. The pork fried rice was more like rice with 3 specs of pork & and hardly any vegetables. I understand its lunch and its cheaper but I rather get charged more and have quality food then charged less and have it not taste good. read more

I went for lunch, so this review is strictly based on that. I got the lunch combination plate of kung pao chicken with chicken fingers and fried rice. I wanted tap water, but they would not give that to me, I had to buy a 16 oz plastic bottle from an assortment of Coke products, $2. The lunch plate was $5.99, which is what earned them the star, at least it was cheap. I'll start with the friend rice, it had very little flavor, and even looked it - it was closer in color to white than the darker brown color of typical fried rice and showed no evidence of anything other than rice and coloring in it. The chicken fingers were the smallest and had the least chicken I have ever experienced. The chicken looked like it was the size of a shoe string french fry. With the batter one finger was a size between my pinkie finger and ring finger in length and width. These were by far the smallest chicken fingers I have ever seen. Frankly, there was so little chicken it was hard to tell if the taste was okay. Finally, the kung pao: the entire dish was not very spicy and had little other flavor. The sauce was very bland and the mixture was completely unbalanced and unusual. Close to half of the dish was celery. There was very very little carrot and and okay amount of peanuts and chicken - lots and lots of celery. And I like celery. I will not go back and will not recommend this to anyone. Maybe I could have ordered something else and the review would have been different. Sorry Peking Chinese Restaurant, your food was by far the worst Chinese of any style that I have ever had. read more
