Food was awesome, service was spectacular with lots of attention to detail. Ambiance was fun and romantic. We started off with a bunch of dim sun. It was very delicious and everyone at the table loved it. We then had over 10 different dishes with our large party. All of it was amazing. The peppered beef was very tender, my kids ate and inhaled all the noodles. The orange chicken was perfect and was the first thing to go. My father-in-law loved the cashew chicken. Would come back again!

We tried this restaurant in Harrod's mall . It was a domain also. We have to fall I. Line to get in . It's a decent space and has a bar. The dishes we ordered were pricey and came in a small servings. Fried Rice King Prawn was ok. The prawn were cooked perfectly. At first they mistakenly brought fried rice with egg until I told them wrong dish. The wonton soup cost $20 lbs but the serving was a small bowl with 3 wonton . The Singapore vermicelli was bland and spicy . No veggies added. So with my experience, it is a regular Chinese restaurant with pricey cost, small serving and not so good service.

Bird nest soup... do I need to say more? If you are craving some true Asian delights, this is the place to go. Duck that is being served at your table with fragrance that will transport you to Beijing, The place is beautiful, the service is formal and perfect. They have an extensive wine list for every flavor and a menu with all the classics. My favorite restaurant in London!

I have dined at China Tang several times over the last decade on visits to London. This was my first post COVID and although having to adjust my expectations somewhat feel that there is work to do to get this restaurant back on track. We had a glass of champagne which was not poured at the table, seemed a little light on the bubbles and a flute three quarters full at the princely sum of twenty five pounds. A polite word with the manager led to them doubling down saying, "this is how we always do this". OK.... The food was not up to par - the chicken squab was tasteless, the prawns though were decent. I feel that whilst a challenging time for the hospitality industry it is likely better to offer a reduced menu at the highest standards than allow things to slide and hide behind the pandemic. It risks regulars moving on especially as new openings gather pace...

This place does not bring you back to the Tang dynasty, but it does bring you back in time to the early 20th century. The venue is an enthralling Chinese and art deco fusion by David Tang and is located inside The Dorchester. The stairs down to the restaurant almost give it a seductive speakeasy vibe, and the beautiful cocktail bar and Chinese artwork only add to that vibe. The restaurant is open starting from lunch, and the food is authentic Cantonese cuisine. Dim sum and other dishes are served all day from opening to closing. I had dim sum here for lunch and tried the har kau, siu mai, and congee. All were extremely tasty, though the portion sizes are on the smaller size. China Tang is authentic food in a fine dining setting, and the prices reflect the food quality and ambiance. This is not a casual dim sum cafe where people read a newspaper while enjoying their food, and dim sum carts are not pushed around here. This is a place to go for a unique experience that may be exotic or nostalgic.

Thinking to myself, "How hard could it be to find mall-quality faux Chinese food?" I steered us to Kam Fung. She could get her kung pao chicken and I figured I'd find something. Hainanese chicken rice seemed like a good choice so I went with that. What arrived at our table made Panda Express look like a darn delicacy! I'd take fried fluorescent orange poultry over this any day of the week. My Hainanese chicken rice was goopy and unappetising and tasted worse than it looked. My friend fared slightly better with her order but not by much. I felt majorly ripped off paying the bill and still had hunger pangs as we left. To Kam Fung, I would not return.

It is unarguably the best Chinese take-away I've tried in London, though it loses out by a hair to some other places in the dine-in stakes. Their portions are HUGE which is reflected in slightly higher prices than a bog-standard Chinese, but you very much get what you pay for. Their duck is great, thai roast pork is amazing with a beautiful vinaigrette swimming with garlic and chilli. Crispy beef are incredibly moreish and the best I've ever had. Of all the years of having food at Kam Fung I didn't once have a duff dish, though as Joanne's friend (see review below) advised, that may be because I dodged the clichéd dishes. Stick with something other than the faux-Chinese BS that pervades every menu in this country and you'll do fine! Service is friendly, prices are very reasonable, food is excellent. Fully deserving of 5 stars as it does what it sets out to do excellently. It may not be the most refined restaurant, but within its field it is unquestionably the best.

Overall: 5 stars…read more Fantastic chain that offers an elevated take on Cantonese classics. I found the menu to be innovatively exciting and appropriately uses prized ingredients to elevate traditional technique without completely reinventing the wheel. Everything we ordered tasted very pleasant and excitingly luxurious on the palette. [ PART I ] Swimmer Crab Dumpling - Flavorful dumpling that retains the natural sweetness of the crab and brightened by that beautiful orange skin. Lobster Dumpling - Indulgent dumpling where the natural lobster is clearly tastable, and elevated with a touch of caviar on the beautifully crimpled crystal skin. Dover Sole Dumpling - Tender and comforting dumpling that offers a classic light flavor profile of white fish, ginger, and scallion. Truffle Siu Mai - Beautiful dumpling that has the perfect mixture of prawn, pork, and scallop. The truffle adds a complementary earthiness that works well. [ PART II ] Prawn and Gai Lan Cheung Fun - Well made dish that has intriguing layers of texture, with the crisp being the fried bean curd wrapping. I think this combination would taste even better if it were whole shrimp instead of shrimp paste/meatball and not deep fried since their other cheung fun is also crispy. Wild Mushroom Cheung Fun - morel and wild mushroom take on cheung fun is a indulgent luxury; it works well inside of the chinese donut crisp, creating a medley of textures from the soft rice crepe to the high surface area mushrooms to the crisp. Black Truffle Roasted Duck - Impressively flavorful duck dish that is powered by that additive truffle sauce. The duck is tender and goes diabolically comforting with rice. Iberico Cha Siu - Such a prime cut of honey glazed pork that has the sweetness and the balance between fat and meat of the pork. The mustard adds a light tingyness, while the michelin shaped radish offers some acidic relief. I also like that they added the Siu Yuk element with the crisp chicharron on top. Not only is rushing guests off a table deeply unhospitable, but the table remained completely empty for the rest of the evening. To cap off a frustrating experience, we were left waiting indefinitely in the bar area just to settle our bill. The culinary skill was evident, unfortunately the service here was disorganized, and unprofessional. It completely marred the evening.
