My hubby and I were running errands and wanted lunch, so we found China Taste in the strip mall and we will be back! Their food was tasty and we really enjoyed it. Their service was super quick, too - Less than 10 minutes and we had our hibachi order in hand. I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking to do Chinese take out. I came here on a lunch break and was happy to see sesame tofu on the menu. Pickup actually took quite a bit of time to wait for (way longer than I thought). I actually really liked it but wish it included more than one piece of broccoli. As for the fried rice, it seems that everywhere in this part of Virginia has the same exact rice (very yellow, little veggies, never contains eggs). I'm obviously not a fan. As far as hole in the wall non-authentic Chinese food restaurants with the stock menus and China in the name, this place is okay. I wouldn't specifically recommend or dissuade someone from trying this restaurant. read more

It's been a long time since I had dinner at a Chinese takeout that had taste to it. Trust me, this was good. Even the leftovers were good.

WARNING!!!!! After months of going without Chinese food we decided to get some at China taste in Bedford VA on 5/15/20 Couldn't eat everything so had left overs. Today 5/16/20 I went to heat up my shrimp lo mein up and found a dead bug in it. I'm not on here to make things up it really happened. I have a picture and it's flat out disgusting that that even happened. Never will I eat there again and I hope you choose not to eat there. Food was horrible! read more

I have been searching for a good Chinese place around the area! China Taste did pretty good! I had the egg drop soup, which was super good! I also had some shrimp fried rice and beef lo mein. The shrimp fried rice was actually really plain, I kind of wish they would like sautéed the shrimp. But once I added some soy sauce it had some flavor. The beef lo mein was great! I also had a spring roll and I probably wouldn't get that again...it was really tasteless. The atmosphere was quiet, which is great for dinner! The service was also fast and they continually checked on us to refill drinks and such. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

This small, clean, comfortable restaurant is one of my favorites in town. The sisters who run it are friendly and appreciative of repeat customers. I travel, and when I return after several weeks they always greet me warmly and remember my favorites. Service is quick and food comes out piping hot. If you like spicy foods you have to ask for extra spicy as it appears most locals prefer their food fairly bland. The fried shrimp appetizer is very good with large shrimp, butterflied and coated with panko. Crisp and not greasy. Their combination meals are delicious and chock full of beef, pork, or shrimp as required for the dish. No small shrimp here. Lunch combos are generous and inexpensive. Have to say I'm overall disappointed after eating dinner here. Stopped in after reading the great posts on the way through town. I ordered some Beef Fried Rice and Mu Shu Pork. The food was quite bland lacking any of the flavor traditionally associated with either dish - think fried in oil...no seasoning. Fried Rice was a bit on the greasy side too. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and we can say maybe, maybe it's just these two dishes and the chef has a specialty which is fantastic. Perhaps we'll try again because, really, you can only eat so many sandwiches from Sheetz and no one really wants fast food. (Oh, my wife is saying that's just me). My favorite Chinese in Bedford! Love the minimal wait, they have never gotten an order wrong, and are always so kind.

Excellent food for the price. Shrimp with Lobster sauce and General Tso's Chicken are my favorites.

First time we've eaten here and came in for lunch on Sunday. They had a Steak and Shrimp special for under $10 that came with fried rice and an eggroll. Large pot of tea was included. Very friendly server and the food was good. We'll be back to try one of the plate specials. read more

Because of a Yelp review I thought that I would try this place. One entree was shrimp in garlic sauce, non spicy . It had a nice garlic brown sauce with vegetables and a good number of shrimp. It was very tasty . The other entree was Kung Pao chicken, spicy. It was good but I was disappointed that the vegetables were over cooked. Made me think that they were previously frozen. Instead of egg rolls they give you a crab Rangoon which was very good . I also had Hot and Sour soup which was not spicy and didn't have any roast pork or meat strips. I won't order that again. Once upon a time, China Taste left Bedford's "other" Chinese restaurant in the dust in terms of, well, everything. But over the last year or so, the disappointments are starting to outnumber the satisfieds. Today's "House Special Lo Mein" fiasco really solidified that feeling. $8.00 for a bland, clumpy mass of belly filler, lovelessly smashed together with all the forethought of a wet fart.
