Hey ya'll! Can't believe I haven't left a review yet. Been eating here for over two months. The food is phenomenal and taste so good. The portion size is exactly what I'm looking for and it's was fresh to me. The service when it packed for delivery is great. My favorite is the dinner special Bourbon Chicken and chicken fried rice. I've eating it over several occasions. I've tried there fried crab sticks, teriyaki chicken and now recently there General Tso's chicken and chicken fried rice. This place is a gem very close to NY Chinese food. I was greeted with friendly faces as I entered customer service is a plus. I got the lunch special chicken fried rice and wings which comes with a soup and drink. Food made fresh to order. I also tried the shrimp roll tons of flavor. One evening while working late, i wondered into China Taste and perused their typical and not so typical Chinese American Menu. I ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Curry Chicken Wings. The fried rice was horrible. It tasted and smelled like the rice was burned/scorched. I can't put into the awfulness of that fries rice. The Curry Chicken Wings were in a word Salty. I'm not sure because of my size and hair they thought I was a bison and decided to give me a bunch of Salt Licks. I mean really? Why so salty? Needless to say I didn't eat the food and I was too ticked off and frustrated to return those Culinary Crimes to the place of their origin. China Taste's tag line is "New York Style Take Out Restaurant". And as I stated I looked at their menu and thought I was in for a treat. I ordered from China Taste for the first time yesterday. I ordered special fried rice with extra ham and two egg rolls. The rice was just "blah". Rice with a couple of shrimp, small pieces of chicken soup he extra ham I paid and peas. The pork was shredded so I couldn't even til the quantity of that. It was alright but special is not. I want to like this place. Went twice and each time, the flavor of the Szechuan Sauce was SO GOOD! Vegetables were nice and crisp and I added extra spice which made it so nice. The biggest problem I have is the shrimp is mushy. It was mushy both times I ordered. The first time, I thought it was because I didn't eat it right away. It sat there in its container piping hot and so I thought it cooked itself more in its own heat and got mushy. They second time I ordered, I tasted it right away But it was still too mushy. Mushy to the point of being inedible. Mushy shrimp is awful! We tried to order again a third time but this time I asked them if they could give a little less cook time on the shrimp and she told me that they could not avoid making the shrimp mushy because of some ingredient that causes that to happen. So I didn't order. Maybe I will try again but with veggies only because who wants to pay for shrimp and not be able to eat it? I'm sure other dishes are good. read more

Located in the Pembroke Commons Plaza next to the Publix supermarket, China Taste is a small restaurant with a few tables for customers who would want to eat in. It offers take out, delivery, and catering. Upon entering, I was greeted by a female employee who took my order of shrimp lo mein lunch special which was served with chicken fried rice and a free can soda, 8-piece fried chicken, and a large house special fried rice. Since the total purchase was over $15, I was able to use their coupon to get a free egg roll. The female employee told me the food would be ready in 15 minutes. I was the only customer in the restaurant and I didn't feel like sitting around waiting, so I asked her if I could leave and come back to pick up the food and she said I could. So I decided to go to Speedway on Pembroke Pines and get some donuts. I took a little longer than 15 minutes to return, but when I walked through the door, the female employee had the food packed neatly in a box. On the counter there are packets of duck sauce, soy sauce, mustard, and hot sauce inside a storage bin; as well as plastic utensils and napkins. I thanked her and headed home. Once I got myself a bit comfortable, I served myself and my kids and sat in front of the TV to enjoy my dinner (I took the day off from cooking). The food was prepared nicely and it tasted fresh...meaning the food had no taste of salt in it, which is good for those who are watching their salt intake; but my youngest daughter, who loves herself some salty food, just had to add half a packet of soy sauce to her fried rice. The egg roll was hot & crispy on the outside, but the vegetables on the inside were too crunchy for me. Though I didn't get a taste of the fried chicken, my kids said it was good. I found this place to be just your average run of the mill Chinese restaurant. I went during lunchtime with my family. They had a very good deal going on. For about $6 you could get soda, an an entree, as well as rice. The portion sizes were generous too considering the price. I ordered Szechuan shrimp with plain fried rice. The shrimp was well seasoned and had the little kick that is to be expected with Szechuan flavored food. My only complaint was that there were more vegetables than shrimp in the dish. China Taste is my all time favorite Chinese take-out joint in the area. I've been ordering from several restaurants in the area and was disappointed with the food until I found China Taste. First off, the delivery is super fast! On a Friday night, me and my mother usually order around 5:45-6:00pm and get our delivery well before 6:30pm. That's a big plus for me because I hate waiting for my food longer than I have to. Secondly, the food is great. Some of their items are hits and misses, such as the sesame chicken- definitely not their best dish. But the crab rangoons and steamed dumplings are the deal! The dumplings are fresh and the sauce it comes with is great as well. Their won ton soup is one of my favorites, too. The broth is not too salty and the won tons are huge! I usually order the boneless ribs with white rice and it has to be the best Chinese take-out boneless ribs I've ever had. The white rice is sticky (just how I like it) & the ribs itself are chunky. Let me start off by saying. I am really upset this place is horrible. I don't know how this place has gotten some of these good reviews. This place deserves to be on Kitchen Nightmares. Im not sure that ill be ok after I write this,...and that is a feeling nobody should have after eating at a restaurant. Where do I start? ....First off the steamed rice,...looks like it was cooked in a pot with too much water?...how do you mess up steamed rice?...I mean dang get a rice cooker....it does everything for you....Second....The fried rice is embarassing, I don't know what's up with this rice, but it seems obvious that it was drenched in soy sauce??....Since when does fried rice come served brown?....Im used to seeing slightly yellowed like its been tossed in a wok with sesame oil,....i cant taste any sesame oil...it tastes like they took the over cooked rice and drenched it in Soy Sauce....with maybe some canola oil....who knows....Moving on. The Crab Rangoon at first taste has no filling in it, i mean dang did you just fry the wrapper?...it taste like a pig skin with no pig,...and oh yeah....no CRAB...its CRAB RANGOON....SO!.... i opened up the crab rangoon curious to try and excavate any sign of crab and lo and behold theres no fucking crab....or whatever is in it may have once been crab...and this is why im worried for my well being at this moment....What is this disgusting brown paste i found inside????? What the hell am I EATING?...take a look at these pictures and tell me if im loosing my cool...I have half the nerve to strike back down there and throw the food back into that quarantine box and demand my money back. We just moved to this area and we needed to check this place out, waaay to tired to cook today. The place looks clean, very small, not intimate because the 3 tables where you sit are flushed up at the entrance. As i walked in, i was greeted quickly, i had questions about a few things and the counter person was very helpful. I ordered a wrong item, and he just added the right one for free! No drama. The food came out fairly quickly in just a few minutes. It was take out so they put it in a medium size box with everything one would need, sauces, napkins, forks, cookies...etc, neatly inside. Food tasted good, the rice was ok but i ordered the Lemon Chicken, and my wife ordered the sweet/sour chicken. They were AMAZING!! Eggrolls were crispy but not much flavor. I am an eggroll-aholic, so i was a bit dissapointed. No less, i will be ordering again because thier menu is huge. Overall good experience, freindly and helpful staff, clean location. As far as Chinese takeout goes this place is pretty rockin. I personally judge Chinese food on the rice. If you mess up rice it's almost a given that you can mess up the rest of the food. The dining area is rather small with only a few tables but what it lacks in size it makes up in flavor. It's not too bland but not too salty. You can tell that the flavor comes from actual spice. There hasn't been a dish that I didn't like and their delivery time is reasonable. I wouldn't say that there is any one dish that they do that's over the top but I can guarantee that anything you you will taste fresh & delicious. read more

Terrible service I ordered online. Got a called saying that to have shrimp on the side it's $0.50 (for each item) -family has shrimp allergies. I say okay fine. Order arrives and the driver asks me for my card. Fine they need to check the number. He imprints the full card number and all of the details. When I ask why he simply says it what I'm told to do. Okay fine. I call the restaurant and they answer the same question the same way. It's what they do to prevent fraud. And then they say that it says it online. It does not say it online. When I go to look at my food the shrimp that they up charged me for is so small compared to what should come it's the food. I suggest if you order to order and pay with cash unless you don't mind then taking all of your card information on a hard copy with no protection. And that if your family has any shellfish allergies to order a dish that doesn't include it. I myself will not be ordering from here again. read more

I'm not sure why yelp doesn't recommend the negative feedback, since usually those are the most accurate. I moved to the area from south Miami, so my only option is to take other people's word. Getting home late last night, my boyfriend suggested we just order Chinese, but he was skeptical since we haven't found any good restaurants yet. China Taste is definitely not it. Coming from our regular place in Miami, Chef Chen, this place was just embarrassing. The portions were too small, the food tasted like rubber, and we were both sick all night with stomach aches. My daughter went to bed hungry, because she refused to eat any of it. They only get one star, since the staff was really nice, but the food was deplorable. We ordered the family a special. The wontons looked like they were filled with black tar instead of pork, egg rolls smelled like day old cabbage, we didn't even try the wonton soup. As previously stated by someone else, the rice was garbage. It was flavorless with pieces of chicken so small, they were like bacon bits. I honestly thought it was egg (which there was none of), until I ate a piece. My daughter loves fried chicken, but couldn't even eat one wing because it tasted funny she said. They used the same chicken for the sweet and sour as they did for general tso, all they did was slather sauce on the latter, and it wasn't even remotely spicy. Before I ordered, I asked what was in the gen tso, and they said broccoli. There were literally 3 pieces of overcooked broccoli, and pieces of chicken that were mostly breading. Not worth $26, since it was mostly fillers. Bottom line, I'll probably never go back, or my stomach will put a restraining order on me. If anyone knows any really good Chinese, please steer me towards it, because this was disappointing. read more

The experience was horrible. The delivery driver insisted that I give my credit card number and I didn't. Then he said it's company policy that he make a carbon scan of my card like the early 90's. I declined then he made a call and that person did t give him a good answer then he said let me call the restaurant. If he didn't call the restaurant the first time then who did he call. Sounds like a scam to me. I would not ever recommend give your card info to anyone delivering food especially if you gave it to them when you called and placed the order. I began going to this place back in 2017 with my mom because I had moved to the nearby area. The thing about this place IMO isn't just merely about the food production of affordable Asian cuisine. Of course I do commend them for their great food quality. the notable and unforgettable difference to me about this place is their exquisite customer service. they are very polite, very accommodating and grateful for your service. I had a period of cessation and hadn't been there in a while. Like 7 months passed and I returned back and they remembered me and my mom and inquired of her! They treated me like I had never left although I had expected them to forget. I will never forget that. for this reason whether I live nearby or farther from the arena.
