Inside, there are a lot of tables and in talking with my friends and the staff, it can get crazy busy, especially on weekends. But it wasn't too bad on a weekday early afternoon. We went for dim sum; they give you a menu with pictures and names, and a piece of paper to mark on what items you would like. Sometimes they'll names don't quite match but it's not too bad. They bring them from the kitchen when it's ready One tip for you: it's easy to over order, so you might order a smaller number of things and see how it goes, and order more later. Anyway, they have very many seafood and veggie dishes, which suits me just fine. And the waitress was making sure to point out what dishes had meat in them as she brought them to the table. That was very considerate. The price point for each item is on the high side, but the quantity is good. But of course it adds up in a hurry (another reason to see my tip about over ordering!) Hands down the best restaurant for dim sum specifically in the Pembroke Pines area. China Pavilion is located in a pretty chill shopping center not too far from Pembroke Lakes mall. The restaurant feels very authentic to how Chinese restaurants are, the restaurant has a fish tank at the entrance which is very on brand and over all it's a pretty casual space. The food is really good and there are so many items on the menu, that I definitely recommend coming with a few people so you can try all the things you want without it being way too much food. There are a few waiters/waitresses and they all attentive. Even though one person takes the order, the other servers may bring your food, get you another drink, or clear things off of your table. I have been going to this place for over 15 years and today I was so disappointed by the portion size of a fried bean curd skin shrimp roll. Whenever I have purchased this at other places they at least give you two whole "loaves" sometimes three as a portion. When I opened up my order there was exactly 1 1/2 loaves cut into three for $6.50. You know it's authentic and good when it's always packed and you walk in seeing many 10 top round tables with the iconic lazy susans and a wall of fish tanks by the front entrance! We had a group of 12 for dim sum and we were accommodated fairly quickly. Dim sum was fresh and quickly served and reasonably priced. We were a large group of about 15 people. China Pavillion was extremely busy during lunch time around 1:30 pm. We waited a bit for the entire group/party to arrive then staff seated us right away. First time trying Dim Sum. They have a hugh variety menu of authentic Cantonese dishes. Our server seemed friendly and we had someone from our group that spoke Cantonese great to see them interact. We ordered so much food and shared family style. All the dishes were delicious. I enjoyed the sticky rice, pork bao buns, baked BBQ pork buns, chicken feet, tripe, stuffed egg plant , Duck &Roast pork rice roll. I enjoyed each dish but wish the server had brought us water or offered water to everyone at the table. They served tea but not everyone drinks tea. My first review of 2026! I made the drive up here with foodie friends from Miami to enjoy New Year's weekend dim sum. (Huge shoutout to A for setting up this yummy UYE!) the restaurant is located in office plaza right on Pines Boulevard and there's a good amount of parking. Some items had run out, and we did have to "help" in clearing some of the plates but all in all still very good. For those of us like me - my first dim sum experience - you typically order off of either a picture or written menu. Roughly translated to "light snacks", the server brings out baskets of the different buns and serve them family style in the center of the table. Besides dim sum, they also serve "full size" Chinese dishes such as the orange chicken I also enjoyed & shared, as well as fried rices. We've eaten in the restaurant in the past with friends and the food and service was good. Yesterday, Saturday the 18th of June, we ordered take out, $71.00 worth of Beef with broccoli, Beef with Mushrooms, and Noodles with Shrimp. The Beef was uneatable. It was possibly made of rubber and no matter how much you chewed on it, the meat would not breakdown. It had tendons in it, and you would have to spit it out. They open ON TIME, not a minute before. I waited outside for it to open and was the first customer. The second customer came in literally a minute later. Flavors are good. This was above what I expected for Florida. The hot and sour soup portion was a lot smaller than what I am used to getting in New York for the same price, but it was delicious. Everything else we got was pretty good. For example, the spareribs were on the not as flavorful side than what I'm used to, but it was still good. The flat noodles were a little bit thick and so is the steam rice rolls. I think they need to use a thinner batter as the thicker rice soaks up all the sauce and makes everything more bland. The fried shrimp rolls were amazing and were full of shrimp, if there were fillers, I could not tell. So generally, everything is less salty lower in sugar in this restaurant. If anything I believe this place is healthier than what I'm used to. The place is old though. Price vs portion is on par with NY, if anything I felt like the dishes were actually more expensive here because of the smaller portion size. The guy not in uniform, probably owner or manager was literally the friendliest most hard-working guy. This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in Broward County. Our immediate family and Chinese relatives have been going to this eatery for years (and some of them are chefs). Personally, I'm not a fan of carts so to have an extensive menu of not only dim sum but their dinner menu and even Chifa, it will take you years to go through all of the options! I can't say I've had anything yet that I really didn't like.
