Wow I pass this place at least 10x a week and always wondered if it was a legit massage place or shady type. I kinda don't want to do this review as it's not too busy now lol it will be after this review tho. So I called and got an appointment right away. I got Katy. She's a petite Chinese lady but knows how to do Thai massage and deep tissue. Don't let her size fool you cuz she's very strong. I only had time for an hour massage and wish I had time for 90min or more cuz she's that good. She also did hot stone at no extra charge. They have cupping available for $30 extra. What a rip off. Scheduled a 1 hour massage for both my husband and son for $70 each. They left 35 mins later paying $350. How can you relax when the minute they get you on the table they continously try to upsell you. I was trying to do something nice for my family and they completely ruined it. My friend and I went to China Thai Massage. The friend asked for Tradional Thai massage and the therapist didn't understand her, so she settled for a massage for 60 minutes. After the massage, the owner came in to do cupping which was painful so my friend asked her to stop and the owner kept insisting on doing it a couple more times. My friend said "No". During the cupping session my friend started to get hives due to oil being applied on her skin. Overall my friend didn't like the whole experience and never wanted to return to this place. Another complaint was that this place was NOISY since the owner and another therapist (?) in the front were carrying a conversation while patrons having their massages. If you don't mind the noise and that the therapists get pushy in getting the patrons to buy additional services like body scrub, cupping, etc. then this place is for you. I worked late and was feeling extreme muscle tension that was making it hard to breathe. Called many places that were either closing or booked. I browsed for cupping and cakme across China Thai. I called desperately and Lisa took me last minute and was very gracious of my "being stuck in traffic" heading to Waikiki. Parking was accessible and off the street which was appreciated. She did tell me over the phone its Cash Only and gave me the amount to bring which I appreciated. The place was clean and very Zen. Lisa identified all my tensions and affected areas and applied pressure just as i liked it and listened to my requests. She did a Thai Combination with traditional Cupping. She is very skilled and accurate, has strong soft hands and was really just great at what she does. She went over the time because she didnt want to not complete but took longer as i was really needing it for no extra charge. I left there with instructions on "what not to do" (never was told in my numerous cupping sessions elsewhere and never researched) so yeah!! I've had pretty good experiences with some Chinese massage places in the past, so I didn't hesitate to come here, especially because my feet and body were just killing me! Well....let's just say that I highly, highly regret it. The lady on the phone suggested that my husband and I choose the massage that would touch upon our necks, backs, legs, and feet (as opposed to just a foot massage) for $120 for the both of us. Okay, we're game. Decent price for two for 50 minutes (certainly a lot cheaper than at a hotel). I also did want to say that I am currently pregnant; although I didn't mention it on our phone call, I let the message therapist know and she said it was perfectly fine. Pros: - The massage therapist asked me about the pressure; I told her I wanted it harder, and she adjusted accordingly Cons: - The pro that I just mentioned...well, she had stronger pressure for approx. 10 minute before reverting back to REALLY, REALLY minuscule pressure the rest of the time - It seemed as if she only knew how to massage a couple of places; she worked on my knots on my upper shoulders. And then on other parts of my body, she was literally doing the same thing over and over and over and over again - When she got to my foot/leg massage... oh man. Where do I even start. I could tell when she was using one hand vs two. There was one moment where I somehow thought that she was on the phone while massaging me (she was massaging me in one place, over and over and over and over again, with no pressure...see a pattern here?). Well, it was only minutes after that when there was a vibration on my table right where she was so I was right - she WAS on her phone, and she had the audacity to place the phone on the table and received a text/whatever it was during. Her two hands suddenly changed to the one hand/same maneuver again as she obviously picked up the phone - She massaged my right foot for a decent amount of time. When she got to my left foot, however, she barely touched it. As in, 5 minutes of foot massage and (I'm not exaggerating) she rubbed my left calves up and down (with no pressure, mind you) close to 75 times. SEVENTY FIVE TIMES. No one needs their calves rubbed that many times, especially when there was NO PRESSURE - During my initial call with the boss(?), she told me that we needed to pay in cash. I told her that I didn't have that much cash on me. She then said "Okay, credit is okay for the $120. However, the tip must be in cash" to which I responded that that was perfectly fine. Well, when we went to pay, the two massage therapists were the ones to collect the money. I told them that we didn't have $120 in cash, but they couldn't understand English that well. By far the best massage I have ever had. I got a one hour massage and also asked for cupping. Even though they close at 9:30 PM, they took me in at 8:45 PM and completed the one hour massage and cupping meeting. I was there past closing time. I really appreciated them taking me at that time anyway. My massage included traditional pressure as well as deep pressure, the masseuse standing on my back and walking around, as well as Thai stretching, and then I paid for cupping ($30). Went in with my boyfriend for two individual 60-minute massages. The massages were good despite the fact that we both got completely different treatments that we didn't request. But we went from giving China Thai a 4 to 5 star rating to nearly zero stars when the women who treated us were so aggressive about tipping! Being from NY and in the service industry- we were ready to tip over the recommended 15%. But my massage therapist literally reached into my wallet as I had it out, after tipping $15 each, and took an additional $20 as she rambled something. We went to relaxed to very tense in an instant. It's not worth calling the police and wasting their time over $20 but it was basically robbery. I visited China Thai massage for a 60 mins massage and cupping combo. The massage from Gina was great! However, I feel like I got overcharged/swindled by Lisa (who I believe is the owner). I went in and looked at a brochure on the front table that said 60 mins massage/cupping was $80. Lisa rushed me to a room and made me wait for 10 mins maybe more only to have someone else come in (Gina who have me a great massage). But she didn't know how to cup. Lisa came back at the end and spent less than 5 mins massaging/scanning my body to know where to place the cups and administered the cupping. And she did not wipe the oil off my back at the end. When I went to pay after she had scanned my card the price read $94 and I couldn't find the brochure I read on the desk when I arrived and she told me suddenly that the price had changed. I had a great massage from Gina. But I definitely felt like Lisa scammed me and did a very rushed job on the cupping and didn't even bother to take the oil Off my back or massage me a bit when I was done, which has never happened to me before. read more

Went there a few days ago wanting to get a massage cause I had so much tension in my neck and shoulders. My therapist spoke very little english, every time she would ask if I'm ok, I would reply with what I wanted more done or telling her it was too hard. She just kept going like I never said anything. That's when I figured she didn't understand me because she couldn't understand english. When she was massaging my neck her nails kept scratching me. Also while massaging me she kept burping. I wasn't relaxed at all I felt so disturbed, my neck and shoulders still felt the same when I left. I was so disappointed. My therapist kept going out of the room the get things she needed. I felt so uncomfortable there with my body being on the table and her opening door and not saying anything. I have to say was my worst massage place that I have been to. I do not normally write bad reviews but unless you speak up, they will never fix their problems in the future. Where do I start? They only take cash (even though it says they take credit card at the door) but they don't inform you of this till you've already agree to treatment. I go to a lot of massages, and I've never experienced one like this. The technician left without saying anything mid treatment for 5 minutes. Then she proceeded to have a loud conversation with another employee in the next room, sometimes shouting. But the worse part was when I checked out and gave her a tip. She actually looked at the tip in her hand to see how much I gave and pointed at a sign that read: Tips appreciated, suggested 20%!!!! First off the massage was a bad experience. The girl really tried, she really did, but when I started to feel her nails, that was not good. Im a Surfer and Yogi, I get tight in my back and shoulders. I found this new massage spa on Ena rd. while driving to my favorite surf spot. The place is small and clean with 5 or 6 private rooms. My therapist was Lisa who is also the owner. She is in one word... AWESOME! She found all of the sore spots and quickly got rid of them. I left feeling so relaxed. I could slightly see from under the towel that was placed over my eyes and noticed a faint light ... she was using her phone while performing the massage. I figured it would be momentarily but she continued and would switch hands. Poor service - when asked to leave a tip when I was leaving - I explained to the woman at the front desk the displeasure / unsatisfactory professionalism and she just said oh, and patted me on the back as I walked out...
