Hands down best Chinese takeout place in Pittsburgh. For reference I grew up in Pittsburgh with a family that would order takeout often and this was and still is the best place we've been to. I've only been here a couple times for takeout and honestly always forget it's there. I stopped in yesterday after Easter shopping and realized they had pad Thai. Usually I drive to south side or Oakland for good Thai food but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was and cheap only $10. Pad Thai typically ranges around $15. I took a menu home to try some more options but I definitely see it as the best Chinese takeouts in a 5 mile radius just based on 3 visits. Definitely better than Wangs. Not only that my food was the perfect spiciness that I hoped and was done in less than 10 mins - faster than fast food. I'll be back many times - efficient service and delicious food! Great Chinese spot in Brentwood Town Square. The place is very clean and bright inside. They have a lot of different options to choose from. I had the general tsos chicken. The chicken was crispy even after my drive home. Sometimes Chinese food ends up soggy, but this held up well. The chicken was not overly sauced either. The flavor of the sauce was some of the best general tsos I've ever had. Will definitely be back. read more

Got takeout here the other day. Everything was nice and hot when I got home. I had the general tsos and vegetable lo mein. It was enough to feed both my husband & I and only cost about $12! The general Tsos came with broccoli and white rice. Great deal! My issue was the general tsos was VERY crispy. I like a little crisp because who likes soggy chicken, but it was sooo crunchy and pretty much just breading. The sauce was spicy which I did really enjoy! So beware if you do not like spicy. The vegetable lo mein was very wet/slimy. It tasted like soy sauce was just dumped on top. Overall I think this place could be really great but my takeout meal was not the best around. read more

just ordered food tonight and it was terrible.Ordered teriyaki chicken it was burnt ; way over cooked ; hard like jerky, dry you could not pull it off the wooden skewer. no juice in the chicken . no teriyaki sauce. ordered shrimp with mixed vegetables. vegetables were hard. Very nice people. Prices are very reasonable. Everything is and what you should expect from a take out place like this. I especially like, and not being sarcastic, the precautions they have taken for covid. I am very comfortable getting food from this establishment. Plexi-glass everywhere. Makes me feel like I am at a bank drive through. I will order from here without hesitation again and again. I have ordered a number of different meals from this place since they have been opened and have not been disappointed. My favorite is their Szechuan chicken. Best Chinese food we've had in the area. I live in South Park and my wife and I are always looking for Chinese food that is better than average and worth the recent increase in cost. China Wok is it for us! My wife always gets boneless spare ribs and theirs were large cuts of pork cooked with a good mix of firm and tender, easily twice as large as other Chinese food restaurants. I usually go for general tso's and while I wasn't blown away, it was as good as anywhere else but didn't taste generic. The fried rice had good flavor and bean sprouts which aren't as common. Lastly, the pork lo Mein was full of flavor, wasn't greasy and had large strips of meat. We will for sure come back and try other dishes and hopefully have a comparable experience. read more

Brentwood needed a GOOD Chinese food restaurant. China Wok moved in and was having a Grand Opening so we gave it a try. There are 3 or 4 small tables to sit at and eat. I ordered food for take out. My food was made hot and fresh and packed nicely for travel. I ordered the Sesame Chicken. They make theirs with a lot of heat. I asked for little to no heat. It had a smidge of heat and it was good. The chicken was cut into smaller pieces but it actually made it easier to eat. There was a very small amount of breading but not enough that it was heavy or clunky. Their portion size was I keeping with other restaurants. It was served with fried rice which had some bean sprouts and bits of pork in it. The sprouts were a nice little crunch and the pork added a little flavor to the rice. An egg roll came with my meal. It was on the smaller side but like the chicken it made it easier to eat. The egg roll was cooked perfectly and had a crispy outside and the insides were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

Absolutely pathetic. I get that this place has cheaper prices, but the ingredients are trash. The chicken isn't even real, its processed and slimy and is like biting through rubber. The rice tastes like they just poured it out of the friggin bag and there was no seasoning AT ALL on anything that touched a wok. For $16 i could have walked to the giant eagle next door, made better Chinese food and saved four dollars. Bland color and bland taste. If you like eating plastic then order food here and shove a chopstick in your eye so the pain distracts you from this god awful food. read more

Love China Wok! Consistently good takeout food whenever we get it. The food is always done in a reasonable amount of time, and the size of the food you are getting is more than worth the price. Its located near the Brentwood towne square so even if you cant street park to pick up, you can park in the square and walk up a short set of stairs to pick up your food. read more

Paid $10 for a general tsos combo and it was certainly not worth it the egg roll was very small and every single piece of chicken i ate was crunchy, almost as if there's no chicken and it's just fried breading. there wasn't even a single piece that was bigger than my thumb- it's all scraps. Great place to go in Brentwood Town Square. The menu has lots of options and the prices are great. The food comes out of the kitchen fast and the employee service is wonderful. I had the general tso combo. The food was all hot and the outside of the chicken was crispy but not over cooked or over sauced. The egg rolls are crispy on the outside and the filling is delicious. The rice was a little undercooked and the ham in it wasn't very good and tasted like it was from a can. Other than that the food was good. You also get a free two liter with a purchase is $25 or more. Definitely would recommend it and go there again. read more

I am stopping there again after work. I love this place. The shrimp egg fu young is fantastic and they give you a large serving. Also the price good and choices great. He was pleasantly surprised because we did not think they delivered, so he got it delivered a few times.. I was willing to giving them another chance, so we called to place a delivery order last night and the man said they don't deliver. They make really good tofu dishes... way better than Wang's Kitchen, since the tofu here is fried, not breaded. They seem to be OK with substituting tofu for meat in most dishes. They also gave us the cutest little bonus calendar last time my husband and I ordered. read more

We tried this place when it first opened, I ordered the genreal tso's and he ordered their pineapple chicken with egg rolls. The general tso's was very bland and generic, tasted like the sauce you would buy in a plastic jar. The egg rolls also tasted frozen, rather than homemade...He enjoyed his pineapple chicken very much though, chicken was cooked well and had good flavor. They were relatively quick and very cheap. I'd sooner go back to eating at Wang's Kitchen than order from here again simply because their food has a more authentic flavor. read more
