First and foremost, the food is DELICIOUS. Fresh vegetables & mushrooms, delicious sauce, expertly prepared. You also get quite a bit of food and the price is very reasonable. I had cashew chicken combo that came with chicken, veggies & cashew's and a nice sized portion of rice and an egg roll. Drinks are bottle or can from a cooler. The dining room is no longer open so it is take out only. However, be prepared to wait. If they tell you 15 minutes, seriously, it will be 30. Just know it ahead of time to avoid waiting. I've actually only ordered the bbq boneless sparerib, twice now. pretty good, especially when you compare it to most other Chinese spots. They are nice and meaty, and not over cooked. So many other chinese restaurants serve thin sliced pork that don't hold a lot of the meat flavor, like eating watercress. Either that or they are chucks and way over cooked. I'm not from PA but if in town again wouldn't hesitate to order again. read more

I'm sorry to have to post this, because this intrepid little restaurant has been in business for a long time. My parents used to come all the way to Canonsburg from Bridgeville because they liked the hot and sour soup. I've tried it twice, and give it 2 nopes up. Lemon Chicken was dry even after it was drenched in the sugary lemon sauce and was more breading than meat. Seafood Delight consisted of a lot of cheap, mealy Surimi, scallops that were undoubtedly white fish cut into circles, plenty of shrimp (hurray for that!) and at the bottom of the container a hunk of what might have been lobster. The General Tso's, the only Chinese food my husband enjoys, was more breading than meat. Update: can't really blame the meal, but i was violently ill 24 hours after that meal. Threw away the leftovers. read more

I love me some classic American Chinese food. You know what I mean, greasy and sweet and fried and just all around delicious. Panda Chinese Kitchen is a talented purveyor of this lauded cuisine. There are a few mainstays I always stick to when getting their takeout. General Tso's Chicken which is of course tangy/sweet, boneless BBQ spareribs that are almost never dry and wonton soup. Egg rolls too, but they can be a bit mushy on occasion. Their broccoli in brown sauce is also solid. All in all, this place is cheap and fast and hardly a letdown. I will certainly keep going back and can confidently recommend. read more

This restaurant has been in business a very long time. The same family has owned it and worked hard long hours to stay open. Their wonton soup is very flavorful, the fried rice is perfect and not too greasy, the portions are generous for the price. If I wanted Chinese locally, this is my first choice. read more

Ohhhh, I feel so sorry for the owners. The food was bad even by Pittsburgh low standards. The ingredients were not fresh!!! The peanuts in my dish were very dark brown. I shudder to think how long they have been sitting around! I understand how hard it is to make good food under these COVID difficulties but giving up has to be a better alternative! I agree with Bethany who said the lady at the counter is very unfriendly. My guess is that she is an owner and her husband does the cooking. They could have cared less if we were there. We ate there for the first (and last) time this week while on vacation in the area. The restaurant is very dirty and the lady's restroom was appalling. No toilet paper and the wastebasket had unwrapped feminine products in it. We wouldn't even touch the soy sauce, napkin holder (which had a hair on the top) or the salt and pepper shakers. You could tell the whole place had not been cleaned in a long time. We ordered two cokes and they were brought in bottles. We had to ask for glasses and ice. We were brought two very small Styrofoam cups with ice. I definitely would not suggest this place for take-out or dining. If the restaurant and restroom are this dirty, you can only imagine what the kitchen which is out of sight looks like. The food was edible but that was about it. read more
