Place was great! So delicious, such a huge menu with lots of options. And portions are really big. Definitely a place I will be coming back to!

We had a reservation for Christmas Day at 7pm. It was absolutely packed inside so a reservation was necessary for that day. We were seated and someone took our order fairly quickly. We waited and waited and at 8:23pm when I saw that a table that was seated after us already got their food, I finally spoke up. It turns out the person who took our order was new and never put it in. They gave each person a canned Coke for the inconvenience. If you got, I would maybe check in on your food a half hour after putting it in because once they made sure our food orders were in, all the dishes came out very very quickly. The food itself was absolutely delicious when we finally got it. Everything was really flavorful and we had plenty of leftovers to take home.

Beyond friendly and accommodating staff! We love to stop in here after a day of shopping near Ross park mall! Food is good! Bubble tea is good! It's a family favorite of ours!

Overall 3.5/5! The chicken was extremely sweet for some reason which I didn't love, and the fish maw was slightly bland. Otherwise, the food and service were great. Large space suited for families. Solid but would probably pass on the chicken next time.

Chengdu Gourmet will always be one of my favorites. They offer the perfect variety of traditional Chinese and American Chinese dishes, and even the pickiest eaters will find something they love. In a large party, your food will be served to you on a large lazy Susan, making it easy for your entire party to share. We tried a bit of everything, and not a single thing disappointed. Our favorites were the Mao's Pork Belly, the Spicy Chicken, and the Szechuan dumplings (not pictured). There are menu items for all levels of spice tolerance, and you will leave with plenty of leftovers as the portions are very generous. We will be back again and again!

Fantastic spot for OG Chinese food. They're located just 10 minutes from the city within the north hills area (Ross township). Not only do they have a large menu of traditional Chinese food, there's a second (also large) menu of Chinese / American entrees. We ordered from both since it was our first time here. The restaurant ambiance is cozy and has many tables suited for large groups (with a Lazy Susan!) The staff is so kind and was helpful in narrowing down our entree choices.

Fantastic. We ordered takeout, and the online ordering experience was very easy. As has been our experience in the past, the order was well packaged to survive the drive home. Unsurprisingly, the food was excellent. The Sichuan pickle makes for a nice crisp and flavorful accent. It was easy to order the mapo tofu in a vegetarian format, and the dish still had plenty of flavor. The various stir fried vegetables were delicious, with a wide variety of textures and flavors that all presented a nice crisp freshness paired with just the right amount of seasoning. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were bold. All told, this was a great experience.

Was looking for a flavorful yet light, shareable plate for dinner. This place was great for just that. Service was quick and the staff was kind and answered all questions my family had. My favorite on the table was the pickled veggies and the beef casserole. The beer flavored duck was mostly bone, but it was still flavorful. We tried only the traditional Chinese, so next time we will be trying the American-style Chinese just because it looked good on other party's tables. Also, the TV was playing Cesar Millan's dog whisperer which was a great addition to the chill, family-style ambiance.

This place just popped on my radar when I heard that the chef is a James Beard award finalist. Being that it was the Lunar New Year, it was a perfect time to check it out. The outside might look a bit run down, but the food is outstanding. They have a traditional Chinese menu and an American Chinese menu. The traditional menu has pictures to help see what's in the dish. We did a mix from both menus. From the traditional menu we had the Sichuan dumpling in red chili oil...do not miss this dish, it was our favorite! And I had the Sichuan cold noodle bowl. It had the right amount of spice mixed with peanut flavor. It was a simple dish but delicious. And they give you a huge portion for a very reasonable price. From the American Chinese menu my husband has the chicken egg roll and the General tso's. The chicken wasn't super crispy but the flavor on the general tso sauce was perfection. We also share a cup of the hot and sour soup, which has a pretty good kick! They have a decent amount of seating but a large portion of that is made up of 4 or 5 tables that seat probably 8 people. Those tables all had a lazy Susan in the center so that you could share dishes. We thought that was pretty cool. The other section is a mix of 2 and 4 person tables. It was about half full when we got there but it filled up while we were eating. When we left, there was a line at the front waiting to be seated. We really enjoyed our experience here and can see why the chef is up for such a prestigious award. Again, if you go, don't skip out on the dumplings!

The drinks were a little underwhelming, the cocktails were okay, but the Chinese liquors were really nice to sip on while eating and had interesting flavors! The food was also quite solid- would recommend the Singapore style noodles which had good flavor and a fairly large portion size as well. Taro dumplings were also a standout, but everything else was fairly good. We opted to sit outside because the dining room was incredibly loud. Service was good, and our waitress was attentive, especially considering how busy they were. We ordered an appetizer special and a lobster noodle entrée to share between two people. Unfortunately, the food was probably the most disappointing part of the experience. Nothing was necessarily bad, but everything seemed to be lacking flavor. The ginger sauce on the entrée had actual chunks of ginger in it, but somehow didn't taste like the ginger had really infused into the sauce. It just felt flat. The lobster was fried in the shell, which made it difficult to share, and it was also overcooked. Our appetizer actually came out after the entrée and had a similar issue. The chili sauce was fine, but it didn't have much of the heat or depth of flavor we were expecting. Prices seemed pretty average for this type of restaurant in the area, and the service was certainly solid. Ultimately, though, the food just wasn't memorable enough for us to recommend it or make us want to return.
