My husband & I and 2 sons had lunch here to celebrate a birthday. We were seated immediately & our drink order was taken while we headed to the buffet. There were a lot of offerings on the buffet - something to please everyone. Hubby doesn't care much for Asian food & even he found plenty of things to eat, i.e. mac n cheese, salmon, bbq chicken, green beans, buffalo wings, garlic bread, sweet donuts & more. I am sad to have to downgrade the rating, but I have to be honest. The bloom has been off the rose for quite some time now with respect to the buffet. It did start out great, but they pretty quickly pulled some of the best items. They replaced egg tarts with....slices of garlic bread?? There are too many non-Chinese items, and the rest never vary. Exact same stuff every day. One offering is pork with mushrooms which is about 90 percent mushrooms in the gravy. It is rarely replenished as it looks full, but there is no meat left. And there's never an actual wonton in the wonton soup, just sad shredded pieces of the dough. You can eat your fill of course on eggrolls, crabless Rangoons, Chinese donuts etc., all of which are great but not exactly a balanced diet. Now the staff here continue to be the nicest, sweetest folks you could hope for. On menu items, they do a fine job on Mongolian Beef and the Egg Foo Young is pretty consistent. You definitely want to go during peak busy times to get fresh food.. I notice they don't put out as much fresh food when there are only a few patrons. The buffet is small, but when it's hot and fresh-it's good! I do wish that they had some more variety on the buffet or occasionally switched it up! For example Coconut Chicken and Shrimp would be wonderful to see on the buffet! Also orange chicken is a favorite that would be wonderful to see! I notice that here they often pick up the bill to see how much you've tipped before you leave-which is sorta out of the norm. It's casual inside, and a nice place to take the family. We eat there at least once a month. We always order take out and the food has always be fantastic. Every now and then we eat the buffet and we always get great service I can honestly say every take out order we have had there has always been accurate. And a generous amount in the servings. This was my second attempt with this place. The first time I ordered takeout it was terrible and tasted like dirty water. Today I decided to give them another try, there will never be a third visit from me. All of the chicken was soggy and covered with juice like they were trying to keep it warm or something. I'm a fan. Clean, friendly and a wide selection of dishes for pretty much every taste; not all of it Chinese style. One thing I *will* stress is that you should hit them up during peak hours. During the slow hours, the food doesn't move fast enough to ensure that it's going to be fresh. It's more than just a buffet, however. All you can eat Chinese buffet with Chinese American food on the line. This is one of my favorite places to eat in eaton. The food is what you expect from such a place-traditional americanized Chinese food with things like egg rolls, General Tso's chicken, happy family, etc.. It Is not authentic Chinese cuisine, no dim sum, for instance but if it were it would not sell well in a small rural town such as Eaton. They know their audience and cater to them. They do use fresh food and they do a decent job of preparing it The service is really good and the wait staff is usually quite delightful. They also have a way cool crawdad tank by the front door that is not to be missed. read more

China Wok is okay. However, eating the buffet is like the scene in National Lampoons Vegas Vacation where Clark & Cousin Eddie go to the low budget casino. Mystery glop. There are a few recognizable "American Chinese" dishes on the buffet, but mostly interesting, strange combinations that your Aunt Ethel would whip up after getting a recipe from the quilting group. I think this is how Jello salad was invented... I mean who decided a fruity swet geletain dessert should be mixed with shredded carrots anyway? But I digress. Steer very clear of the buffet. Order from the menu and you'll be fine. Otherwise, you'll be dining on things like oysters on the half shell broiled with a layer of melted cheddar cheese on top, or... pizza for the kids! I realize they have stayed in business by offering food that meets the highly sophisticated palate of Preble County, Ohio. But that's where we run into things like Franken buffet... where quantity trumps quality, especially when the first of the month rolls around and mom an em get their check and are ready for a wild time on the town. read more

Not very fresh tasting or good. It's hard to find good Asian foods in this area. Oxford had a good place that did Thai and Chinese, but I think they are closed now. I was not impressed with the selection here or the foods. They just taste bland and cheap. Nothing bright or fresh tasting. read more

Over the past 9 years we've been to many Chinese restaurants throughout the region (Eaton, Richmond, Dayton, Vandalia, Rising Sun, Fairborn, Miamisburg, etc.). This is one of our favorites, especially since they expanded the buffet a few years ago. The food selection on the buffet is extensive and almost everything is incredibly good. The wait staff is always very nice, and the owner, Jenny, is usually at the register and is always very friendly to us and keeps trying to teach us various Chinese words. Our favorite dishes are the Wonton Soup, General Tso's Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli. When not ordering the buffet we'll often get these three things for take-out; even better, the portion sizes are large enough that we'll usually get 3 or 4 meals out of it! One minor complaint is that, when ordering wonton soup off the menu for dine-in, the "pint" and "quart" sizes really mean "small" and "large" bowls (as opposed to a pint being 16 oz and a quart being 32 oz). The amount of soup they give when you order a "quart" is really only about a pint's worth of soup (though they still charge you the price you would pay for the actual 32oz quart you get if you order it to-go). Also, the taste of the takeout is unfortunately not always consistent. Some days everything is wonderful, but other days the wonton soup is a bit watery and the fried rice is a bit bland. I think it really depends on what chef is in the kitchen on any given day. Monday-Tuesday usually seems to be good, Wednesdays are hit-or-miss, and Thursday-Friday often seems to be not the greatest. (Though we really do don't there often enough to say for certain that it's like this every week.) read more

Great selection of food as this is a buffet. They offer quite a variety. The staff are pleasant and normally very attentive. The downfall are the desserts that are offered, they are obviously not homemade and probably frozen. Sometimes the meats that are offered are a bit dry, but the fried rice is excellent as well as the chicken and vegetables. It would be nice if there were a bit more sauce in these dishes that you want to put over top of your rice, The bacon wrapped chicken is awesome ( who doesn't like bacon). Though I don't have small children they do offer alternatives to the Chinese menu such as pizza and mac-n-cheese for the kiddies. The price is very reasonable for a all you can eat, it always seems clean and they do a very good job of keeping the buffet well stocked. read more

This place used to be great. The look of the place has improved, but the food has taken a drastic dive ever since the owner stopped cooking solo. Around the time the buffet went in they hired help in the kitchen and it was never the same. Our last visit will likely be our last. We love the owners but the entire buffet was room temperature and not very tasty. Very disappointed. At the time they launched I would have given this place 4 stars, now it is a 2 star place to be avoided. I would advise a trip to Englewood and pick the new spot by Kroger. read more

This is pretty good :) There's quite a few cheaper things you can get here which is nice, love the soups! Though the take out price for the buffet is horrible! I understand they don't want people abusing it and filling up a HUGE container getting way more than they paid for but come on, the take out container they give you is TINY and it's $7+ for it! I could barely fit anything in that box and had to ask for a small bowl for sauce which they acted shady over giving me because they were so worried I would put soup in it....well I would then suggest you get some sauce cups people can use to put some sauce in. I just think it is way to expensive to get the buffet there, maybe if you eat A LOT of food it's cool but for someone like me who can barely even finish one plate of food it's way to expensive! My son LOVES eating here but he barely eats anything mostly just wants to eat the ice cream, and I eat barely one plate and take one drink of soda and I'm full. Some buffets will let you take home anything that is left on your plate as long as you don't get any more, but I really don't like the fact that it costs me so much to eat here and I get no leftovers to take home for later. If I'm going to spend $20 to go out to eat I want to be able to take my leftovers home with me as I eat them for supper or lunch the next day. Takeout food is great, food is great, I just think the buffet is way to expensive for the tiny box they give you and it sucks you don't get to take anything home that you didn't finish. If you're going to offer buffet take out for $7+ then at least give us one of those nice boxes that has the different compartments in it so we can get a decent meal out of it instead of a box so small it looks like it can only fit a hot dog in it. read more
