I've been living in the area for 30 years, but this was my first time trying China Wong, which was on a weeknight for carryout for dinner. The lady working there was very helpful and friendly. The guys in the kitchen were quick to make what I ordered and everything look clean and orderly in the kitchen. Their menu is the typical American-Chinese fare, nothing special and hardly authentic. The items I tried: * Egg Drop Soup - This was decent, but slightly on the bland side. Hardly the flavor of sesame oil and a thick texture from slightly too much corn starch. * Beef Lo Mein - Really good! Made with fresh veggies and a very nice, tender beef. Everything came together nicely and tasted pretty good. * Chicken & Broccoli - Made with fresh broccoli and carrots. The chicken was flavorful and velveted nicely. Sauce was flavorful too. * Chicken Egg Foo Young - This was as good as it should be! Freshly made and the flavors are just what I crave when I seek out this dish. They make their own chili oil sauce here too, which is nice. It had a decent flavor to it. Overall, I'd definitely come back to get carryout here again, this experience was pretty good! read more

I ordered the Crab Rangoon's , Moo Shu Pork and the Pork Chow Mien/Fried Rice combo that came with a giant Egg roll . This all came to $33 which seemed a little high but it smelled great and when she handed me the paper bag with everything it was HEAVY . So that told me there was probably a lot of good stuff inside. . When I got home and opened the bag and started opening my containers so I couldn't believe it. Everything was absolutely perfect. This food was beautiful and smelled phenomenal. The Moo Shu smelled amazing and it was sitting in a nice sauce. There were nice size chunks of pork all throughout. and the vegetables were delish with it . The chow mien was loaded with nice size chunks of pork and mushrooms, and all the good stuff you want and I mean loaded . The fried rice was loaded up as well. And everything had a beautiful color. This was top-tier Chinese in my humble opinion. And although it was a bit on the pricey side they gave quality and load u up . I highly recommend China Wong . read more

The best Chinese food around! The food is flavorful and fresh. Ordered orange chicken and it had orange zest in it. Singapore noodles were perfectly spiced. Since they don't do delivery apps and we live outside their delivery zone, I have to pickup. But it's worth it to get Chinese food that tastes like the comfort food I remember as a kid. The wife and I have always used fredericksburg va, as our place to stop overnight on our way from ny to myrtle beach area. 1st time hitting this place up, and expectations were low as it was close to closing time. I found it! This is my new "go to" place for Chinese food in Fredericksburg! The food was flavorful, fresh, ready quickly, and well prepared! The shrimp fried rice was beautiful and full of the extras that make fried rice so wonderful! The General Tso chicken had just the right amount of heat and was also full of flavor. The presentation of the General Tso chicken was on point! They packaged it in my "to-go" container like they were plating it at a 5 star restaurant! Terrible and tasteless. Egg rolls are red inside with a weird taste. Remaining classics are just "off" in a bad way...bitter, vinegary when none should be there. Food factory with low quality/not fresh ingredients. We stopped there on a road trip from Florida to northern Virginia. It was a convenient stop. The food was excellent. The portions were so large that we had enough for a second meal the next day. We had egg drop soup, wonton soup, shrimp and lobster sauce and stir fried vegetables and rice. The food came quickly. The restaurant is in a strip shopping center and seems to do more of a takeout business but they do have a few tables for dining inside, which we did. Enjoy! read more

How much do I love this place? I love this place so much, I am too embarrassed to even take a pic of my disastrous of a plate. I mix it and it's such a perfect pair of sweet and savory. I have my two favorites here and I have no shame for ordering the same things for about 4 times now. My love for this place absolutely surpassed my expectations on other places I've been eating in for the pass week. This is actually my first review in my area and, it's very exciting. Let me tell guys what my two favorites are. The shrimp fried rice , which is not overpowering any dish that you want to pair with it. Which by the way, they are not stingy with the shrimps and medley of veggies that came with it. I pair this with pork spare ribs , that has this char, sweet marinade sauce that I think, they cook with it. That perfect bite of surf and turf Chinese style. Besides the food though, they have such a great customer service on the phone, cause I only do pick up and delivery. I'm always looking for a better Chinese food restaurant, when I read the yelp reviews on this restaurant I was excited to try them out. So we ordered crab Rangoon and two orders of the General tso chicken. One people said the general tso chicken was delicious but it was not fresh or spicy enough. I was definitely disappointed with the crab Rangoon as well, it was good but too greasy. Where I live in town, this is the go-to place to get your Chinese food. My order will likely be prepped before I am done writing this post. Anyhow, whenever I come here I leave with a heavy and CORRECTLY filled bag with what deliciousness I ordered every time. Extra spicy, or spice on the side? No problem. Ordered from here twice, both times fairly satisfied. The food is prepared well and it tastes very hot and fresh too. For the combination platters they do a nice job balancing out the rice from main dish, as I had both the lo mein and the Kung Pao chicken on my two occasions there. The steamed dumplings were also incredibly good and definitely worth the price to order them (there was 12 of them). The owner was also very nice and friendly and accommodating (I asked them to remove the peanuts from the Kung Pao and though they messed it up, another worker literally took tongs and removed each peanut from the order).
