This place never seems to disappoint. The portion sizes are large and the price is great, but the flavor is something to come back for. This time around we got two 2-item combos with black pepper chicken, spicy chicken, string bean chicken, and BBQ pork. We had only noodles, which are thick and moist, and while they use the usual vegetables, they don't over-do it. (No one wants to get a plate full of cabbage when they asked for noodles, right?) Black pepper chicken was crispy, sweet, and peppery but not too spicy. This is the best I've had in a long time. Their spicy chicken is tender and tangy, with a kick of sriracha and jalapeños. My husband loves it but I can't handle the heat as well as he can. Their string bean chicken was equally delicious, the sauce was very flavorful and the chicken was quite moist and tender, with way more flavor than the Panda equivalent (that stuff is so bland...). The green beans were very cooked, but I guess it's personal preference, as I hate the taste of under-cooked/fresh green beans. Their BBQ pork is fantastic, crispy on the outside, with a sweet sauce and a depth of flavor that no one would expect from a carry-out place. Super delicious. If you're trying to decide on where to get your fix for some carry-out Chinese, definitely give this place a try! read more

Great food and HUGE portions, so much better than Panda and the like. If a tray is even near empty, they'll make you a new batch. We come here often. Buy 10 combos get one free! We've used this twice and are on our 3rd card. The only drawback is there are too many onions in the fried rice, but I'm a super picky eater so that is probably just an issue I have (I have many but thats another story). They just added BBQ chicken for a limited time and it was very tasty. Hopefully they keep this item. Not many take-outs offer SweetNSour chicken for their combos so I always get that here. read more

I really like this place and havent gone to Panda Express since discovering it. They give you massive heapings of noodles, and eveything is tasty and fresh. I usually order a to go pot of War Wonton soup, i dont think its even on the menu. it takes about five minutes but worth the wait, and only $5....and theres enough for tomorrows lunch. read more

This place has sadly gone down hill. The food was great while it was still Dragon Garden but I am not sure what it is now. My sweet and sour pork was soggy and had standing grease in the box, my noodles were cold and had dried up crunchy parts, and the people are getting rude. If you want to pay slightly less than Panda, but still have the huge quantity of food that this place gives I would suggest going to the place that still calls its self Dragon Garden, on J and Challenger way. read more

I consider this place a cut above Panda Express. Yes it's not in the same category as restaurants in Chinatown. But it addresses my fast food needs whenever I crave some inexpensive Chinese food. They give you huge portions and the food taste is decent. Their 2 item combo is enough to feed a family of four. So when it comes to volume, quality, and price. It fits that happy medium of right there in the middle for those at times that are budget minded. I didn't feel like cooking so I just asked for Chinese takeout, not the white sauce but spicy. So on the way home he got some. When I opened the boxes and started spooning the stuff into my bowl I had no idea what I was eating. But after digging in I could tell it wasn't good. And I was sad, because I had no idea what had happened to this poor food. Then I asked where he got it, and came here to write about it. The sliced meat was so chewy I had to spit it out. Turns out it was supposed to be pepper chicken. No way, not a speck of pepper on it, nor were there green peppers. So in what way was this supposed to be peppered? The hot and sour soup had a strange color and I like spicy. Just not this soup. The vegetables weren't prepped well, perhaps their knife needs to be sharpened because the broccoli and the celery pieces had cuts that never quite made it through. Even if these cuts had made it through, the pieces were much too big to be eaten with chop sticks. The carrots were thin but about 3 inches long. Come on, its supposed to mimic Chinese food, and the Chinese don't use knives at the table! It is supposed to be conveniently eaten with chopsticks. I had to cut it up to make it bite sized. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful, and I appreciate that. Abundant food, not prepared well, not flavored well... there is a better place down the street on L at 20th where you can get the same huge portions, cheap price but better prepped and flavored. I was relieved he didn't get it there and decided to try a different place because I would have been really upset had this come from our regular cheap Chinese takeout place! read more

A great place for take-out! A limited selection on the ready to serve steam table, but it still has the more popular dishes, and a wider selection is available on the menu. They really pack it on there, too, so light eaters can easily share a combo meal. Very reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of food you get, easily save a couple of bucks over Panda Express. The potstickers are excellent, highly recommended! read more

One of the best take-out Chinese restaurants we've found, and close to home. We've been regulars for the past couple years. Portions are large, and great for the price. A Combo B, or especially a Combo C, can easily feed two people. We (two of us) usually share a combo C with rice/chow mien, the black pepper chicken, orange chicken and a side of cream cheese wontons to go for $11. The orange chicken can be hit or miss, but my favorite is the black pepper chicken; overall I really like the food. Quick and friendly service too. I do suggest to call ahead if you plan on ordering something that's not one of the "hot and ready" staples. read more
