Decided to order here instead of our usual Chinese takeout place. Big mistake! We ordered a ton of food so we could have leftovers for a few days for lunch and dinner. It's too bad all the food was completely flavorless. Even the egg drop soup, I had to add a ton of salt and pepper just to make it somewhat palatable. The almond chicken was bland and the veggies were completely unseasoned. My fiancé, who ordered the beef and broccoli, basically got a box of just broccoli with a few pieces of beef. This was my 2nd time coming here and first review. I usually only get this type of Chinese food when I'm craving some junk type food, with a good amount of "chicken". That's certainly what you get here. Its really close to my house so that's a plus. Service is a minus. Food: 2 Item Combo Plate $6.28 Orange Chicken - Fairly standard, reasonably large portion, tasty the way orange chicken at takeout Chinese places usually is, had the usual flaw of the chicken being too dry once you get past the coating. Black Pepper Chicken - Good, somewhat unique, tasty chicken that isn't dry with other veggies in a tasty sauce, by far the best thing on the combo plate. Probably one of the best things here. Decently large portion. Noodles: Thick, would have liked them a little skinnier, very much like spaghetti instead of oriental noodles but tasty nonetheless, very wet. Large portion. Fried Rice: Large quantity, pretty standard, nothing special nothing bad. Potstickers $3.98 You get 10 of them, pretty crispy, not overpriced considering most additional sides usually are. They only had one lady (seems like the owner/wife), serving food the majority of the time, there were about 3 customers ahead of me (they each ordered 3-4 combos though), and I waited over 30 minutes standing in line... I ordered the potstickers in advance so that wasn't an issue, and they refilled the orange and black pepper chicken once while I was waiting. The biggest lag, was the fact that their was only one person putting the food into the containers. The wait at a cafeteria style place should not be an issue... The biggest service flaw was the rudeness of the lady when I paid. She was rushing through very curtly, was unpleasant. Since there were many orders placed and being filled at the same time and I did not see the potstickers come out, I nicely asked to make sure that my order was correct, she said "Potstickers there!" and pointed at my bag, then rolled her eyes... Do not eat in here, they will rush you out and you will feel uncomfortable. Overall The only reason I don't give them 4 stars is because of service, the only reason I don't give them 1 star is because of food/price. I don't give them two, just because pleasant service isn't particularly a requirement at a takeout place, but still should be expected. Recommendation Try the combo and get the black pepper chicken, skip the potstickers unless you want to spend money, and try not to let any rudeness during checkout bother you. read more

Gross! I ordered fried rice, black pepper chicken, with beef and broccoli. When I got home to my dissatisfaction the rice tasted as if it had been reheated and left out for awhile. Black pepper chicken was okay. Beef and broccoli was blah the broccoli was mushy it was boiled or sautéed way too long. I was into my third bite of fried rice and BAM there was a hair a short thick slightly curled hair looked thick enough to maybe be a beard hair or as my family joked maybe a pube which to then I decided to throw it all out. So all in all my experience here for the first time was disgusting to say the least. Glad other yelpers have had great experiences. My first time eating here. I got a take out order and boy was I disappointed. My plate consisted of chow mein, Kung pao chicken and orange chicken. I also got a side of fried rice. I'll start with the chow mein; had no veggies and flavor was bland. Fried rice; was not what we know as Chinese fried rice, no egg no soy sauce just terrible. Kung pao chicken had no peanuts and the sauce was not good. Orange chicken; seemed so old and lacked flavor as well. Take out service was ok and price would be fair if food was good. Being from the east coast, I'm not a huge fan of the cafeteria style Chinese restaurants here. I got fried wontons, potstickers and a combo c. Half and half friend rice and chow mein - with bbq pork, chicken with string beans and beef and broccoli. I ate half of the fried wontons in the car on the way home - they were that good. Like Id come back just for the fried wontons alone. They were crispy and bulging with pork filling. Other places just serve fried wonton wrappers. These tasted like good nyc China town wontons. The potstickers were good too. Slightly garlicky and nice and crunchy. The fried rice was base fried rice. No meats. Moist and good tasting. Chow mein again a basic noodle sauce and some onions situation. Fresh and tasty. BBQ pork was a little dry and chewy. Dipping it in the sweet n sour sauce from the wontons kinda fixed that. I was excited that I could taste the fresh green beans in the chicken and the sauce was light but it had flavor. Beef with broccoli was pretty good too. Portions were a good size on the combo and prices were comparable to other similar places around town. One combo b or c could easily feed two people. So I ordered the rest of my plate and it took about half an hour for them to serve my plate. But that's not even the worst part, I found hair in my teriyaki chicken, not the human hair but the chicken hair!
