She would also forget requests and fail to bring things we requested until we asked twice. I ordered the Dutchman Burger and immediately experienced buyer's regret. The burger tasted off--like it was a day away from his expiration date. The initial taste each bite was okay, but always end with a gamey, off-putting taste. We will definitely be visiting Shipshewana again and will each at DDE. However, I won't get that burger again and hope we don't come at a time when the servers are overworked and distracted.

I said something to the waitress and she immediately took it to the kitchen boss. Instead of taking the vinegar off the counter and washing it with soap and water they did nothing until I went up and said something again. The New General Manager and kitchen boss looked at me when I mentioned it again. They should have taken the bottle off the salad bar right away when I mention it the first time. Several other people unaware of the bug in the vinegar put it on there salad. After I mentioned it the second time they had the person in charged of the salad area empty the vinegar and rinse the bottle out with water but used no soap. I can see what is going on from where I was seated. This isn't the first time that this has happened with bugs in my food. This is why I prefer to eat at home. The waitress was excellent the GM and kitchen boss not so much. It would be great if they actually had the correct signs for the food they are serving. I have mentioned several times that they should update their signs so people can read them. Also, it would be nice if they could post somewhere which oil that they're cooking in unfortunately, I'm severely allergic to anything with peanut oil in it. So I tend to stay down in the salad bar area when my friend wants to come here. This location has a lot of wonderful servers here upper management That's another story. Linda takes pride and what she does. I have pointed several things out to here in the past and she gets it taken care of right away.
