A "must" whenever I visit my hometown. Food was hot and delicious. I wish we would have ordered more food and not just crab Rangoon and egg rolls. We were unsure of what all they had to offer due to Covid/staff complications that all restaurants have faced. Definitely will come for lunch/supper next time. read more

I see all the great reviews, but for me this is an okay option. Food is hit or miss for me. We got lunch specials the first time here and I thought the garlic shrimp I had was good. I wasn't a fan of the crab rangoon though. We came for dinner one night and the pot stickers were good, but seems to be from a bag. The Hunan Chicken was good, but the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce was too think of a glop from the corn starch. read more

This little restaurant has been a hometown staple for a long time. They now have no waitstaff now and a walk up window to order. Foam containers and plastic spoons and forks. The food was done pretty quickly, and it was tasty and piping hot. However they really weren't cleaning tables as they now seem to be fully focused on takeouts. It's kind of a bummer to lose the full service atmosphere in a town that has so many fast food and carry out establishments. read more

Tried to order from this restaurant the last 2 days and nobody would answer. Has the restaurant closed down? Maybe they are on vacation?

Egg drop soup is like snot and no flavor fried rice looks like it was reheated from the day Before wonton soup was more like a cup of water with veggies thrown in it like an after thought over all food was extremely bland save your money for a restaurant not targeted for the elderly that have lost all seance of taste!!!! All I can say is.....WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE?!?! You're going to save money by going to Ft Wayne and eating there. Styrofoam plates, plastic utensils (that the prongs bend on when you try to pierce your food), cans of sodas and NO WAIT STAFF!! And I paid over $70 for food that wasn't even decent. This place is a typical Chinese restaurant in a strip mall near a Walmart so I wasn't sure what to expect. But, it turned out to be very good! Had Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Sesame Chicken, and all three were quite good. The quantity of the food is quite large as well. We had to box up a lot of it to take home. With three people, we probably could've ordered two meals and been fine to share. The lady serving us was quite friendly, and the entire experience was a very pleasant surprise. Tried this place a couple times. Their Orange chicken and Governors chicken are practically the same...Each overly doused in sauce. The chicken is mostly bread and overly fried...Hardly any soft chicken in them, makes me think they use frozen chicken...Not fresh!. Hard to chew and hard to swallow. I also asked for chow mein and they said they only had it dry and would not come with my meal??? So we settled for their white rice and fried rice which was nothing to write home about.They are also pretty expensive to feed a family of three. Not worth the price or time. Can't make it to Chinatown? Then stop on in at this place. Wife & I are relatively new to area and had heard that there was a Chinese / Oriental restaurant in the area, but that was all anecdotal as had never seen the place. As wife was in mood for Chinese one day, I did what anyone would do and looked for the address on my GPS and made my way there. (Hint: Its in a strip center next to the Wally World in CC!) Since we were there at lunch time, had the lunch menu on that trip and the choices, though not as broad as on the dinner menu were varied and very inexpensive for what you get. We were impressed by both the service and the food, this place has real Chinese food, not something like you will find at the chain places. The egg rolls (one of my favorites) were awesome and found out they have a lunch item of 2 egg rolls, soup, fried rice (which is very good, not sure where the reviewer who said its not wants to eat), and tea. That is now my new favorite! I have tried the Mongolian Beef along with several other choices and all of them have been some of the best I have ever had, including places in Chinatown. The wife has tried all kinds of places and since she lived for years in a Chinese family, getting high praise from her on Chinese cuisine is not all that easy, so when she raved about the food, I knew I would have no problems getting her to go back on a regular basis. We have returned there on at least a weekly basis since making the discovery of the location of this restaurant and since we don't have to travel to Fort Wayne for food that pales by comparison any more, am as happy as a clam about this place being fairly close to the shopping areas of Columbia City. After thinking a bit more about it, if we lived in Fort Wayne or further away, I would make the trip to CC to dine at this rather small restaurant, its that good! read more
