    9. Dumplings

This place has terrible service, I waited 30 mins for my food (ordered 2 things) and literally everyone who ordered after me got their food before me. I had to go up and ask to finally get my food. These dumplings are actually nasty and I swear they use crescent rolls for the outside I saw them opening those dough cylinders. Egg drop soup was good but not worth it for the terrible service.

Definitely fits the bill when you need a chinese food fill. The portions were very large for the price, and I was able to split it into two meals easily. The flavor did not disappoint. The interior is pretty small and low key, but it's great for takeout. I walked in and ordered to-go, and I didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. My biggest disappointment was that I didn't get a fortune cookie, but that's nothing major.

I ordered chicken lo mein and pork with mushroom from this restaurant. I ordered the food through door dash. Door dash driver delivered food to my door. As soon as I got the order I open the bag. I got shocked while I see water container and some rice. There was no food inside it. I report it to door dash and they gave refund to me. I want to aware all the customers please do not order food from them. They are scammer. I called the door dash driver about it. Driver also said that he got a lot of same type of complain from different customers. Means they are making money for selling sink water in curry container. I report it to the Blacksburg police too. They said they will investigate on it

This place may have good price and offers, but DON'T be fooled. I ordered $20+ worth of food and I felt like a pig after eating their food. I simply threw away most of it away because it was disgusting and inedible and also had very bad indigestion afterwards. Especially the chickens are very hard and stretchy, and when I see what it really is, there is barely any meat and it feels like few months old stuff fried and sauced like shown on picture. McDonald chicken nugget tastes and looks 1000x better. I also ordered some ribs and they were so old and just felt like clump of oils. Not all menus may be like this but orders I found disgusting were their "most ordered menus". Would recommend to look into different Chinese restaurant even at little bit more cost.

I'm a second generation Chinese-American and my Chinese isn't quite at the level of native speakers. I still always try to speak Chinese whenever I'm at a Chinese restaurant. However, I felt ridiculed by the lady running the cash register - who went out of her way to mention how poor my Chinese is. I brushed that off and still ordered my food. My friend and I ate-in, and there weren't any other people at the restaurant. The food was average. I found the dumplings to be very ordinary and quite small. I wish that I had better words to say, but I overall didn't have a good time here and won't be back.

Then we started finding foreign objects in the food. We kept a piece of wire once to show them, and another time found, and kept, a piece of plastic. Showed the owner those things both times and owner was just kind of 'oh well' attitude. Offered us a free egg roll but we declined both times as their once great egg rolls had gone down hill over the years: greasy and half the size. Then owners got short tempered and non-smiling where once had been happy people. Food kept getting from bad to worse so we stopped going there. Miss chinese food but finding foreign objects in one's food is unacceptable. They weren't regretful at all and even seemed to think we were not telling the truth! So take your chances in going to Double Dragon if you must. We do not recommend.
