    9. Dumplings

This place has terrible service, I waited 30 mins for my food (ordered 2 things) and literally everyone who ordered after me got their food before me. I had to go up and ask to finally get my food. These dumplings are actually nasty and I swear they use crescent rolls for the outside I saw them opening those dough cylinders. Egg drop soup was good but not worth it for the terrible service.

Definitely fits the bill when you need a chinese food fill. The portions were very large for the price, and I was able to split it into two meals easily. The flavor did not disappoint. The interior is pretty small and low key, but it's great for takeout. I walked in and ordered to-go, and I didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. My biggest disappointment was that I didn't get a fortune cookie, but that's nothing major.

I ordered chicken lo mein and pork with mushroom from this restaurant. I ordered the food through door dash. Door dash driver delivered food to my door. As soon as I got the order I open the bag. I got shocked while I see water container and some rice. There was no food inside it. I report it to door dash and they gave refund to me. I want to aware all the customers please do not order food from them. They are scammer. I called the door dash driver about it. Driver also said that he got a lot of same type of complain from different customers. Means they are making money for selling sink water in curry container. I report it to the Blacksburg police too. They said they will investigate on it

This place may have good price and offers, but DON'T be fooled. I ordered $20+ worth of food and I felt like a pig after eating their food. I simply threw away most of it away because it was disgusting and inedible and also had very bad indigestion afterwards. Especially the chickens are very hard and stretchy, and when I see what it really is, there is barely any meat and it feels like few months old stuff fried and sauced like shown on picture. McDonald chicken nugget tastes and looks 1000x better. I also ordered some ribs and they were so old and just felt like clump of oils. Not all menus may be like this but orders I found disgusting were their "most ordered menus". Would recommend to look into different Chinese restaurant even at little bit more cost.

Pretty good, but didn't blow me out of the water like so many people say. It's college-grade Chinese food, not gourmet Chinese.

Best Chinese food in town! Might take a while if you get it delivered but the food is worth it.

Sweet and sour chicken has been over cooked and hard as rocks the last few times I've eaten here.

This food was tasty, but I've had a lot better. If you want Americanized Chinese in Blacksburg, this place is second to China Inn.

The covered patio is fantastic--it sits perfectly between buildings, creating a light, refreshing breeze that makes outdoor dining incredibly comfortable. There's also an ample amount of seating, so you never feel cramped. The service is just as impressive as the atmosphere. Our first server, Cassidy, was so amazing that we specifically requested her on our second visit. As for the food, you really can't go wrong. My husband, mother-in-law, and I tried the Philly cheesesteaks and tortellini on day one, and followed it up with the baked ziti, manicotti, and broccoli Alfredo on visit number two. Our pasta entrée's came with a fresh tossed or Caesar salad, and they start you off with warm, soft bread that has the perfect crust. The portions are incredibly generous (expect leftovers!), making the pricing very reasonable. For my husband and me, our bill was only around $45 including soft drinks. We love this spot for lunch and can't wait to come back for dinner and drinks!

I got the blackened mahi-mahi fish tacos, which were fine but the fish was a little overcooked. My fish could have been a little more tender, is what I'm saying to you. Most of the tacos come with cabbage, tomato, guacamole, cheese and white sauce. You can pick from flour tortillas or corn tortillas. (I picked corn tortillas, because of course.) Chips and pico de gallo are brought out to start, and the chips are dynamite. They are the type of tortilla chips that are warm and thin and crispy and hard to stop eating! I visited this restaurant with a group of people, so we got a bunch of the appetizers, beyond the chips and salsa. We got the guacamole (yum!) as well as the Baja shrimp & crab dip (so good, and served with pita bread), and the queso dip, which is just melted cheese, so you know it's really good. Cabo Fish Taco is known for their margaritas, though. This restaurant has one of the largest tequila menus in the state of Virginia! You can find 13 or more specialty margaritas on the menu, so there's something for every margarita lover. I got The Perfect Wave, which is a blend of their tequila, Cointreau and Grand Marnier. It was tasty! If the weather is nice, you should opt for the patio seating, like my party and I did! They have a huge outdoor patio, and it was nice to sit and enjoy the nice weather outdoors while eating Mexican food.

However we recently took the time to try it out and we were pleased with both the service and the food! It was on a Saturday afternoon that we decided to try it out, no wait time, we were immediately seated at a booth. Everything looked clean, there were several families already dining. Definitely family friendly! We ordered Combo D with extra potatoes and extra corn and we also decided to add noodles. We went with Original Cajun Seasoning Mild (just because the hubby can't take it spicier ) guys, it was seasoned right, not too salty, very buttery, so delicious! We also ordered the fried calamari, it was absolutely crunchy and delicious, loved that it comes with 2 different dipping sauces. This place is a must try if you like seafood! On the plus side, parking is free and convenient (near the movie theater away from downtown Blacksburg) and service was friendly. Although the interior has a casual vibe, the prices seemed high for the quality of food. The dishes yielded mixed reviews. For example, my son loved the mac-n-cheese but did not particularly enjoy his Ribbe sandwich (which was a tough pork chop). The fried chicken and sides (collared greens) were both delicious, but our appetizer dish of hush puppies was strange. It consisted of large fried cornmeal balls that were difficult to break (but the honey butter was nice). The Cobb salad was OK. I'm not sure if we will return to the Hatch again - but if we do, I will definitely order the fried chicken and sides.
