No AC working so two HUGE black portable air converters blowing loud but cooler air across the 7-8 tables in the place. Only 4tops with 4 chairs each. About 3 tables were occupied when I showed up. There is a counter towards the back.. I walked to it because it had menu's spread out on the top and I thought maybe you order, pay and go sit down ... but the lady wanted to know if I was here for pickup, I kindly told her no, I wanted to eat inside. So she said pick any table and they would come to me. So I did. She came quickly. Took my Drink order and left a menu. It was typical "Chinese" faire. Lunch specials range from $8.75-$10.75 or so. Each entree comes with fried or steamed rice. If you want soup or egg rolls that costs more. Most places I go those items are included, so if you get those things you will spend a bit more here. I was a bit disappointed in the egg roll. It had no pork or shrimp or any protein. It was more like a spring roll. Just veggies. The egg drop soup was super yummy. The right kind of texture, color and amount of eggs. And good flavor. They barely give you any crispy strips for it, but at least you get some.. I got Mongolian Beef with no heat. And fried rice. And it was amazing. Nice bite size chunks of beef. Good amount of Green peppers and other veggies. Mushrooms were a little too thin, could have been sliced not so thin so as to be more of a flavor contributor to the dish. The fried rice was AMAZING. You could taste the "wok char" in the rice, this was actually fried and not just doused in soy sauce. It was delicious. Best I've had since Hunan on Mesa.
