Pan fried dumplings : small, odd shape, served flipped tupside down apparently directly from the pan, and not all that crispy. BBQ pork Bao: split on top, way too soft (and wrong) texture Spicy Sichuan soup - this was easily the best dish but it's made with lemongrass ?? that's a Thai thing. An unusual but delicious tweak. The servers were very attentive but not overly so. I was asked for my drink order and I asked if they had hot tea. I was given the choice of green or jasmine tea and I went with green tea. After contemplating the menu, I decided on the lan zhou noodles. I asked the server what the difference between the lan zhou and beef noodle soup were and he said the lan zhou beef was thinly sliced whereas the beef in the beef noodles were more of a chunk. I also ordered the dumpling appetizer and the egg tarts to go. The lan zhou noodles came out quickly. Nicely put together with hand pulled noodles, a few pieces of thinly slice beef, some broccoli, turnip slices and clear broth. This was definitely hand pulled noodles from the different thickness of the noodles. Amazing and so very tasty and filling! The dumpling appetizer was also expertly made and it was nice to be able to try most of their dumplings in one order. I normally don't eat chili sauce but this sauce went with the dumplings. The 0.5 star deduction was for the egg tarts. I'm spoiled coming from the Bay Area where there are amazing egg tarts in San Francisco and Oakland Chinatowns. The ones here tasted like they could have been frozen and reheated. Not enough egg custard and the crust could have been flaky. All that being said, I've been raving about this place now that I'm in California. I'll definitely be heading back there the next time I visit my bestie again! read more

This Noodles & Dumplings restaurant on Mesa Street is great. I will definitely eat here again. The food is prepared fresh to order and you can watch them making the food in the open kitchen. The pan-fried dumplings were outstanding. I got the combo dumplings and they were all delicious. The cucumber salad was large and tasty. I could eat that everyday. The milk bao were great too. The black garlic soup with pork belly was also good. The green onion pancakes were not my favorite. I've been to the Pecos location and loved that one. We came here in xmas day because we r on a road trip and everything else is closed. We are little hesitant in the beginning since we came from a city with a ton of authentic Chinese food so we were scared that we would have a bad experience. However, the food was surprisingly delicious and we are super happy with the dishes we got. 1. Braised beef noodle soup: it was tender, and flavorful. The noodle is a little tough and chewy I hope we could customize the softness and shape. 2. Lanzhou beef noodle soup: I ordered the non spicy version since the table has the jar of exact spicy oil they put in the spicy version. This way i could customize how much I can add. The spicy oil is very good!! 3. Pan fried pork scallion dumplings : ok I gotta say this is better than a lot of pork scallion dumplings I have eaten in my life, the sauce is amazing, the bottom crisp is amazing. I loved that the first thing you see when you walk in are chefs stretching the homemade noodle dough. It was fun! We were seated quickly in the center of the well-lit space. We ordered veggie bao, orange chicken with fried rice, and a chicken noodle stir fry. Everything was fresh and delicious! BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! It's not only about the food and the ambiance and the cleanliness which is truly amazing and delicious but how warm and receiving they are.... After been turn down from a Famous Dave's because my service dog would make uncomfortable other costumers (which she doesn't cuz you barely know she's there unless you've seen her) we came here and let me tell you it was a complete 180 experience there... I called in advanced to let them know I was bringing a service dog and if she was accepted and the girl at the phone let out a little yelp of excitement... when we got there, WOW, we waited like for 5 minutes for a table to clear out so I could stretch my leg (I had an orthopedic boot) and in that time WITHOUT ME ASKING FOR IT, the owner who was there sent a big bowl of room temperature water (because cold might be to cold) for my dog and asked me if she could give my dog a little bit of meat because she looked hungry. Again this was done without me saying anything. The food was AMAZIIIIIING, and soooo delicious and the portions are huge, we ended up taking some home. While at the table, they brought an entire serving of meat unseasoned and straight out of the grill for my service dog. She was really happy and pleased, aaaand they didn't even charge us for it. At the end when we were going to pay, the owner came out and gave some more meat to my girl. The staff took some pictures with my dog too. First, the food was great but the service not so much. Samuel took our order with without writing it down. When we received our order one was not correct. In addition, I had to ask for a tea refill. We hardly saw are server after he took our order. Here some advice Samuel, use a pad if you cant remember the order and check on your table once the food arrives to verify if it is correct and if anything else is needed. I noticed you added to the our ticket a 18% tip($17.00) which I would not have given you for the service we received. There were so many cute drawings everywhere, and there was a glass window at the front where you can see the chefs making the dumplings in person. When I first came here 4 years ago, I remember it tasting delicious, and coming back after a long time, it was just as good! I came with my whole family, and they all enjoyed most of the dishes we got! For starters, we got the xiao long bao, pork scallion dumplings, and sam sum dumplings, which took a little bit of time to come out but was still decently fast! The shrimp were large and the sauce was also nice and tangy; however, the cashews lacked flavor so we didn't eat them. The sesame chicken was also tasty with the usual sesame sauce flavor. All of these dishes were 10/10 and approved by my family! For drinks, I got the mango with boba. It was pretty sweet, like a mango milk tea! I've been passing this place for a long time, and always assumed it was just kind of like a fast food restaurant, so it never hit my radar. I've always just used it as a landmark so I knew where to turn off Mesa when it was late at night. Well, thank god my back started hurting recently, because it has inspired me to walk more. And thank god Noodles & Dumplings is within walking distance to my house, because it gave me the opportunity to overcome my assumptions about this restaurant and force me to explore it a little more. I went there for lunch today, and was more than pleasantly surprised. Fabian gave me the best service possible (A+!), and the food was fantastic. I was shocked. I ordered the Kung Pao noodles with shrimp, and it was amazing. I then had the chocolate bao for dessert, and once again, was not let down. There are a lot of big, comfortable tables in there, so it would be a good place to go with friends and hang out, which is exactly what I plan to do soon. After so many great takeout experiences from Noodles & Dumplings it is hard to update my review, but after dining in I am going to change it from a 5 to a 4. We dined inside the restaurant for the first time, and I don't know if we have ever experienced service this slow. Our table ordered a few types of bao, and as our entree my boyfriend & I ordered the orange chicken to share. After waiting over 45 minutes, having our friend's food come, and asking multiple waiters, our orange chicken still never came. We ended up having to ask for it in a to go box, and it arrived after we got the bill. The waiters were nice but no one apologized or explained what the issue was. I still highly recommend the bao here, along with the orange chicken, but in the future I'm definitely sticking with carry-out only. read more

Homemade dumplings! I think a place like this existing in El Paso is a gem. It's a great break from all the repetitive Mexican restaurants that are a dime a dozen in the city. Granted these were not the best soup dumplings I've ever had, but they were pretty good.
