I have been to many different doctors/consultations where I felt uncomfortable going back after receiving a plan so I was googling my other options and stumbled upon Dr. G and his office in Bloomingdale. I went in for a consultation and they explained the procedure Dr. G showed me videos of his patients which made me feel at ease. The assistant was soooo nice and put up with all the questions I had since I came in a little paranoid. (Thank you as well for your patience and putting up with me!) The office staff came in after explaining payment plans and credit care then said that doctor G could get it done that day!!! I did not have to wait. The procedure was not painful, although I was tender and sore the next couple of days but they gave me all the prescriptions I needed to heal. He even LinkedIn messaged me that evening asking how I was doing which was so nice and shows he really cares for his patients. 3/13/2020 I came back everything is healed and they took out the stitches on my pallet and went on my way. There's something sketchy going on with an upper right molar and I decided to start with a root planing scaling (extra deep cleaning)... and see if that would help. It did a bit I guess but there might be more necessary so yay 2026! Anywhoo... this place is nice enough but its definitely more a family shop then professional office location is in a south Schaumburg strip mall and seems oddly designed. The admin staff seem okay but had a habit of not returning calls for 3 or so days which I was not a fan of in terms of service level. Loved Siena (dentist daughter) she was very cool and fun to chat with... her Dad was alright but seemed to over-explain basic dental procedures which made me think the demographics of clients were not critical thinkers... Ultimately though I think it wasnt a good fit after a year of trying their services... others might like the practice though.

Since I've been little I have always had "laughing gas" during dental procedures because of anxiety. Although this office does not have "laughing gas", they tried to keep me calm and inform me of every step they were about to do before they did it. Something as little as telling me every small step before they do it, made my experience an excellent one. I appreciated this and their willingness to answer any of my questions. They pay attention to detail and it is very important. I have a heart condition to where my heart beats fast and irregularly, the dental assistant made sure to check with the dentist if they should use the numbing shot with epinephrine or not. They care about your overall health and I would definitely recommend people to go to this dental practice!

Even in my 30s, I still carried that fear and embarrassment until today. Dr. Martin is truly a godsend. She and her staff Ashley and Kam were absolute angels. From the moment I walked in, the front desk team was welcoming, kind, and reassuring. In the chair, Dr. Martin showed such compassion and patience that I've never experienced at any dentist before. Her bedside manner is incredible. You can feel her genuine passion for her work and her care for her patients. I was especially nervous about the needle, since it has always been a huge fear for me. If you start researching tongue ties chances are you'll come across Dr. Geivelis because he's…read moreextremely well known in the "tongue tie" field. I didn't realize my kids had them as babies so he took care of 2 out of 3 of them when they were older (11 and 7 years olds). He referred my middle to an ENT by the name of Dr. Walner since he needed his adenoids out at the same time. Dr. Geivelis is so well known for this that there's an extremely large waitlist, especially if you want to get it done with anesthesia, which I personally think is a must for anyone who isn't a baby. It took about 8 months to get in from initial appointment for the actual procedure. Lori from Dr. G's office does a great job of keeping you informed along the way with everything from billing, preparing for surgery, meds to take after, etc. I think it's way easier for babies, but this is quite the ordeal if you have the procedure as an older child or an adult. First we spent months in myofunctional speech therapy to prepare for the procedure. The procedure day is far from fun, but I think mostly because my kids woke up really upset from the anesthesia. From there it's a few days of discomfort and after 3 days they are feeling back to normal. However, you're required to do a series of stretches so that the lip/tongue doesn't reattached at least 4 times a day. The kids get used to them after a few days, but my husband and I found them to be a huge pain...especially in the middle of the school day. The main reason we went ahead with the procedure was because all 3 of my kids are/were in speech therapy. I did see a difference right away in my middle son who went to Dr. Walner (we found that recovery to be way easier too). He was actually released from years of speech therapy the very next week. I haven't noticed as much of a difference with my daughter who had the procedure done over a year ago with Dr. G. And my youngest is who I was hoping to notice the biggest difference. He's also in the middle of years of expansion with Dr. Boyd, who Dr. G tends to work very closely with. It's been a few months since the procedure and we can definitely tell a difference (as can his speech therapists- both private and thru school) since he's able to produce clearer sounds now that he has more movement of his tongue. Overall, I"m glad we did it and found Dr. G to be warm and informative. If going the pediatric dentist route (over an ENT) I would definitely recommend him.
