I have poor gum health and have had an implant and excess tissue removed from a old wisdom tooth surgery by Dr Hosters. Team is thorough. They explain what they recommend to be done, they walk through the process and the payment required. I had 3 follow ups after to make sure it was healing properly. They will even submit the insurance claim on your behalf so you can get reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses. Great work. My gum health has improved and I have had the implant for 6+ years. Had a pair of related gum procedures done. Total of four visits: pre-evaluation, procedure, 2x follow-ups. Appears to be a complete success. Dr. Hosters throughly explained everything & answered all questions. The support staff was diligent & helpful. If I need anything in the future it's a no-brainer I'd go back & I'll have no reservations recommending the practice to my family & friends. read more

I am only giving 1 star because I have to in order to share my experience with you. I was referred to this Dr. by my Dentist for a procedure that required a specialist. Because of the way I was treated by the staff and this Dr, I have severed ties with my Dentist as well. First, I will say that this Dr. did the procedure I was sent to him for BUT I don't feel comfortable or satisfied with the way I was treated by not only the staff but the Dr. as well. On the required numerous occasions that I have had the unfortunate need to interact here left a very bed impression on me and left me unhappy as well as extremely angry at the way I was blatantly treated that even now as I write this review 6 months after the fact, I am shaking with anger! I let time past before writing this to be as objective as I could and I am still left as angry today, as the day I had my procedure. Dr. Hosters I feel is arrogant, condescending, and full of himself! If he catches wind as to how you feel he will be slightly rough, I almost had a panic attack as I felt almost suffocated in the middle of the gum surgery, he wanted me to move my head and he roughly jerked my head in the direction instead of asking me to move and middle procedure I wanted to jump up and run out who cares if I had no gums in place. It took all my strength to remain calm and not defend myself, I felt like I was being assaulted. His staff is blatantly rude and behave like silly children blasting the music while looking at you to see if there's a reaction, especially ignorant were the ones who don't speak English as a first language, they have the nerve to wave their hands at you as if they are the queen and you are the peasant.They speak to you in a shockingly rude manner. Very upsetting and disturbing they treated anyone not from an eastern block country very badly including the UPS driver (he looked Latino) who delivered some boxes while I was there. Yet practically curtsied to the ones who were from former soviet republic countries. Very strange behaviors! They demand full payment by the way up front and are unhappily disappointed when they say the cost is $3k and not see you cringe in fear instead pay it there on the spot. I was supposed to have another procedure done but I am not doing it here! I don't enjoy paying $3k to be treated like crap by the Dr. and his rude staff! I wouldn't recommend this place nor would I revisit this place! I even dumped my dentist over this! I just had to leave a review after reading some of them and realizing what a pity for some people to not realize what e good dentist Dr. Hosters is. Iv been his patient over 15 years. For services like implants , bone crafting , extractions , laser treatment for gums, traditional teeth cleaning etc. In these 15 years all I have seen with Dr.Hosters and his team is professionalism, very knowledgeable, good organization, very clean facility and overall the best dental work Iv seen . Trust me when I say this cause I had work done on my teeth with few dentist prior to Dr.Hosters. So I know the difference between a good dentists and a bad dentist!!! This place was recommended by a dentist whom I no longer go to. Their office doesn't have parking. So good luck finding one on the street. Since my former dentist FAILED to noticed the cavity on my tooth after she looked at the x-ray. It was too late to save the tooth and she recommend to see Dr Gary Hoster. And of course, another x-ray done. Another cash from my own pocket which was unnecessary! Why do I need to take two X-rays the same day specially if they knew what was causing the pain on my tooth? After the x-ray, Gary told me that they couldn't do anything that day and to set up an appointment for surgery. On the day of the surgery, receptionist lied to me saying I will get back 1/4 of the cost from my insurance. WRONG! I never received anything. Not a penny. NADA! It's really hard to trust these dentists and orthodontists. Do your research carefully. All of them works like a car repairman and will charge you crazy! They do pretend that they care about you. But, their main goal is to empty and used all your insurance benefits. Not to mention hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars from your own pocket. read more

I was recommended to Dr. Hosters by my dentist. How unfortunate. I went in and he felt and took some measurements of my gums and an x-ray of the tooth (even though my dentist sent him an xray already). He gave me a quote of $912.00 for a bone graft and told me he took no insurance but would bill my insurance AFTER i pay him up front. No estimates were given as to how much my insurance would cover. I made an appointment anyway, but then decided i wanted to find someone in my network. So, I wanted to cancel my appointment. I called the next day and got their voicemail which said that they do not take cancellations through voicemail messages. That is a huge red flag. No doctor or dentist i have ever worked with has not taken cancellations via voicemail. I ended up getting a hold of someone and they insisted on putting Dr. Hosters on the phone with me. This was completely unnecessary as I had already made my decision to go with a different provider. I should have just confirmed the cancellation and said i did not want to speak with the doctor. Dr. Hosters proceeded to imply that no one in my network would do as good of a job as he would and told me i would "only save 20% more". Yeah, 20% of 900 is almost 200 bucks which is a sizable amount. I asked that he send all information gleaned from his $133 consultation (including the measurements of my gums) to another provider; he replied that he would only send x-rays and not these measurements so as not to bias the other provider and "do the work for them". Excuse me? I just paid you over $100. ALL medical information in that appointment should be sent over to another provider. I will be asking for these measurements on the phone again and will likely have to fight to get MY OWN medical information sent to another provider. This guy is cocky and greedy. Go elsewhere. read more

Dentist office absolutely stinks, I've been bringing my wife here for a few months now, we're already into it. So I have to keep paying and stay in here. But this guy cannot keep an appointment to save his life. You would think the man would learn how to not over book his clients. I'm tired of waiting at his will. I'm sitting in front of the place right now. My wife had a 5 o'clock and its 5:15. They keep telling her....few more minutes few more minutes. Now you would think what's 15 minutes today, but is 15 minutes to a half hour every appointment we've ever brought her to... I would not recommend this guy to anybody find somebody that has more respect for his clients...... And he cannot blame his office staff for it, He owns a business. He tells them what to do. Dr. Hosters was recommended by my primary dentist, whom I trust very much. I had a molar extracted -- the tooth turned out to be in worse condition than expected due to fractures that had weakened the bone over the years. Dr. Hosters' technical expertise is top-notch; though the procedure took a bit longer than a typical extraction because the tooth had to be removed piecemeal, it went very smoothly and I felt no pain. Dr. Hosters and his staff are also highly professional and lovely, and will put you at ease. Now I'm working on letting the bone graft take and then will receive a dental implant; I feel confident all will go well. read more

The Dr. seemed like a nice guy but I didn't feel I was in a facility committed to my health and well being. It was more like going into a car dealership. I got the hard sell under the guise of caring about what was in my best interest. I wonder..... if they are in such need of money why dont they hire a band and have a fund raiser. In some ways the saff's behavior was comical. In they end it only cost me about $200 to find out I will never work with these people. I found someone else to work with who was not desperate. After putting off multiple implants (with bone grafts) for 15 years, finally decided it had to get done. Was referred to Dr Hosters from my (new) general dentist. From the consultation to the initial surgery, and my two follow ups this far, I could not be more pleased with the overall services, professionalism, patience, kindness, and of course, surgery results. From the receptionists booking, to the assistants, to the checkout process, and of course Dr Hosters himself, I feel so welcome and comfortable in this office. Wish they offered general dentistry (for my own selfish reasons) but I definitely recommend Dr Hosters to anyone needing his professional services. read more

I first started coming to Dr. Hosters office when I needed an implant approx. 5 years ago. My implant is doing great and I receive quality maintenance care from Dr. Hosters team. More recently, (this past summer) I've had some other issues that needed addressing. Dr. Hosters did an evaluation, and I have been receiving the treatment that was recommended. One word describes my whole experience from start to finish....."Wow"! The end result speaks for itself. I had a very bad receding gum on one of my teeth from years of heavy brushing. The worst Dental office ever!! My father had a terrible experience. He went for a (free) consultation regarding dental implants & significant dental work which he would require. Once there, he was given the price quote & decided he would go elsewhere because it was very pricey. The assistant/secretary/hygienist insisted the DDS, Dr Gary see him & he was given the same quote & again told them "no, thank you." He did not receive any treatment, & was told the consultation was free, he was quoted $86. My father said "I will not be paying, it was a free consultation, I did not have any dental work or treatment." The assistant/secretary/hygienist spoke to the DDS & they agreed on half, $43. He was upset & just wanted to leave & he paid for the FREE consultation & service he did not receive & to top it off the said woman told him they don't need his business, not to return, & that he should get Public Aid!!! Not a way to treat anyone, especially potential future clients. This is not acceptable behavior!! Please do yourself a favor & don't waste your time at a place like this!!! read more
