this place is supposed to open at 10:45. I've been here since the doors opened. It's 11:25 and they are still not ready to serve food. There is a huge line forming out of the restaurant. Nothing is even close to prepared to being served. The staff are standing around, talking to each other. We came back there yesterday after a few months of not eating chipotle and were pleasantly surprised! It was around 9pm so we thought everything would be not very fresh or just left overs. But food was great! We got salad and two bowls with brown rice and chicken and guacamole with chips. Guac was super tasty! Very skimpy with proteins, I asked for steak (normal portion) barely got a whole scoop; and when I asked for more...I didn't get it. I had placed an order thru grub hub to have some food delivered. We had called Chipolte in Midwood several times and the girl who answered did not know what she was doing. I went by Chipolte and asked for the Manager, Jose, and told him was happened, he said we have to contact Grub Hub and have nothing to do with it, I did contact Grub Hub, but how can you have a 3rd party deliver for your business and say its not your responsibility? It does affect your business if you are using a 3rd party to do deliveries for you. He was not kind or wiling to give me the order there, was very unprofessional, the whole place was disorganized and no one knew what they were doing, so sad they have such bad management. read more

Well it's finally here and it's finally open to the public! I mean for a long time I have been on the fence with Chipotle...torn between my extreme love for it's tasty meals and yet horrified by the after feelings of sore stomach pain and disturbing bathroom visits. I have decided to put aside my past experiences and just take this visit to their new location with a fresh clean slate. So first off...it's a fast food chain, which means that they strive to create a consistency in their menu so that way essentially a vegetarian bowl at this location should be equally as yummy as a vegetarian bowl at their Chelsea location. So when it comes to food I have to say it felt like eating at any other Chipotle that I have ever visited so I don't know if that's a good thing or just fast food 101. What I think we should focus on is the interior design and the service. Those are the things that can make or break a fast food location. Have you ever had a cheeseburger at a fast food and there's bums harrassing you, the bathroom is a mess and the workers look like ex convicts? No! Well then lucky you because in this city that happens almost all the time. Thankfully it wasn't the case with this one. The Staff and the builiding looks amazing on the inside and it has that fresh new clean smell...which if they made that into a perfume I would be all up on that. I think what it's going to come down to is the store management. I have been to these places before and you really need to Cross your T's and dot your I's or the entire store starts to reek of lazy service and over priced 'fake' Mexican food. That's a question I really want Chipolte to answer... they claim to be a Mexican Grill and I just want some testimonials from Mexican restaurant owners or Mexican foodies that can actually vouche this strives to at least respectfully duplicate Mexican cusisine.....because I hate to break it to you, eating with families that are Mexican, Central American, and Carribean, no one thinks this is even close to authentic Mexican food. BUT hey it's Chipotle, a company that McDonalds was very close to and let's not even get started on McDonalds because they one Death Star away from being an Evil Empire of Animal Cruelity and Disgusting Health Regulations. So overall it's not the best food, it's not even real Mexican food but the store looks amazing and the staff was awesome. Can't ask for more from a new store. It tasted like a regular burrito in the form of a bowl. The lettuce and tomatoes did taste fresh though. I really like the burritos they sell at chipotles, I mean everything is freshly made especially the burritos. I have been eating at this restaurant since they opened in my neighborhood. Everything is fresh and tasty, I really like the meats that they serve and the liquid cheese. This is the best Mexican chain restaurant in the country, it has to be. Glad this business is open and serving the community during COVID. But customer service is terrible. Workers don't pay attention to the names on pickup orders. Workers don't put pickup orders on the alphabet-labeled shelves for customers to do their own pickup. No manager in sight, basically no one is in charge and staff do the best they can, but it's an unsupervised free for all. The food is good, the cook stations are well trained, probably thanks to the strict, easy to follow instructions on the monitors. But the cashiers, the staff who interact with customers, the ones holding pickup orders hostage behind the counter - they are unprofessional, rude, and downright terrible. My order was supposed to be ready at 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:40pm and asked if it was ready. They told me no, it's being made. I asked at 6:50pm, and 7:00pm, they told me there's other orders. At 7:10pm, they told me they have no record of the order. I gave them the name several times, and then I gave them the confirmation # and they finally found the order. When I asked why I had to wait 40 minutes for them to figure out my orders been ready on the counter, just sitting there, the cashier ignored me and moved onto the next customer. Absolutely disgusting. I understand it's a stressful time, but this is way below standard. Simply unacceptable. read more

I used to be a Chipotle fanatic, but I'll be steering clear of all Chipotle locations as of today after my lunch experience. This is the second time this year that this specific Chipotle location made me threw up - their food isn't as fresh as the other Chipotle locations (I advise only getting Chipotle if you're in the city because they're much faster and their food is actually fresh and tasty compared to this Chipotle). The only saving grace about lunch from this Chipotle today was the fact that I took a dissolvable (dissolves on your tongue and tastes like elderberry) Zofran tablet/pill after eating my lunch so that I wouldn't throw up as much like I did the last time that I ordered from here. It's so strange that only this Chipotle makes me sick - and I was thinking of going to Chipotle after my show tomorrow in the city with my dad. If you want a unique Chipotle experience, go to their test kitchen on 13th Street and 6th Avenue in the city - they usually have items that other Chipotle locations don't have ahead of time and they won't make you sick with their food. I went to the test kitchen for an editorial event back in June of 2018 when the quesadillas and tacos were "finished" but not ready to be launched into the regular Chipotle locations. The test kitchen also has a chocolate milkshake and a frozen Paloma if I remember correctly - don't know if they still have those two things. read more

Aside from the peppers and onions being grilled to the point of tasting burnt, the food is pretty tasty. The service was fast, but just okay. I wasn't asked if I wanted to stay or go, so I said "it's to stay". My order was placed in a bag anyway, and then when I ordered a margarita and she let me know she couldn't place my order in a bag and it would it have to be to stay. I was very disappointed today. I went to get two chipotle bowls and I noticed the worker who was serving the people in front of me giving them large portions of meat and toppings. When this spot first opened a few years ago, I thought the burritos were a bit "off." But now, it's my favorite chipotle branch. The food always tastes great and the staff is really friendly- especially Aurelis. They keep the place much cleaner than my other usual chipotle spot and they handle the line very well.. I rarely have to wait more than a minute or two to order, which is pretty awesome. Keep up the good work. read more

Reviewing this in comparison to other chipotle locations. I live within a few blocks and come here often. The staff is friendly and attentive. The couple of times I've made a mistake with my order, or they've misheard me and added something they shouldn't have (like corn, sauce etc.) They will immediately offer to make you a new order...I've had other places give pushback, or an attitude...They say it with a smile on their face and with empathy which is appreciated. One time I made an order for food, and wasn't able to pick it up at the time I scheduled. Came back several hours later, told them I had an order, and they offered to re-make it. Very nice, and appreciated. This as of right now is as good as Chipotle can get. Thanks! read more

I never thought that I would ever throw out food from a Chipotle, until now. I was very happy to see they opened in my neighborhood, however, it's as messy inside as I expected it to be. That's what happens when you have a neighborhood full of animals (aka kids) who are well, animals. But the food was sub-par. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl w/extra chicken and I found my chicken to be crunchy. Grilled chicken is not supposed to be crunchy. Want to know why it was crunchy? Because the geniuses in the back were burning it, not cooking it. If you can't do something as simple as grilling chicken, then you should be far, FAR, away from a kitchen. Yikes. Found uncooked brown rice in my bowl. The cashier doesn't know what she's doing. Was the little Indian lass with a lisp. She charged me, forgot to put the points on my card and and refunded me (and obviously refunds don't show up immediately which I tried to tell her but of course she didn't want to listen). She tried to charge me again right after that (it was a $50 order) and obviously it didn't work. Such an idiot. The manager gave it to us complimentary after all that. Bless him. read more
