Ordered for delivery, had the fish, shrimp and Birria taco. Loved the fish and birria taco, my kids agreed. The shrimp was good, but I've had better elsewhere. Also tried the el pastor, it was pretty good, love all the toppings all sauces they add. Came within a good time and packaged well.

Food- 3/5 The tres leches cake was a 5/5! Delicious! Loved the fruit! The tacos, not so much. The fish was the best out of the Fried Fish Taco w/ sour cream, Tinga Taco, Pollo Taco, and the Suadero Taco. The tinga was super spicy! Some of the tacos had a spicy dressing which wasn't listed on the menu ‍! I wouldn't have purchased if the spice level was indicated as such! Service- 2/5 Took a long time for my order to be prepared and completed. Ambiance- N/A Overall 3/5. Thumb up, would def order the fish taco and tres leches again!

As I said in previous reviews please have a nice welcoming experience, I did not see in this case since there was no host or manager at the door, waitress seemed to miss some experience, I liked the small bar they have, very cozy place, ambience was kind of boring, food taste good although they still need to work on their plating! Food has to come out more presentable please, fresh water delicious, I would like to see more improvements before I can recommend this place, thanks. I would like to see Elite members to please rate and review business the right way, and this goes for regular customers too, is so disappointing when you go to a restaurant and find out that they are not what you are expecting, it's important to review the right way so when people go to eat to this places they don't get surprised. Giving 5 star means place really deserves recognition. Thank you

As a Texan transplant living in nyc for the last 8 years, this is my FAVORITE spot in nyc!! The food is amazing and the drinks are strong and delicious! The service is the perfect. Today we had breakfast and beer and Manuel was our server. I sat on the adorable patio for the first time since I brought my dog with me and he brought a bowl of water out for him! Great ambiance;) Seriously love this place:)))

Went there for dinner, delicious food for a great price and quick service. I had the chicken tacos and my boyfriend had the quesadilla. The indoor seating space is a bit limited but there's a sauce station which I love. Will be back!

As soon as you walk into Taqueria Milear, you immediately feel the warmth and the cozy, inviting vibe. I'm genuinely in love with this place -- everything tastes homemade because it truly is. They have amazing weekly specials, too: * Happy Hour on Mondays ALL DAY with classic margaritas for only $10 (so good!) * Tecate Tuesday, perfect if you love an easy, chilled beer * And my absolute favorite: the Carnitas Combo -- tender, flavorful pulled pork that hits every time, available any day of the week. If you're vegetarian or avoid dairy, the Vegetable Burrito is incredible. It's hearty, packed with flavor, and wrapped in their house-made corn tortilla, which makes all the difference. Don't skip the chips -- with a scoop of guacamole on top of the warm chips. Heaven. Brunch here is another level: * Their chilaquiles are comforting and perfectly seasoned * And the eggs with steak is such a satisfying combo The cocktails are unreal -- especially their signature pineapple spicy cocktail. Truly one of the best I've had. Overall, Taqueria Milear is one of those rare spots where everything feels thoughtful, homemade, and delicious. I can't recommend it enough!

I'll be honest, I was disappointed by my experience here. I absolutely love Mexican food and, being…read morenew to the area, was excited to see this business with an immaculate reputation on Yelp. I did come at an in-between time (around 3pm), so it's possible that this was a one-off, but it was so meh that I'm not sure I'll be back to give it another shot (if I do, I'll come right at lunch or dinner time). The good: the mole was fantastic! Even with a mediocre meal, this stood out as amazing. The portions were generous. I thought at one point the woman asked if I wanted chicken or beef enchiladas, and having never had beef enchiladas I said "beef please." It turns out, I received chicken enchiladas with a portion of skirt steak on top (see photo). Again, very generous. The decor was lively. The misses: The beans were quite bland, to the point where I was surprised...it's such a foundational element of Mexican cuisine, but they needed more spices / a touch more salt. Also, my wife ordered the veggie wrap and it was bland. It contained lots of different vegetables, but somehow they weren't seasoned. I know vegetarian burritos aren't all the craze, but when I took a bite of it, I agreed...it was just vegetables, no seasoning at all. Nice to have it on the menu for folks like my wife, but why not season them first? Maybe it was an oversight. The horchata was different from what I've had in the past...not bad, but not something I would recommend either. It was watery, lacked any cinnamon flavor, and had ground almond on top, which was interesting (maybe this is regional?). Without the dynamite mole and the generous portions, this would be a 2 star review, but I can't, in good conscience, give less than 3 stars with mole like that. But the beans...womp womp.

This place is amazing! There's about 9 tables, the service…read moreis great, portions are ample, prices low. Fresh corn tortillas, there is a big difference in flavor from the packaged ones. The menu is extensive with some Mexican plates you rarely see at most Mexican restaurants. The totopos are really crisp. The beans are well cooked and seasoned, the rice is moist, with some entrees the piquancy can be adjusted. The main dining room and uni-sex rest room is kept clean. Take-out available. Compostable and microwavable takeout containers There is some street parking.

RIght off the bat were that margarita and the chips and salsa. The salsa seemed pretty plain, mostly a tomato base with lots of chopped onion. This was also accompanied by a plate of mashed beans, something I've not seen elsewhere. Shortly after we were seated, I did notice one of the waitresses taking photos of our very large group (20+) on her own phone - not on the behalf of one of us - and I have to wonder if it was for the restaurant's social media, or something else. The servers were very attentive, being sure to ask the right questions as we ordered items. Food and drink all came out quickly. My chicken fajita platter came with steaming warm tortillas, more than I've typically gotten at other Mexican restaurants, and a separate plate with huge quantities of the fixin's, including a sizeable amount of guacamole. All that plus lots of beans and rice as well. This is a nice reboot from the brewery that was previously here.
