While there is nothing wrong with the quality of the products, the pricing practices are highly frustrating. The Issues: No Listed Prices: Almost none of the items have price tags. The only way to find out how much something costs is when you are ringing it up at the register. Inconsistent Cashier Charges: The cashier appears to make up prices on the spot without scanning or checking for accuracy. If you don't watch closely, you will easily be overcharged. Outrageously High Markup: Some of the produce prices are completely unreasonable. For example: 1 lb of frozen Spanish plums: $12.99 Small papaya (1.5 lbs): Almost $20.00 Medium chayote: $2.00 each Final Verdict: Keep a very close eye on your total if you shop here. If you question the cashier about these erratic prices, be prepared for a defensive response or a poor attitude. I hope management addresses this lack of pricing transparency soon.

But... what came was a glob of red with shredded chicken and red sauce on top, which doesn't look like fajitas to me. I asked if this was the fajitas, and she said yes. I thought that maybe it was served differently here, and I figured I'd fine the veggies inside somewhere. I now realize (after looking up the menu online) that what I ate was the veggie enchilada meal, because it was potatoes wrapped in tortillas, and there were no or few veggies involved. My cocktail also didn't come, and we were half way through the meal before the wait staff, who was milling around because there were no other tables inside, made eye contact enough for us to ask for our waitress. She apologized, obviously forgot, and brought the cocktail. The potato enchiladas were tasty, but not what I wanted, so I'm disappointed. The service was clearly disappointing. But the setting and the chips and salsa were good. I'd go back for a drink and to sit outside.

The online site seemed strange because although the screens started by selecting the bowl bar and then the location, it kept putting us on a screen that only allowed us to order individual bowls. So we called, asked for catering, and the person we spoke with said not to worry, they would see the order when it came in and make it as a catering bowl bar, providing us with the trays, the heaters, etc. So we placed the order for 15 each of three different bowls, so we could get a variety of meats. Then we tried to check out and it would not allow us to have it delivered. So we called and talked to the same person who said they only deliver orders over $600 and our order was only $577. So we adjusted our online order to be picked up, but the earliest time to pick it up was an hour after. Our party was to start. So we called again, talked to the same person, who said they would manually adjust our order to one hour earlier after we placed it - keep in mind we were ordering this 3 days ahead of our event. When we picked up the order, it was not built as a catering, bowl bar order, but 50 individual bowls in several cardboard boxes. The bowls were already soggy on the bottom and cold. There was no manager onsite and we said we would be back to talk on Monday. So we went back today. The manager at the location said the following: - there is no way to order catering online - that the website let us order it was a corporate issue - and that it did not matter who we talked to at their restaurant when we ordered because we got our food exactly as the order was entered online, so we should direct our comments to their corporate organization. We called their corporate customer service number and all it did was add to our dissatisfaction. It played a message that we could direct our comments via email or talk to an agent. Then after selecting to talk to an agent, it said none were available and repeated the email instructions. The following day the owner of the Pancheros in the Quad Cities called us back. It was nice to talk to someone who wanted to listen to what happened, explain their side, and look for a constructive solution. He said that the corporate organization had begun rolling out online catering ordering, but their location had not yet been activated. So that must have been the source of the confusion, that their staff thought we were having bols catered and not a bowl bar. By the end of the conversation, he had made things right. So the bottom line is this: although we did not get what we thought we ordered, the food was good, the owner made the issues with the catering order and process right. We would visit the location again, when we are hungry for mexican food. And their corporate organization that maintains the website needs to be more diligent in making the online process more user friendly and foolproof (for example - see attached photo - there should not be an "Order now" button on the catering screen if you cannot order catering online).

Chicken enchiladas were presented very nicely, however again tend to lack seasoning. The cheese enchiladas were indeed very cheesy, but that's probably about all we could say. My recommendation is to try to find something else in the area. This place works if you're hungry and you're just looking for substance.
