Overall it was a meh experience- you either have super friendly staff or zero personality staff. We went a handful of times while visiting and the first time was wonderful, we had sweet girls and helpful and fun! After that my experience was terrible- rude staff-food looked old- thrown together bowls and the staff had bad attitude. I have had issues with this chipotle before, but I used to work at a different chipotle and love their food still and unfortunately this chipotle is the only one near me. I walk in and start ordering a bowl, bc I am a previous employee from a different location, I had noticed that they were starting closing jobs, I asked for cheese and they had none left, I said I was okay waiting. She they stated it would take a hour. (No it doesn't) we were the only people in the restaurant. I then stated again, that I was okay to wait because I knew it wouldn't take that long. I was then informed they would NOT be making more cheese. I asked for the manager politely and was told there was not one there. How convenient... makes more sense to why they had started closing at 7:00!!!! THEY CLOSE AT 10PM!!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL F***!!! So I paid for my $13 bowl that included only. Nice (brown) because white was also out, lettuce, and steak... BECAUSE THEY WERE OUT OF HALF OF THE ITEMS!!! AND I also didn't even get an apology or discount, if they didn't already start making my food I would have left, I just really didn't want to be wasteful I'm literally so disappointed and annoyed. I love Chipotle and when I heard they were coming to Galesburg I was excited! Unfortunately this is the 4th or 5th time in a row that my chips are stall and the food was just not good. My boyfriend and I were hungry and went out for a late night meal. We decided on Chipotle and were happy that we caught them before closing. There was a young lady who was wearing glasses (I cannot mention her name because she did not have a name tag) that took our order, made our food, and took our payment. In all three of those things, she had a disgusting attitude and was not hiding it. I can understand if we were a party of 10 ordering 10 different meals, but it was two of us ordering one bowl. We in no way, shape, or form disrupted the stores closing procedures to the point where we deserved that attitude. On February 5th, I reached out to customer service because I was double charged for my Chipotle online order. As a response, they gave me a "free" entree. I responded as this was not acceptable because it's not free if I already paid for it. I have been requesting to speak with a manager for the past 2 weeks and absolutely no response. Go anywhere else but here. Not an enjoyable experience AT ALL! The young lady who waited on us was extremely unfriendly and seemed annoyed that she even had to deal with us. Her attitude was uncalled for. When I was filling up my drink, an elderly woman who was eating her food looked at me and said she wasn't coming back. The prices are HIGH, especially for this area. We have plenty of restaurants in town that are friendlier and more affordable and frankly taste better. We won't be coming back. Oh and one last thing, I don't usually write reviews.
