Additionally check your bag before you leave as they forgot my chips . It was a huge inconvenience to come back and receive mediocre old chips that didn't even fill half the bag. I came in here and ordered dinner for my family a total of 4 bowls and 2 large guac 1 large chips totaled out to just under $72 ordered 2 sides of sour cream and 3 sides of beans in which they forgot to put in bag. this was by far the worst Chipotle ever eaten everything was way to bland from the barbacoa to steak to rice and beans normally white rice and beans seasoned with salt and pepper maybe some spice well this had none of the above. Think Chipotle tasted better when I had Covid and had no sense of smell or taste. I figured let's put it on fridge tried to add some salt and pepper to it and let the flavors meld. Did absolutely nothing wife and kids threw theirs in the trash and I had to make a statement. PS. Why does chipotle never have change? A Monday evening and you need cash to be exact or card? Last week I went to chipotle in Homewood and had a bad experience. But I decided to give it another try as any restaurant can have a bad day. So today I went there and was disappointed again. Let's start with the rice, very under cooked. So crunchy that it was not edible. Secondly I asked for the regular chicken and was given the honey chicken. Lastly I was charged for queso, something that I did not order or receive. I did try calling to speak with the manager but no one answered the phone. I will be contacting corporate. As today 3/6/26 was a terrible storm, I decided to wait until the storm was over to go grab me a salad from Chipotle at 9:45pm. As I am currently doing a keto diet I asked the young lady for fajita veggies. She stated that due to the time of day, she couldn't get any from the back because they are for online orders. I asked for a manager because again, I am on keto and there are limited options I can eat at any restaurant. The manager comes and says she couldn't use them, the because they are (Packaged) in the back. At this point I'm already frustrated because I am starving. I proceeded to get my food, as I am paying at the register, the girl tells the manager she needs more shells for an online order because she ran out of the ones in the front. What does the manager do, go and grab the shells. Chipotle do better and take care of the customers in store as well!!!! Follow your 1st mind. I started to go to Matteson website and place my order, but since I was closer to Homewood I figured I'll give them another try. First, they forgot my 3 orders of Chips. Second, they got all 3 orders wrong, which was placed Online. They only had to read the orders. Third, the rice was crunchy, very undercooked. Fourth, there were some kind of red stringy things throughout the entire bowl. Fifth, the Queso was barely there. The only thing they did get right I think is the Guacamole, I think. They stand around talking while serving, dry meats which appear old, burnt dry brisket, as if meats are being poured on top of fresh cooked meats, and nutrition containers appear to be old and not maintained with the correct temperature. I work near by so I HAVE to go to this chipotle sometimes but I DREAD it EVERY TIME! The food is cooked well and taste good but the service just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The employees attitudes are nasty and they all just don't look happy to be there. They honestly look overwhelmed and over worked and the wait is long because they need more team members to help. The staff are dry and rude(stop hiring a full staff of teenagers for a start) they decide when they feel like wearing gloves, rarely clean or put together nicely. They overcharge you for everything like damn I thought I was at chipotle not the nail shop. As a former fast food employee I understand that the long hours and surge of orders can be overwhelming. What I CANNOT understand are the unprofessional employees. This Sunday I ordered at 3:11 pm and the employees were disorganized, very argumentative and did not show any good signs of customer service. What made matters worse is that they are young and show no respect towards the elder customers. OK, I have tried to be good about being too sensitive and leaving bad reviews, but some places just have to cross that boundry. Homewod Chipolte has done that. If you are going to have a "restaraunt" this bad, just bulldoze that place and start over unless you are eating with someone you really want to get even with. Get yourself a glass of water. So...... My husband I went there last night, as we have done frequently. We have noticed a decided downturn in service and quality, but keeping hoping for that night when someone actually cares. It wasn't yesterday, I assure you. How can so much go wrong with one order?? Let me focus.... So, we got our usual..I my chicken bowl with rice and lettuce only, tomato mix on the side. My husband a steak bowl with all the trimmings. I got the tomatoe and started to put a some on my food when I noticed that the tomatoes were actully mushy, like they had been frozen for a few days. There was also white foamy (?) stuff (not onions) on it. I told my husband not to eat it and he was really ticked off when he saw them. Then....I got through the 3 layers of lettuce and got some chicken. Hubby asked what I was crunching on and it was the VERY burnt chicken. He didn't believe me until he ate his steak which was the same way. Then.... (yes, then....) I got a bite of the nastiest, slimiest goo that I think was the rice. I actually gagged on it when I tried to get it down. Again, hubby had same reation. Just WOW!!!! This is your commitment to good customer service? This is the impression you want people to have of the businesses in our town? Shame on you! I wish you better luck then I had placing a comment on the website or filling out the customer survey on the receipt. We had grilled cheese for dinner. P.S. Disgusting. This was the first...and ONLY time I will have Chipolte in my life. I ordered a salad. They didn't even put lettuce in it. How is this possible? It was a leaky bowl of grayish water with contents that resembled a colostomy bag. They also gave me less than 3 teaspoons of salad dressing in a cup as if I would have a need for it since there was no lettuce. Since it was part of a group order that someone had picked up, I didn't see what sad condition it was in until I unwrapped it. Ok by now everyone knows about Chipotle, and as a company/franchise I give them four stars in general. However, since it is a franchise not all Chipotles are created equal. I have eaten at Chipotles literally all around the USA, and this particular Chipotle falls just short of five stars as a result of the staff and chef. As a franchise Chipotle provides amazing quality food that is both nutritious and delicious. However, this particular Chipotle really does need a store manager and management to really focus on quality control because of inconsistent food flavors and over cooking of the proteins, in my opinion. Also for some reason they significantly limit protein size by giving customers very little chicken, steak, pork, etc in their bowls, tacos, or burritos. Chipotle has a great price but it is in the mid to high range, so you expect that if you are paying a good price, you should get a nice amount of protein and high quality for your money. I would even be willing to pay slightly more to ensure that I am getting my money's worth in protein and flavor. All in all it is hard to find a bad Chipotle, if they even stick somewhat close to the franchisor rules you end up with an excellent product, so I could never really rate his organizations/franchise below three stars, and in general it has been my experience that most Chipotle's rate at for me four to four and a half star. I have had several five star Chipotle restaurants that where so good that it makes you want to go back and get another order for the road! Lol! read more
