I placed mobile order ahead of time and when I got there for the time it said it would be ready I was standing there for a good 40 minutes and no one even tried to help. Oh my goodness! I thought the Chipotle in Beachwood was the best. Nope, this one is. The service was fast even though they were training a new person. The line was out the door, so I figured I'd be waiting a while. Nope, it went faster than I could've ever imagined. They hooked me up with the freshest meal ever. They WILL get your order wrong EVERY TIME, and last time we ordered I had to drive back TWICE for them to correct the order! Another issue is the rice is literally crunchy because it is so undercooked. I have never been so frustrated at an establishment in my 46 years of existence as this Chipotle. This store is a hot mess. I walk in on a Friday night at 9pm and the staff were more concerned about making their own dinner. I waited patiently for new rice, but instead got scraped the leftovers while the new rice sat behind the girl serving me (the guy never hands her the rice), the pinto beans were mixed in with the fajita mix, the manager came out to drizzle honey on his steak tacos, then took his meal to go eat it in the back (while his co-worker said "I should try that sometime"), the lady kept asking for sour cream but got no response so I got the scraps of that and the guacamole looked old. I wanted to leave the bowl right there, but I was on my way home from work and so tired. I get to the car, open the bowl and the rice was stale and the entire dish was disgusting. I walk in for a refund and they happily issued a cash refund. This place is a disgrace. read more

EVERY TIME I place an online order, at least one of the meals is incorrect. The last time I ordered 3 meals and not one was right. One of them was so SEVERELY wrong, we didn't even know who it was supposed to belong to. Yes, I realize there are stickers with names on each- that's how messed up the order was. My daughter HATES corn salsa. It's never on her order and yet it's always in her bowl. They constantly add items that weren't ordered AND neglect to add items that WERE. This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. I was driving from Detroit to Niagra Falls and stayed overnight in Independence, OH. While there, I thought I'd grab some tacos from Chipotle. BAD IDEA. It was hard to find as it's in a strip mall away from the main street and the sign is in a different font and typeface than other Chipotle. Once I found it, I was disappointed to see that everything was going wrong on the line (out of pico de gallo, couldn't figure out how to put guacamole on items, etc.) and the people that worked there were either fake friendly or seemed to be lost. When my turn came, I ordered 3 soft tacos and a bowl. The lady working the meat station was annoying and a bit menacing. All I wanted on my items was pico de gallo, salsa roja, cheese and guacamole. I was told that they were out of pico de gallo and it would be at least 20 minutes until more was made. *blank stare* A cashier offered a pre-packed plastic pico de gallo and we moved on. The lady adding the toppings used a knife to portion tiny bits of guacamole onto each taco. When I asked for a bit more, the lady doing the meat came over and put some guacamole into a plastic container. *blank stare* When I told her that I wanted it on my food she told me that this was ensured that I got the guacamole I was paying for. When I asked why she couldn't just put it on my food, she glared at me so I let it go. I wanted to leave so I forgot to ask for salsa roja. =( When I went to pay, the lady rang me up for TWO orders of guacamole however I didn't recognize it until I was already in my room. I go here pretty often as I work in the area. It's a good location but always extremely busy during lunch time so mobile order ahead to skip the line, you'll be very happy you did. Usually they give good portions but on multiple visits they've forgotten the vinaigrette for the salad or a bag of chips. Frustrating because you have to wait by the registers until someone has a free moment. Overall it's a good place and the food is always fresh and delicious, just be sure to check your order before you leave if you mobile order! read more

I was charged for food that I didn't receive, the cashier took my card out of my hand and charged it without asking me if I wanted anything to drink. I didn't receive any napkins or silverware. What's NOT to love about Chipotle? This one gives a TON of food (without you asking for it). It's awesome! I got my usual chicken (salad) bowl with white rice, fajitas, pico de gallo, hot salsa, corn, lettuce, and cheese. $6.50 including tax for the bowl, and it can almost be shared by two people! Normally I don't write reviews for fast food places but with time to kill today I just couldn't resist writing about this little gem of a place in Independence. It's the Chipotle closest to work so we are pretty much obligated to go there every other week. For the life of me though I cannot figure out why the chicken burritos here taste awful compared to other locations. I've been to three other Chipotle's in the city and they are all well stocked and taste excellent. The chicken at this location always... ALWAYS... tastes burnt. No not just a little singed on the edges... I'm saying it tastes like they scraped the charred residue off the grill and dumped it right into your burrito burnt. Plus they are always out of something like sour cream, or chicken, or steak, or chips, or tomato salsa... it's always something. Don't know what the manager there is thinking to allow his location to run out of something basic like chicken or sour cream an hour before the lunch rush starts on a weekday. This is the Independence location and it is just like all the others IMO. Big fan of fresh and healthful foods so I love Chipotle. But this location does get an added kudos from me since I am on crutches temporarily and the cashier was more than willing to help me by carrying my food to a table and offering to get me napkins. read more

It's Chipotle - how bad can it be? My burritos are always tasty, the employees are friendly, and I get something to eat that is the size of a baby. I try to avoid this place around lunch or 5-6:30 as there is a rather long line. The worst that has ever happened to me was when the employees ask if I mind if they make some more ingredient fresh - oh no! The horror! How dare they! Oh and I think once they were out of guac (which I do love their guacamole). You would think since Chipotle is a chain you would get the same food at any location but I will disagree. Some locations have super gross dining rooms and others are a little short with toppings. This one is the goldilocks of Chipotles - it gets it just right. I've even seen some customers clearly taking out their lousy day or bad hair on the nice employees, and those employees don't roll their eyes. I would be biting my tongue to not say something rude back, so I don't know how they do it. read more

This is one of the best Chipotles in the area -- even during the lunch hour when there's a long line. They move you through very quickly and efficiently, while still being friendly and accurate with your order. The venue itself is very clean, and it's easy to walk in straight to the register if you've placed a pickup order. I just picked up lunch, and as usual, the food was fresh. I even tried the queso finally, nervous after all of the bad reviews... but actually, it wasn't bad! Overall, all well-managed location. read more

Usually I am a big chipotle advocate. I have been to this location once before and did not had issues, however, it was relatively busy then. Today it was not, and I'm extremely disappointed by my food. Fast food is fast food, and I'm not one to complain, but both my boyfriend and I'd chicken was so overcooked that we were unable to eat it. Unfortunately we took it to go and did not realize it, so we were unable to go back. If this was a $2 McDonalds sandwich, I would not be upset, but Chipotle is relatively expensive for fast food and considering we didn't take more than 2 or 3 bites of our food, we were out around $18 we couldn't taken across the street to Wendy's. read more
