DONT EAT HERE!!! The WORST Chipotle I've ever been to. I live near here, and every single time I've gone here, it's been terrible. Smaller portions than other Chipotle's, always awful service. I come back every couple months, hoping it will get better, or management would change or improve. But nevertheless, always filthy, terrible service and small portions. I love Chipotle. The fact that they use fresh, local ingredients is why I keep coming back. I'm convinced that you can taste the difference. This is GOOD food. I see a few people here that complained about the speed. I usually stop by early evening and it's fine, but if you come during dinner or lunch there can be a wait. It is that way at each Chipotle I've visited. But they let you order online and pick up, so if you're in a rush that works great to skip the line. Thank you for being here Chipotle! read more

The steak is so burnt that the entire bowl tastes charred. Ruined the whole bowl. Lettuce was brown. Just not good.

I no longer recommend this chipotle. The employees were very rude, and the rice was not even cooked through all the way. Very disappointing!

Warning to fellow Independence Chipotle lovers: their chicken supplier has changed and the quality is affected. There is a sign indicating this on the sneeze guard by the burrito press. Look for the sign when you are in line; if the sign has been removed, then the supplier might be back to normal. You might want to go with carnitas until then. My friend and I both ordered the chicken and noticed the difference. It was fattier, for sure! read more

Been here probably 15 times and always had awesome service and food. The staff is super fast. I remember I even remarked to them that it was like watching a military operation the way they communicate up and down the assembly line and with the cook in the back. They'll even acknowledge that they heard a request from another employee if they are in the middle of something else but just about to get to it. Once my burrito tore a tiny bit and they called my attention to it and asked if I would like a new tortilla. I said no it's fine since I'll hold it in the foil anyhow but it was nice to ask. After she rolled it in foil she put a big arrow saying 'tear' so I knew which side it was on. It's bizarre to me that other yelpers seem to have such an opposite experience in this aspect. And of course the actual food is crave inducing. I really do crave chipotle. And it never disappoints. In my opinion the barbacoa is by far the best meat choice. And I always get the sauted peppers and onions. read more

Only reason I order from this one is because it is close to work. This is the second time they have forgotten the salad dressing when ordering a salad. Just got off the phone with Margaret from the store and she stated that unless specified, the dressing does not come with. First off, I reviewed my order prior to submitting and there was dressing asked for. Second, There actually isn't a check box for this in their online ordering site. It shows up once you get to the review portion of the order before you submit. Margaret then asked if I wanted the whole salad remade or just the dressing. I said just the dressing. She then stated that I could come in at a later time to pick it up. I said I would be on my way now to pick up dressing. I have even attached an picture of my order that shows the dressing was supposed to be included. I would retrain Margaret on her customer service skills are her tone of voice was harsh as if I was inconveniencing her. read more

When I showed up the line was not to bad. There were only 10 people in front of me and it only took about 15 minutes to order. I got white sticky sushi roll rice, burnt chicken and tomatoes. I was about to roll with some guac but it was starting to turn a little brown. The chips on the other hand were good. Overall it was a great experience if you want to talk above entering and leaving the restaurant. The doors worked good with little noise. read more

First time I went to this one since I was in the area. And I'm disappointed. My rice was overcooked, and meat was very dry. Plus there was only two people eating in the dining room. Pop machine was full of carbonation and I told the employees and they just ignored me. I will not be coming back to this one. I will be going to the one closer to home. read more

The whole point of having Internet ordering is so your food is ready when you arrive and you don't waste time waiting around. They gave me a time to arrive. I showed up and waited at the register. The gal ran my receipt and the walked down so they would start making my meal...hmmm. Shouldn't it be ready?l. Then as they are making my burrito they inform me they don't have guacamole but if I wanted to wait 5 minutes I could get it. Otherwise they would take it off my bill. Oops scratch that, they already ran the check and can't take it off. But they CAN offer me a coupon for...wait for it...FREE GUACAMOLE and chips. Which presumably I can't actually get for another 5 or 10 minutes. So I left with time wasted, an incomplete meal and a coupon for guacamole I can't get. Wow. read more

This is one of two Chipotle restaurants that I enjoy frequenting. My meals are usually made right on target with how I ask for them to be made. The staff is friendly and many of them remember me when I come in to eat. I bring my family here once every 1-2 weeks as a special treat. The food is fresh and delicious. The restaurant is usually pretty clean - the lunch and dinner rushes wreak havoc on the cleanliness rating. I enjoy talking with the employees that walk the dining area and clean. read more

There was an error with my online order, it wasn't received when I picked up for myself and a co-worker. Her order was ready, but mine was showing no record. The manager Jeremy O. was Johnny on the spot. He rapidly searched for every possible error to rectify the situation and the place was extremely busy. He jumped right in to smooth things out and make sure I was taken care of. He found a prior order and completed my meal himself as to prevent any further delay. Ultimately he produced my order with a smile and a sincere apology. read more

I grew up in Independence, Ohio it's a more upscale community, but this Chipotle is not. The first time I went there, the burrito was about 3/4 burrito and 1/4 fillings. The 2nd time I went there, same thing. The 3rd and my final time ever going there, my son literally bit into a fully intact brown tree leaf. I watched as everything was scooped and didn't see the leaf so it had to be in with the double steak. How does that happen? Sickening! I'm not downing Chipotle, I love it, just not the standards of this location. read more

Every chipotle has great food! Unfortunately this one is super slow, it's roughly 15-20 minute wait between 10:30am and 2:00pm. So if your lucky enough to have an hour lunch break go here, if not try the chipotle by transportation blvd. read more

I went out there to eat lunch with old friends there the food there is good, but not as excellent as the one in Crocker Park.

Bad location. I went to this location at 11:20am (before rush hour) and was told they were out of chicken, out of steak and that it would be 20 minutes before either would be ready. How can you be out of key ingredients on a weekday at a location were lunchtime is the busiest time of day. I can't wait until the Brecksville location opens up. Hopefully new management will make a difference. read more

I have been to Chipotle locations in 6 states. This location is the second worst location I have been to. The worst being close by in Parma, OH. First, I have not seen one of the employees smile yet. The employees are also slow and don't think ahead. There is no sense of urgency. During my visit a few days ago the line was stopped while about 5 people waited for chicken. The employee working the grill was taking her time to put gloves on and slowly cut the chicken as if no one was waiting on her. She was moving like cold molasses. Once finished cutting the chicken, she put it in the container and left it there on the counter without saying anything. It took a bit for the other employee who was supposed to be serving people to realize the chicken was ready. During my visit today, the line moved slow as usual but at least it wasn't very long. When it was my turn to order, I ordered a steak bowl. That is when the employee working the line realized that he was out of steak. Not low on steak, but the container was completely empty. That is when he asked for more steak. The girl in the back, same grill worker as my last visit, disappeared in the back and returned to put the steak on the grill to start cooking! Nothing was said to me, I had to ask if that was the steak I was waiting for. Instead of informing me and apologizing, I had to ask. I didn't feel like waiting and I didn't feel like giving my money to them so I left. Terrible customer service. 11/4/15 Update: Once again after waiting patiently in line, I asked for a steak bowl only for the employee to realize they were out of steak. And again, they hadn't even started grilling more yet. At least this time I was told it would be a 10 min wait and the employee apologized as I walked away. I don't understand why this has not been fixed, its not a hard concept to understand. read more

This location used to be pretty good but as of late the service has really gone down hill. It seems like the good employees don't stay long. A few months ago I witnessed a young man pick up a box full of supplies from the floor for another female employee . That was nice of him seeing as though he was also the first person working the food line. After he picked up the box he then proceeded to ask me if I wanted a burrito or bowl. He still had on the same plastic gloves as he reached for a tortilla. I immediately stopped him to remind him he still had on the same gloves. He turned around to wash his hands and a group of employees gathered around him and started whispering and pointing. I'm sorry for letting him know I didn't want dirt in my food I guess. With the exception of a couple, most employees working the food line appear to be miserable and don't dare ask them to make your bowl a specific way. Lastly every online order I have ever placed with my coworkers have been totally incorrect in one form or another. I will probably not be returning to this location. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My friend and I were heading home from running errands and we were starving. Placed an order online because we had my 9 month old baby in the car with us and we were all exhausted so we wanted to run in, grab our food, and go. We showed up 5 minutes after the time our food was supposed to be ready thinking we gave plenty enough time for our food to be done. My friend waited for our food for 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready! In the meantime I had to drive around the parking lot with my daughter who had woken up and was crying. I work for a restaurant and therefore grant a lot of forgiveness when things don't go smoothly when I go out, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully this location learns from the mistakes made tonight and does a better job in the future. read more

This place has really gone down hill. Stopped by on a Friday at 7pm. I placed my order and while waiting a got a good look at it. It was filthy Stacks of empty containers on the counter food everywhere floor dirty. The guy before me ordered sour cream on the side and they forgot to put it in his bag so they gave it to me. This location has the worst employees. I haven't been back in about 2 months, so maybe they have new employees now.. doubt it. I live near this Chipotle so it is the most convenient location for me. I was going to this Chipotle about 3-4 times a month for the past year. The employees are obnoxious, goofing around with one another and arguing with one another. They are not professional. Not so much a complaint but a question as to why this is the only location where I am charged for a dressing to placed on my burrito. I called corpora an they stared that I should not be charged for any extra toppings. Just wondering why I am being charged at this location only for the vinegarette. When I asked the lady behind the counter she stated it was a new corporate policy but when my wife calls corporate they tell her that she should not be charged for it. Chipotle use to give ya more but it is still a good value. That said, my last visit did not work out to well. I got my to go order and was going to leave, but realized I did not use my coupon. I asked the cashier to refund me. But after she spoke with the manager, he had the cashier tell me "we can't give you a refund because we will get a mark against us for having a refund". As a repeat customer to Chipotle and a former food service employee I understand the struggle of maintaining food quality and temperature, along with serving it in a timely manner. On the other hand know that "delays" in service have a polite and efficient way to be fixed. Yesterday afternoon (around 2pm on 02/08/2014) I entered your Chipotle location with the delight of not having to wait in line. There were very few people sitting in the restaurant, but I noticed that there were a lot of employees working behind the counter. At one point, I actually saw as many as 9 employees in the back. This was shocking when I learned that the line was out of both types of rice, steak, and had one serving of fajitas left. Like I said before, I worked in food service for a long period of my school years and know the struggle of the business so; I gave the cooks the benefit of the doubt. I remembered seeing the same cook the day before (I had been to this location two days in a row) and remembered her not being one of the most "gracious" people during my first experience and today was no exception. She is a small, African American, female with bright red hair and had smarted off to the line worker the night before (with a line full of people right in front of her) that she "... was not going to make no more chicken." Letting that go when she did comply and make the product (that maybe she needs to be reminded, we (the CUSTOMERS) are paying her to make.) there were no more issues. As I said before, she was most certainly not alone in the kitchen on the 8th and she also did not care how rude she was being when she was talking to the line workers. Now, there were three females on the line (two African American and one Caucasian). We asked how long on the white rice, and the Caucasian line cook asked the red haired cook. As she was cutting steak she looked up and snapped, "I don't know" made extremely rude eye contact with me then looked away. The line cook then looked at me and said "It does no good to even argue with her." As we stood and waited for rice (there are now about 5 people in line) the red haired cook had no since of urgency in preparing the product and took her sweet old time. The first rice to come up was brown rice. Although I normally don't get brown rice, by this time I had been waiting at the front of the line for 5 minutes and really had no choice in what rice I got. The first line cook had already put brown rice in my bowl and said, "brown rice is ok, right?" for the sake of the people in line behind me and having to wait another 5 minutes, I went with it. As I took the last serving of fajitas I looked up to see that there were none in the pan cooking (even though the line had asked for it 2 times since I had been there). The next line cook (had gauges in her ears) apologized many times for things that were not her fault while she finished up our bowls, and then, after 10 minutes made our way to cash out. But, wait! There was no cashier! As the line cook called for the cashier she replied "shut up, I'm coning" At this point, I laughed out loud. These workers have no idea what customer service means, and they have very little idea of how to communicate in front of the public. read more
