Tried Blue Habanero for the first time, our waitress was great! Sadly I didn't catch her name but a very sweet, spunky lady. They have great freshly made margaritas and I even tried their soft serve margarita which was delicious!! Ordered the nachos which were decent and would have again. Alternatively, I was not a fan of the entree which was the shrimp enchiladas. Not super flavorful, shrimp was a little rubbery, and the tortilla was very grainy and not my favorite. Overall probably would go again for margs and nachos but wouldn't come back necessarily for the food. read more

Stopped into Blue Habanero for a quick lunch and were really impressed. We ordered the Pineapple Habanero Margarita and the Mango Margarita which both came out flaming and tasted incredibly fresh. Such a fun presentation and great flavor. For food, we tried the BBQ Pork Tacos and the Al Pastor Bowl, and honestly we couldn't say enough good things about either dish. Everything was flavorful and really well done. The only small surprise was that chips and salsa weren't included automatically, but they were only $3 if you want to add them, which isn't bad. The service was amazing! Our server seemed genuinely passionate, happy, and excited about the food, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be going back! read more

Im mildly obsessed with this place. The margaritas come out with a little sugar cube fire!! It makes my whole experience. The tacos are big and really delicious. You get 3 of them and I can never eat them all. They have great Mexican street corn dip, queso, and a lot of gluten free options. The service is always super friendly no matter who you get. Most Mexican restaurants have delicious soups that simmer all day so that the flavors of the herbs, veggies, and meat melds. The "sopa azteca" at this restaurant consisted of Mexican rice and shredded unseasoned chicken served in a chicken broth base and garnished with pico de gallo. There were no herbs infused into the soup. There were no fresh vegetables such as zucchini or carrot. The soup had so little flavor that I had to add salt and pepper! The margarita flight was tasty. Food all had good taste. The nachos was our favorite. My rice and chicken was 18 bucks and only a half a plate of it was a little disappointing. Same with this lettuce side. Tasted good but it wasn't worth 18 bucks. Other Mexican restaurants service twice as much portion for 5 bucks less. Burrito my wife got was good but half way through she pulled a hair out. I looked back in the kitchen and didn't see many people wearing hair restraints or hats either so that explains that. They did take off bill which was nice. Nachos were best part of the whole meal. The server who waited on us was a younger guy and did a good job. He checked on us frequently and was quick about anything we did ask for. Host was also very welcoming and urgent getting me a highchair. Ambience in the restaurant was probably the best part. I thought it had a very Cool vibe with the paintings on the walls. It was cold when we went, but I did see the back patio by the restrooms and it looked like a really fun place to enjoy a meal on warmer days. I also saw other tables who got alcoholic drinks, they were served with flames coming off of them. That was pretty unique. Glad we checked it out, but probably would not go back again. Main reason being the price paid relative to food quantity receive. This place did not offer complementary chips and salsa either. My hubby and I stopped here on a whim for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant was busy, clean, and beautifully decorated. We were seated right away and had our order taken soon after. We had the guacamole, which was excellent. I ordered the fish tacos. Amazing! Light fish, crunchy slaw, and can we talk about the dressing? It was spicy, creamy, and wonderful. I washed it down with a regular house margarita on the rocks. They have a secret brunch menu with $5 margaritas, guys! Hubby ordered some short rib tacos. They were also very tasty, the meat was tender. We also ordered a piece of the tres leches cake, which was very good. The service was great and very attentive. The pricing was very reasonable. Nice Mexican decor, TV's at bar area. My husband had Carnitas Burrito, nice size, & he said it was quite good. I chose the appetizer quesadilla, which was one steak & one chicken. I asked if I cud sub carnitas for the steak & was told no problem. I wasn't told there wud be an up charge, which was a bit shocking since I subbed the steak out for the pork. The quesadillas were very good, ok portion with salad like greens, tomato, peppers salsa like on side & sour cream. The Negro Modelo was nice and cold. We came here for a work celebration and left extremely disappointed. My meal arrived cold, and while the drinks looked nice, that was the only positive. The worst part came at the end. My coworker ordered a Tres Leches to go, and when it arrived, there was a large patch of mold on it. She pointed it out to the waiter, who took it to the manager--who was sitting at a table and looked over with a smirk, as if acknowledging it but without any apology or concern. We wanted to go here as their location downtown Cleveland was named #1 Mexican restaurant in Cleveland!! Figured the same but in the burbs. Met and exceeded our expectations. Each dish had that added touch. Note on my picture of my sangria the edible flower along with the orange slice. Not customary to have lobster at a Mexican restaurant but I tried the Lobster Relleno. It was a poblano pepper stuffed with lobster, queso fresco, tomatillo salsa with a side of cilantro white rice. Amazing. Lobster was noticeable and not skimpy. I would have this dish again. I placed an online order for lunch for street tacos. It contains 3 tacos made the exact same way. You select the type of tortilla/shell, some toppings are extra and some are included. Well, well, well, I informed the host after being greeted that I placed an online order. The host proceeded to inform me that the chorizo is extra and the sour cream is extra and so on. He informs me that he will not charge me this time but he will the next time. I thought it was rude. After his lecture, I shared that I followed the instructions online and paid for my order. I also mentioned that he should correct the MF online software if there's a problem with the price charged. I told him that I will pay according to the advertised price and nothing more. He passed me the lunch I placed online and got back to work. The carne asada taco was bland, basic without any frills except only receiving 2 of 3 tacos as advertised. I live outside of Austin Texas and the food here is fantastic. It is not quite as hot as I am used to but the sauces are incredible. I had the shrimp and veggie enchiladas. Veggies were perfectly cooked and sauce was outstanding. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Guacamole and chip were so yummy. Home made chips just like you expect in Texas. Great guacamole. Went out to dinner with some friends. This was a solid spot. I wasn't blown away, but everything was full of flavor. An odd combo of a description but let me try to ease my initial point. Everyone really enjoyed their dinners. My tinga tacos had so much flavor and the avocado was a nice addition.The Mexican rice is a hit anywhere you go. I know the specialty drinks were also enjoyed. My friend next to me had the float of margaritas and thought that the spicy mango was a very unique one. Instead of salt around the rim, it was red pepper flakes. My wife and I went here today and it was the first time in a long time we were anywhere for happy hour. My wife loved her margarita and they had a good number of beers on tap for happy hour too. We got cicerones and chorizo cheese dip for appetizer. They were both awesome. I had the beef short rib tacos and wifey got ones that had steak, chorizo, and bacon. I visited 4 times before deciding to write this. And, there's good news and bad news. The good news is they absolutely have some very good food. The bad news is they apparently don't know how to cook chicken without making it dry and tough. This has happened 2x in a row. No thanks. The worse news, however, is after 4 times of exactly the same experience, I have to say they are clueless about customer service. Now I've been there only during lunch so perhaps it's better in the evening...but why shouldn't it be "better" all day? Yesterday I watched two women finally get up and leave because servers never bothered to approach their table. If I hadn't literally called somebody over while looking grumpy I STILL might be there waiting. Had to call someone for food, refills, and THE DAMN CHECK. Really? FWIW, I've heard anecdotally the service at the Strongsville location is much better. Good, because I sure as hell am not going back to this location. Had a fun night at the Blue Habanero in Brecksville! The Cilantro Jalapeño margaritas are FANTASTIC!! One of the best drinks I have ever had. Beautiful and delicious. Just spicy enough. My friends and I shared the salsa, queso and guacamole appetizer. I must say I was a tiny bit surprised that chips and salsa weren't just part of the meal as they are at most Mexican places. For dinner I ordered the Tinga Tacos they were fine. Nothing special extra special but I was not in any way disappointed. But the Jimaca tuna tacos were OUTSTANDING! The tuna was delicious and the seasoning was so flavorful. I highly recommend them. There was ample staff and they were very attentive. First time visiting and we will be back! For a Friday evening there was no wait for 2, we walked in and were sat immediately. The space is not very big and is pretty loud. Service was extremely fast, placed our order and food was quick to follow. Got the Trio Sampler to start which was plenty of chips and dip for us. Delicious! I had short rib tacos...loved them. They put a mix of chopped onion and cilantro, a spicy sauce..ok hot, but tasty. And pickled onions with shredded carrots. My husband had spicy chicken burrito and also loved it. We started with queso fundido, very good but a little thin, it got thicker as it cooled. It came with tortilla chips. Usually we get soft flour tortillas and either is fine. Wait staff very attentive and very pleasant. I had a blackberry margarita, minus the mint, just not a fan. A friend and I went for lunch Saturday . The place was clean and inviting and the staff was very good! All of them...we started with the chips and dips tray and all three sauces were amazing, and the chips homemade and perfect . Had the street taco meal with cilantro white rice, and my friend had same but with Mexican rice. There was more meat on one of the three tacos than most places put on three . I asked for a few lime wedges and enjoyed every bite and polished off every thing on the tray. Can not wait to go back!
