The pickup service at this Chipotle is horrific. Anytime we try to order ahead, we are waiting long past the time given. This last time they were 40 minutes behind. Only for there to be some things unavailable. The seating area is always trashed. Garbage and food crumbs everywhere. The tables are always dirty and they do not provide wipes for you to clean them. Literally just got back from standing in line for nearly 15 minutes and didn't see a single customer get their order taken because there was no one behind the counter. Not a single employee. The line did not move an inch the entire time. It was honestly kind of surreal. We started asking each other if this place was actually open for business? Some others called out "hello?" with no response. Eventually me and most of the line just walked out. Somehow every table was filthy so somebody must have gotten food at some point but not us. As we were leaving, one guy says, "I feel like we could jump back there and rob this place and there's no one to stop us." Ordered a burrito from this Chipotle through Uber Eats. Without having Uber One this burrito would have been $34. I instead paid $18. I received my burrito from my driver and that was fine. When I opened the bag to pull out the burrito, I noticed that it fit snugly in the palm of my hand. This was the smallest burrito Ive ever ordered. About 1/3 of the normal size. The extra chicken I added was no where to be found. Absolutely abominable food quality. I will never go here again. read more

The food has gotten better in the last year, but multiple times now the delivery (through the chipotle app) was cancelled without any reason. I just ordered food, waited for over an hour and then 2 minutes before my food was supposed to arrive, the driver cancelled the order with no reason listed. Every time I go there is a ridiculously long line, poor portions, and few options. One time I waited for 20 minutes to pay for my food while my bowl was ready. Other times they have no protein options or take 15+ minutes to make more rice. Don't even get me started on the drinks (there aren't any) and the trash constantly overflowing. Terrible service! I ordered two burritos, and when the employee asked which ingredient I wanted on both, I told her one at a time. She got the first one wrong and had to start over. While fixing it, she muttered, "these f***ing people." On the replacement burrito, she put the wrong meat--even though she could clearly see what I'd ordered on the first one. Instead of starting fresh, she scraped off the wrong meat and replaced it. She didn't confirm the toppings with me and got it wrong again. When I corrected her, she looked at the cashier and said, "didn't she say this is what she wanted?" At that point, I'd had enough. I said, "I'm good," and walked out. Our food was good however our experience was not good at all. By the time they got to finish my husband's burritos, it would have been cold. Granted they were very busy and I understand that, but they shouldn't have started subsequent orders until the large order was completed. Our food sat there on the counter ( very messy with food scraps) as they completed the big order. I have suggested the owner of this franchise should have their franchise pulled. Now I hear (not sure if is true) that this location is actually not a franchise, but owned and run by corporate HQ. If this is true, this location is an utter embarrassment to the company. I feel sorry for anyone that works there. By comparison, I went into a different fast food chain (that specializes in chicken) the previous day in Rochester. There we found an alert and friendly staff (if diverse age and culture) that provided fast service with seemingly sincere smiles. I can only assume the chicken places pays their staff and managers well. Chipotle... I love the simple model of a simple, relatively healthy menu. Almost all tables had dirty food on them, the floor under the tables was dirty, and there was even toilet paper on the floor outside the restrooms. I suggested to the cashier that they might want to clean it, and she said they were too busy. But it also makes me wonder how clean the kitchen and other work areas are- perhaps they are too busy to clean those as well. Looked on the Tompkins County Heath site and see they were hit with several heath violations last month, including a "critical" one for not having the food at the right temperature. Eat here at your own risk. Edit: As you can see below, there is a bot that asks me to contact Chipotle. Their response via email was, "we will ensure the leadership team is aware of this issue." Clearly they contact this location's leadership team all the time, and the leadership team has determined they don't care, based on the volume of one star reviews. This Chipotle is an absolute disaster and an embarrassment to the franchise. As someone who frequents Chipotle locations regularly and typically enjoys the experience, this particular location is beyond abysmal. Since starting college nearby, I've regrettably found myself visiting this Chipotle weekly, only to be met with consistent disappointment and frustration. If zero stars were an option, this place wouldn't even earn a fraction of one. Let's start with the food: it's a masterclass in culinary failure. Every item on the menu is cooked horribly wrong, these employees manage to overcook the food into inedible dryness and undercook it to the point of being unsafe at the same time, truly remarkable. The ingredients are never fresh, with empty containers frequently sitting out for extended periods. On more than one occasion, my colleagues and I have had to choose between settling for an item I didn't want or waiting an eternity for something to be replenished. And for what? Bland, unseasoned food that somehow manages to be both disgusting and inedible. The meat is consistently fatty, poorly prepared, and not even cut into manageable pieces. It's honestly insulting. The employees? It's hard to tell if they're undertrained, understaffed, or simply don't care--but the results are horrifying. Sometimes I wonder if this Chipotle is a government test subject where the government tests different substances such as crack and fentanyl on people and throws them into a work environment to see how they perform. Orders are consistently wrong, bowls are skimped on to the point of being laughable, and the pace of service is agonizingly slow. It feels like everytime I come here the lines get longer and move slower. Even the simplest tasks, like wrapping a burrito or refilling a topping, seem like Herculean efforts for this team. They act as if serving food is a personal punishment, rather than their job. The facility itself is an absolute nightmare. Overflowing trash cans, filthy counters, and tables smeared with remnants of previous meals make it clear that cleanliness isn't even an afterthought here. The atmosphere is so unpleasant that it makes dining an exercise in misery. If anyone is feeling hopeless about their life, like they could never amount to anything, visit this Chipotle, and you'll walk out feeling like a shining example of competence compared to this mess. The inefficiency and dysfunction here are to the extreme, until this Chipotle gets new management, proper training, and a serious overhaul, avoid it at all costs. This was the worst meal I've ever received. I ordered through GrubHub and not only did it take forever to arrive, but when it arrived the order was completely incorrect. I ordered a bowl with white rice, pinto beans, cheese, lettuce, and guac. What I received instead was a bowl with white rice, BLACK beans, SOFRITAS, cheese, lettuce, SOUR CREAM, and FRESH TOMATO SALSA. Not to mention that it looked terrible put together. Placed a catering order 5 days in advance and the delivery over 2 hours late. First status call they reported it was on its way; second time I called over an hour later they sent me to regional catering who said they were waiting on the steak to finish. Shortly after doordash called to share the store was slightly delayed - when I corrected that it was 2 hours late they hung up on me. Spent almost $700 and food delivers 2hours after the event - rediculous! Once food arrived to guac was over half brown along with one of the containers of lettuce and the tortillas were clumped together, very difficult to separate. This is the WORST Chipotle I've ever been to in my entire life. The food itself is average, tastes like every other Chipotle location. But what stands out compared to other locations is their utter lack of quality service. Being the only Chipotle nearby, I've given them numerous chances and they've failed literally every single time. I go in-person, the line is stupidly long. I finally reach the front where I can place an order, the employees are extremely stingy. They scooped beans and poured some out before placing it in my bowl because it was too much. They serve food as if it's personally coming out of their paycheck. To avoid the long wait time, I've tried scheduling a pick-up. 1. The order is never ready by the scheduled time. I can be patient and wait longer, but their "running behind schedule" is at least 45 minutes to an hour additional wait time. 2. The order is LITERALLY written and they still get it wrong every single time. Wrong protein, small quantity, never get the guac I PAY ADDITIONAL FOR. I then try again and have it delivered for a scheduled time. I place the order and then pushed back my order to SEVERAL hours later. Whether you order in person, for pick-up, or for delivery, this location will always fall short. I don't blame the employees for this AT ALL because I know how much it sucks to work a crazy busy minimum wage job. And I know they're not getting paid enough for what they put up with when dealing with customers or management. But I'm begging you, please stop taking out your anger towards your job on my burrito or bowl!!!! I blame management, and someone needs to get it together to actually lead this location. Fast food provides consistent mediocre food, and this Chipotle can't even manage that. I will not waste more money on this location and won't be returning. We waited over an hour to order and the one employee working the line looked like he was going to have a breakdown. There should have been 3 employees working that line at peak rush hour. The was another employee working a separate line in the kitchen to fulfill the online orders. She was completely overwhelmed too. The people waiting for online orders waited longer than we did to get their food. The only other employee in the restaurant was working in the kitchen keeping the food bins stocked. No one was cleaning the dining room (or anything else) and it got pretty dirty and gross. Imagine a restaurant full of unhappy people, including the employees--that is what I witnessed. No burrito is worth that kind of wait or experience. I'm honestly surprised I didn't witness someone completely lose it and yell at the staff. If Chipotle cannot properly staff this restaurant, they need to shut off online orders. Period. I want to reiterate that the problems I've encountered are not the employees fault, they are completely overwhelmed with the order volume, which no short-staffed team would have been able to handle any better. By far the worst chipotle I have ever been to, rice was an abominable mix of overcooked and undercooked grains. I found several full sized bay leaves in my meal. Chipotle corporate this store is a rotting apple. 46 minutes was my wait time in line at this location I walk in the door approximately at 1:30pm and was checking out at 2:16pm. The dining area was trashed and i didn't feel comfortable eating in the store. I did watch 2 people eating and making a mess then switched to a different table and made more of a mess. In my time in line not 1 employee came out to tidy up the dining area at all. The main line was being worked by 1 employee. When I walked in the line was to the front door. The lady working the line was supposed to go home, but she was trying to get the line helped. I said "if you're beyond your shift it's overtime " she told me they get in trouble for overtime. Another note you shouldn't be running out of rice EVER. This store has been the only one of many I have gone to the ran out of RICE. Only choice was brown rice, which I despise.
