    Bacon Cheeseburger

$12 for this piece of bullshit and it was supposed to come with cheese as well, thanks five guys

Grilled cheese cheeseburger, Little Cajun Fries, and an Oreo Milkshake.

I ordered a grilled cheese cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and an Oreo milkshake. The milkshake was great (had lots of Oreo in it), the fries were ok because they were kind of cold. However, I was expecting much more from the burger. Although the ingredients( vegetables) are very fresh, the patty itself has no flavor at all. This in turn makes the but very bland. Would go back for the milkshake alone.

Talk about the greatest rip off in Ithaca. i went there with my granddaughter today and it was slow. My granddaughter ordered a double cheeseburger and milk shake it cost 17.00.What! It took over 20 minutes to get her order. I did not eat because a cheeseburger, small fries and bottle of water along with my granddaughters cost $35.00. What???? Plus the place is dirty. I am so upset. Why play these prices when there are much better places to eat here in Ithaca that don't rob you. A picture of a crappy meal that cost a small fortune. Don't waste your time or money.

Horrible food and customer service. Disappointed! the camillus one is way better in Syracuse.

Five Guys - right in the same plaza as Northside Wine & Spirits [how convenient]!

I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else for a quick burger ... I'll even dare to say that it's better than Shake Shack in NYC [to the potential horror of all the students in Ithaca that are from the city]! Mainly because less than $10 will get you plenty of food for one person w/tons of delicious fries left over. =) I was so excited to try Five Guys for the very first time - right here in Ithaca, on their opening day! I heard some mixed reviews from friends about this place in different cities, but I was quite impressed with the quality of their burgers & fresh-cut fries! For the cost ($8-10 for a HUGE one-person meal), I think it's a really good deal: you get to choose whatever toppings/condiments you want (and as many as you want) on your burger, from jalapeños to grilled mushrooms. Plus a regular sized fry could very well feed 2-3 people ... especially when you have a giant burger to finish! The Cajun fries had a kick, but were even good as leftovers for the next week! A regular burger comes with 2 patties, but I thought the mini (one patty) with all the fixings + sharing fries with my other two friends, and a drink, was more than enough for a meal. I'll be back there soon, since all my friends keep wanting to go!

I was lucky enough to have a friend invite me to the Five Guys "Friends & Family" training night, right before Five Guys opened in Ithaca, and they're off to a fantastic start! Five Guys focuses on just hamburgers, hot dogs, and french fries, and they pride themselves on quality and fresh ingredients. There's even a sign to tell you where today's potatoes came from. (Tonight's were from Sugar City, Idaho.) The burgers are all in the $3-6 range, a large fries will easily feed three, and it'll be easy to feed the family for $5-8 per person. For a meal at fast-food prices, this is outstanding. The burger's top-notch, and the hand-cut fries are hot and crisp. (The Cajun ones have a real kick, too.) I've written more at 14850 Dining, and definitely encourage everyone to visit Five Guys. http://dining.14850.com/reviews/r_fiveguys.html

Heid's has that old-school, cafeteria-style setup where you go down the line to get your food. It's simple, classic, and honestly gives me Happy Days vibes. The menu is straight comfort food--hot dogs, chicken tenders, Philly cheesesteaks, sausages with peppers and onions, and more. They also have deserts like brownies, cookies & chocolate cake. They do server beer and have lots of fountain drink options as well. I got a Gianelli sausage with cheese fries and chili. Ummm --it was so good. The fries could've used just a little more salt and pepper, but that sausage hit the spot. My mom got a sausage with cheese fries and macaroni salad and loved it. No complaints here! Next door is Sweet Treats, their ice cream stand, and it's the perfect way to end your meal. They've got soft serve, hard ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, flurries--you name it. My mom got a raspberry-lime sherbet twist, and I went all in with cookie dough chocolate chip ice cream mixed with vanilla, topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup. So refreshing and delicious. If you are ever in the Syracuse/Liverpool area, I definitely recommend trying Heid's at least 3 times in your life. It's affordable, family-friendly, and full of nostalgia. They also have live bands on Wednesdays, car shows, outdoor seating, and community events for kids throughout the year. Definitely tastes exactly the way I remember. If you do decide to try out Heid's, leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it!

He also managed their business as their personal banker. So of course we had to come here to have a hot dog at this joint while we are visiting New York. It's cool that this joint was established in 1917. We are eating at a landmark of Liverpool. Walking in the front, there's a huge menu board to check out. We all walked in and ordered. It is a little crowded in the ordering area. There's not a lot of space between the wall and the counter. We ordered quite a few things. Of course we had to try everything. I really wanted to try the hot dogs but they gave veal in them. I just can't wrap my head around the veal. So, tonight I ordered the sausage with onions and peppers, onion rings and fries. Everything was cooked right in front of us while we were waiting. Everything on the grill looked so good! We loaded up our trays with our goodies after it was all cooked and headed to the dining area. I added some mustard and ketchup to my sausage. The onions and peppers were sautéed nicely. The sausage was tasty but dry. I ate about half and was over it. I didn't eat it with the roll, it was just too much. The onion rings were my favorite! I love the beer batter that they use. I dipped that onion ring in a side of cheese sauce, fantastic! The fries were good as well. And yes, they are even better dipped in cheese sauce. My husband smashed both of his chili and cheese dogs. He washed everything down with their chocolate milk. I had a sip of it and it's super chocolatey! It was neat to eat here today. I got to see what my father in law was a part of when he was Heid's personal banker. And eat what he used to eat when he was young. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I really enjoyed the onion rings with the cheese sauce. If we ever make it back to New York, I'm pretty sure we will be here again. I'm looking forward to it.

Lil Red Caboose is one of the few lunch/dinner spots in the small town of Clyde, New York. It's located on a corner street, on the way to Sodus Point. It's a outside seating, small stand. The Lil Red Caboose offers a variety of different meals such as Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, French Fries, Sausages, Mozzarella sticks, and of course, the Zwiegles Pop-open Hot-Dogs! I stopped by and picked up a meal I remembered having when I was younger, fried mozzarella sticks and a Red Zwiegles Pop-open Hot Dog. I picked up a order number and took a sit in their outside tables. The ambiance was so relaxing, surrounded by greenery with the sound of nature. The meal was out in about 15 minutes. There was [5] Mozzarella Sticks, thick and filled with cheese. It came hot off the deep fryer and the Zwiegles red-hot dog was cooked to perfection, not too burnt with just a slight crisp to it. The food was delicious! With the Zwiegles, typically you fill up the pop-open hot dogs with onions and peppers to enhance the flavor. Sauces were on the house. The meal came out to be $5.50, quite reasonably for the quality and quantity for food!

Yes, I know we all love Hoffmann and it is sacrilegious to say other wise. But here me out. Owner Tim makes all his menu items from scratch! His hotdogs, sausage patties, and sausage links! Oh, his condiments are all his creation as well. Ketchup , mustard, and relish all made from scratch by Tim! I asked Tim what he recommended I try on my first visit. He said definitely the chili dog. I was glad I did! Tim has a mixture of brisket and pork that he grinds, puts in a casing and then smokes. He than warms it back up on a flat top griddle at the stand. You definitely taste all the flavors that went into creating this dog! Thoughts after the first bite? Meaty and smoke! It's definitely one of a kind when you think of a hotdog. You definitely get that meat flavor with a hint of smokiness. The chili is meat based and sweet which blends in beautifully with the dog. The homemade mustered added a spice with a small kick. Complimenting the spice was the ketchup with hints of brown sugar sweetness and vinegar. Tim was a pretty cool guy to meet. Proud of his food and pretty chill wearing tie-dye and listening to some Dead tunes.
