I showed up at the River City location today and decided to get 3 tacos instead of my usual bowl. I really wanted to taste the Hot Honey Chicken. I asked for a 'little bit' of rice and beans but got that whole spoon full which left little room for the chicken. I told the server that it was too much of the beans, he seemed to ignore me. It seems that when it came to the chicken that spoonful that he was so eager to distribute seemed more like a teaspoon full of meet. When I got home and picked up one of the tacos, it fell apart and all that could be seen was rice and mostly beans. I could barely see the chicken let alone taste it. O decided to call the store manager and spoke with Meagan and told her about my my wet bean laden taco. She apologized and said I could come back but I was already at home. She said I could still come back and ask for a side and to tell them Meagan said to do so. I appreciate the gesture but I really don't eat out a lot. Why can't people just do their job with some kind of pride or just some plain ol' common sense. It will probably be a while before I go back and I probably won't just ask for a side of meat. However, if my food is not made properly, I will stop that server and make sure that he or she makes it so. Where's the Meat???!!! read more

I have to say the food was good as always and the portions were surprisingly fair (like the old days). However I find it mind blowing that they would be out of steak, making about 5 guests ahead of us step aside to wait "15 minutes or so." Thankfully chicken was sufficient for us, so we got to cut the line. I wanted to continue on our road trip, but my crew wanted to stay to eat, but finding a clean enough table was basically impossible. So overall, management might need to step in and do a little more training, but they conquered the food, which is the most important part. read more

This was my first meal of the day and I was hungry. I chose the location because it's near my dentist. When I arrived the line was fairly long and the restaurant looked as though it just finished a rush as the tables hadn't been cleaned. It had been a while since I'd eaten at Chipotle so I had questions. Let me say the staff were very helpful in answering my questions and even making suggestions. There were 2 main staff and a cashier on the front line. They were busy! I ordered a salad bowl with honey mustard chicken and regular drink. It was delicious, I felt I needed to eat something green but after speaking with the server I added rice. Seriously the 2 front line staff that made my meal were awesome. It was a girl and guy, can't praise them enough. I think the front of the restaurant was so junky because they were short staffed, the manager did an interview while I was there. There were people waiting in line the whole time I was there. Lots of mobile pickups. The manage seemed to be handling the mobile, she was working too! The music was club type music and may have been a bit loud for me but nothing to truly complain about. read more

I honestly don't even know why I keep coming back to this place. This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had at Chipotle. The rice was undercooked and hard, the guacamole was already turning black, and they didn't even have pico de gallo available. On top of that, the food tasted off--almost like vinegar, old and poorly handled. It genuinely felt like nothing was fresh. What made it worse is that the manager was the one who served me. I ordered two meals to go, thinking at least the service would be better--but when I got home and opened the containers, I was beyond disappointed. I ended up throwing away $30 worth of food. This location seriously needs a complete reset. Someone needs to step in, check the kitchen, supervise the food preparation, and make sure basic quality standards are being met. It's frustrating because I've always loved Chipotle--it's one of my favorite restaurants--but this experience was a huge letdown read more

The line was out the front of people waiting. Then we went to pay and the girl said there was no ice for drinks. I asked if the drinks in the fountain were cold and she said yes. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon (Mar 8). My husband went out to the restroom before we ordered. When we came out, he said that the restroom was filthy and worse than a truck stop. It made him wonder how the employees were washing their hands. We also noticed that the drink counter was dirty, the food prep area needed cleaning, and all of the trash cans by the door were full and overflowing. So we left without ordering anything. I've been to several Chipotle Mexican Grills and I'm a fan. This one is no different. Being a plant based consumer I know if a Chipotle is nearby I can find something flavorful and tasty for lunch or dinner that's not a salad. I ordered a sofrita bowl with rice and beans, some spicy salsa and lettuce. It was assembled quickly and tasted great. I added chips to my order which were nice and crispy. They do have some outdoor seating which is nice when it's not Florida hot and sticky. The service was good albeit slightly slow but it seemed they were in the middle of restocking. read more

Virtually every time I come here they're out of something important -- today it was chicken and white rice. During the height of the dinner hour, there was a long line gathered because everyone was waiting for them to cook more chicken. This is at least the third or fourth time I've experienced this. The staff is generally very unaccommodating. I asked the cashier if I could get free queso for the wait, she just said "we don't do that" then rung me up incorrectly, charging me only for the burrito bowl and not for the queso. I pointed it out because I wanted to be honest -- and instead of just owning the mistake she re-rung me up and charged me for the queso. Everyone acts like they don't care. Walked up at 1045. Door and websites said 1045 opening time. No one acknowledged me or unlocked the door. Finally left 10 minutes later. Tried to go back in a few days later around 1130. Again, no acknowledgement from employees after waiting a few minutes. Asked a guy waiting if he had ordered and he said apparently they won't take your order here--they will only make you something if you order online, and rolled his eyes. Not sure if something was going on with staffing (I saw at least 4-5 people both times) or credit card machines not working or something, but at least post a note somewhere if your employees refuse to acknowledge or speak to customers. I ordered uber eats from this location... and ohhh my gosh I was disappointed! I ordered a bowl with no cheese, they put cheese ALL OVER the top of my bowl, luckily i could scoop it off but i had to scoop off all the guac along with it bc it was stuck in it. The guac was brown and rotten and some of the avocados were hard and not even smashed up. I'm vegan and there was a piece of STEAK in my bowl. They barely gave me any toppings & i was left with hardly any food and questioned if it was even safe to eat it. They have some of the biggest burritos, which you can stuff with rice ( both white and brown) cheese, lettuce, tomato, salsa, Fire roasted corn, chicken, steak , pork and more. Remember the more you add the more it cost. Nachos were fried and lightly salted. I ordered the steak asada bowl which I added rice, cheese, steak and salsa. It was ok steak a little chewing but hey. The line moved quickly to order your food and the seating area was clean. I'll be back but not soon. Thank for the gift card , the reason for this visit. read more

Their new item is carne asada, yum! This is one of my usual hangouts during the week that satisfies my craving. I usually get a bowl as opposed to a burrito, always a satisfying meal. Their new meat choice is available for a limited time so hurry in before it's gone. Let them know if you like it and want to keep it around. I think they replaced the steak fajita for it. Tip: try to go in at off peak times to avoid the long lines, it's getting colder outside. They do not have call-ahead service but they do have an app where you can purchase and pay ahead for your meal. When I try it, I'll post an update. read more

I'm not sure why Chipotle is getting such low rating, but my experience has been nothing but positive all the times I've been there. The food is always fresh and filling. The service is efficient and fast to me. Chipotle even has a reward program and if you sign up you get a free bag of chips which is not bad. Also, if you guys utilize any rebate programs you can get cash back from ordering at Chipotle. I prefer to order my food online, and pick it up. It's a super easy option to avoid standing in line. Also, if you're on a keto kick you can modify your bowl to be keto friendly. read more

Horrible time management and everyone was moving insanely slow, it made me upset to see how little they cared about those who put their orders in ahead of time. I will never use order ahead again. They were out of brown rice and put very little meat in the bowl. When we said that the meat was light they said that more would be extra. I doubt that we will go back to this one.
