This is the BEST place! We went to the drive thru on our way home from the airport at 11:40pm. We were thrilled they were still open and the guy taking orders was phenomenal!!! He was so friendly and polite, I have never ever experienced such a wonderful drive thru experience anywhere, ever! He was a difference maker! Then it got better because the food was fresh and hot and the service was fast even though there were many customers. I attribute that to them having 2 people at the window - that amazing order taker and someone collecting money and handing out the food. I placed a mobile order after dropping my son off at school , a good 10 minute driving distance thinking it would be ready by the time I pull up . Not only did I have to still wait for my food and pull over , my sandwich has mold ?! Good luck calling the sore and getting someone to answer . I was invited to use Wendy's app for free delivery so I went against my gut feelings and said why not. Just to note you are at their mercy on your food being correct and your entire order being delivered and of course food is almost always cold. This is why I usually don't do it with the exception of pizza. So of course they use DoorDash which most people know is terrible. So we ordered two burgers and added pickles, onions, and then on one of them tomatoes. We also ordered two chilies loaded and two frostys along with a baconator fry. Our order was ready at 8:56pm and delivered at 9:30pm...cold of course. DoorDash takes the Dash part seriously as it was a doorbell ring, drop food on ground, run to car, and haul butt. So we have one bag. We only got two burgers and the one fry. I try calling driver several times and no answer and no call back. I call the store and they said yeah we are out of chili and your driver left without grabbing the frostys. I stated I needed the entire order to feed everyone properly and asked how I get my refund. I was told it was my responsibility to get it from the 3rd party DoorDash. Of course no answer from driver. So we decide to eat the burgers and both have tomatoes and neither have pickles and both are cold. Baconator fries were disappointing to say the least with a few crumbles of burnt (black) bacon. I wish I could give no stars. The restaurant, despite being open, was not serving anyone. "The system is down" Is what was repeated multiple times as the door was closed on us repeatedly. A valid phone number would be nice for starters, the lobby is always closed, so you have to use drive through which takes forever!! I've had nothing but problems with this location and today was no different. It was 11AM and we tried to enter the dining room. However, the door was locked. Nothing on the outside of the building or the door to say anything about the dining room being closed. A small sign on the door frame said the dining room was open 9AM to 10PM. Well, apparently that time frame is open to interpretation by the employees. Fortunately, a person who appeared to be the manager was outside (he had a tie on so jumping to conclusion) chatting up a non-customer female. I went to this Wendy's for a quick lunch while out. I walked in and there was maybe 2 customers inside and out. Got to the register and waited on the young man to come take my order. Placed my order and then came all the "We Don't Haves". First there was no ketchup, no mapkins, or syraws!! There was a manager in there just walking around looking dazed!! Service is HORRIBLE! Yep, 5 stars for a fast food joint! The brand spankin' new location is just gorgeous inside. So clean you could practically eat off the floors.... ok, I wouldn't because people are walking all over them, but you get my drift. They have free Wifi and have a nice area with one long table and bar stools. There's an outlet at each of the bar stools so you can plug in. I took advantage of this area a couple of times when we moved (we couldn't get an appointment with Comcast for like 15 days to hook our internet and cable up). They also have an area with four comfy chairs if you wanna get cozy with your laptop for a while. And, of course, they have the usual tables and booths. There's a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine with like a million and one different drink flavours. Unlimited refills while you are in the restaurant, of course. My food has been hot and yummy. I've ordered several baked potatoes from here and they have all been cooked perfectly. I want to specifically mention that because too many places either undercook or overcook potatoes. On our very first visit here, the husband felt his fries were a little overcooked. So, I took them back to the counter to request a baked potato instead. The manager was at the counter.... let me tell you, every single manager in the fast food industry should take lessons from her. She was just as sweet as could be and apologized no less than 5 or 6 times. She even gave us each a frosty for our "inconvenience." Wow! Now that's some seriously good customer service!! I went there Saturday May 11th around 6pm to eat inside. The big tall woman and drive-thru guy were gossiping about me saying really derogatory things, for no reason at all. They obviously didnt care at all that I could hear them. And they got my order completely wrong. The manager gave me a sinister look when I nicely let him know. The place is filthy, and unsanitary. She kept having me repeat myself in the drive-through, so therefore it led to her having confusion when she rang up my order. My wife went up to River City to get dinner for her, my daughter, and I. We chose Wendy's because in our opinion it is one of the best fast food options out there, plus we both wanted a chocolate frosty. My history with Wendy's goes way back as it was my first job here in Jax. I opened two stores with them. I know what quality is expected and tonight's experience did not meet it. I also ave managed several restaurants so understand what expectations are demanded in the restaurant industry.. That being said, we will never spend another dime at Wendy's. When my wife arrived home with dinner my pretzel bacon burger was completely raw, the fries were cold and soggy, and my large frosty was only 80% or so filled. 0/3!!!! I was left with the option of calling and speaking with a manager to file a complaint, which is what I did because I was not getting back in the car and driving 10 minutes to get my money back. This Wendy's is better than when they first opened. There is normally always a long wait but it moved pretty fast today. The lady at the window seemed to be a manager and had a pleasant personality. Drive through line was long. I come to this 1 to avoid the Wendy's on Dunn and the 1 on Lem Turner. The wait was long but still not as bad as the other 2 locations. The food was good. The picture of the new sandwich had the bacon hanging all out of the sandwich... thought I'd get more bacon for my buck lol. But it was just 1 bacon broken into two pieces. Tasted good though. Window service was polite. The menu said to notify if a kids meal is for kids under 3 for a different toy. When I walked in, the workers taking orders have been replaced with machines. Which suck. It is complicated to alter orders and customize them. I had to ask staff for assistance, which they got huffy about, because Wendy's is understaffed and doesn't pay it's workers enough. Do you know that the CEO, Todd Penegor makes over 9 milllion a year? And he wants to replace workers with machines so he can save a buck?
