My second time dining in; it wasn't great the first time but I thought I'd give it another shot. Customer service is well below par -- 10/10 don't recommend ordering in person due to their inability to be friendly and well-mannered. Food equal to my latter comment -- a slopped together mess of a mediocre meal. Cleanliness is not something they strive for as employees -- there were messes everywhere and the kitchen was a disaster. Very disappointed in the way this Chipotle is managed. Have been here several times but not written a review until tonight. They appeared to be fully staffed but were out of several things on the line and almost every table was dirty. One of the items they were out of was guacamole. Several customers were waiting for it to be made, and told everyone it would be about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later they brought it out and it had absolutely no seasoning. I think this could be a great place if management improved on delegation and structure. I come here with my husband about once a week. We are die hard chipotle fans. We usually have superb service. Today, we ordered using the app, pick up time 4:30. We get there at 4:30 and it's not ready. We ask, "did you get the order?" They said "yeah, at 4". So we asked why it wasn't done. They said it was because they ran out of carne Asada. Cool. But, they just decided to make more at 4:30 pm. So, 4:45 rolls around and it's done. However, my husbands burrito bowl had been sitting out for 20 minutes at that point. I pointed it out and they just shrugged it off. I take what they give me because they were very unhappy looking and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Get home, and my husbands bowl is ICE COLD, Not even joking and he has 4 small pieces of carne asada. My burrito, very small. It's laughable. I measured it. I asked for rice, carne asada, beans, and sour cream. I got a teaspoon of rice, and a couple beans and a LOT of sour cream and a little meat. Wasn't even wrapped properly. I would be so embarrassed if I was the owner of this place. Only time we get superb service is when the owner is in the restaurant. I started coming to Chipolte a year ago when they still had the old GM. The food and service was great, one of my friends has a gluten intolerance and the staff is very Accommodating and safe whenever they come in. When I come in now there's usually someone sanitizing and cleaning the dining room and line. I feel very safe whenever I didn't in now. Chipotle usually gives you a fair amount of food for your buck. I usually get a bowl and I have always been satisfied with their amount and quality of food. Service here is pretty good but can be a little inconsistent depending on which teenagers are working that particular day. read more

My boyfriend and I are door dashing and we were picking up someone's order and the workers were being really rude about eveything and just wanted ya to cancel or call our people. And wasn't even trying to get orders ready. So to me that's a crappy place. If workers are stressed I understand to a point but still no reason to treat costumers like crap or else business will go down. read more

When ordering for a toddler you don't want the food to be scalding hot. While ordering for the adults the person behind the counter put my son's order under the warmer "press"....THE ENTIRE TIME...his food was so hot that we couldn't even cut it.... Other than that it was chipotle. read more

The food is good but the service and speed of their employees is slower than a turtle. If you get there after 5:30 during the week during dinner hours it will be 15-25 people deep and at least a 15 minute wait to order. In addition tonight was our 2nd appearance this week and NO SPOONS AGAIN- note to management go to Costco or Restaurant Depot and buy some spoons if they are not coming on your truck! I've always enjoyed the Chipotle restaurants. Even as much as driving to Kansas City to eat there years ago. Now, after many years of waiting I was extremely excited to see one of our own here in Joplin. I also enjoy the Qdoba and Moes restaurants but Chipotle offers a simpler more health conscience approach. The food here is always great, fresh, quickly prepared and I know that the food I am eating isn't over processed and full of hormones or additives. If you care about what you eat and don't want to sacrifice taste this is the place to fill up. And fill up you will. read more

If you want food fast, then this place is great. If you want mexican style high quality food with lots of flavor, then go to an actual mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa cost $2, and you dont even get enough salsa to finish off the bag of rather cardboardish chips. Likewise, you only get about 2 to 3 ounces of meat for the burritos. It's mostly rice, beans and other filler. For nearly $12 you can get a burrito with chips & salsa and a regular drink, OR you can go to a real mexican restaurant and get something that's delicious. Not to mention, at a real restaurant you aren't expected to clean your table after you finish eating. I wont go back unless I'm desperate and in a big hurry. read more

I like all of the burrito joints like this one, and I'm glad they seem to be multiplying in the Joplin area recently. I've always been a big fan of the cilantro lime rice at Chipotle and this trip was no different. I opted for a burrito bowl and found it was a couple of dollars cheaper than the competition "across the street", but also a lot smaller portion. While that suited me fine, it might put others off. I love the decor and music here. It's very relaxing to me and I'm sure that is a carefully engineered atmosphere but hey, beats the heck out of most fast food places so I can't complain. I think the other competition (at 32nd and Main Street) still has Chipotle beat though. They have much better tasting chicken and steak than I've had here. To be completely honest, I would be more likely to choose this restaurant based on atmosphere if dining out with a friend or associate but I rate them second-best in town and will need better subsequent visits to bump up the 3 star rating. read more
