We stopped by this location while driving cross-country (it isn't too far off the highway). We arrived after the dinner rush, it seemed, and there were no sautéed veggies available. The service was prompt and friendly. Women's bathroom was clean. Some of the tables needed to be cleaned off. One thing we liked was that they had outdoor seating on an uncovered patio. That was nice after being in the car all day. Lots of free parking in their lot. A pretty typical Chipotle experience. read more

Very mediocre food, the flavor was lacking and not at all up to the standards I've come to expect from a Chipotle. The portions were also incredibly small, the bowl was barely half full which is pretty disappointing, I'd recommend ordering in person at the counter where you can ask for more if it's lacking as opposed to mobile ordering (what I did). The dining area was decent, most tables were a bit dirty but it's lunch rush, I get it. Service was good! No complaints there. read more

Joplin Chipotle was once our go to, especially for a movie night. Quick bite, then off to the movie. That came to a halt about a year or year & a half ago. We stopped going to this location. For a long time on our stops there, we had put up with the reality 90% of the tables would be dirty (along with the floor) there. We would ask for a rag, or get paper towels and dampen them, and clean a spot for ourselves. I once asked an employee if she would clean a table for us and she looked entirely annoyed that I asked. Oh well, we still stopped in on occasion because we liked the food and appreciated having a fast meal when we wanted it. But soon, the service and food organization became truly pitiful. We were met with grouchy employees, who seemed mostly irritated to have customers. Twice we went in and couldn't have the items we stopped in for because we were told "we're out of that". This was happening at 6pm, so, early into the dinner timeframe. On one visit I asked for barbacoa tacos, and was told "we're out of barbacoa". I asked if they would be restocking it and was told "I'm not sure" with an annoyed attitude. I asked again, they left to check and came back with "no" as an answer. So I asked for chicken, which I didn't want, and was told "we're out of that, too". I settled for steak. When I wanted to add grilled veggies, there were only a few scraps of overcooked veggies in the bottom of the pan which looked like they'd been sitting there a very long time. The employee scraped them together to add, but it wasn't a true/full portion on the tacos. We decided they were having a very "off" night. We decided we'd try them again. But, this same food shortage problem happened again. That evening we were told they were out of barbacoa and steak. They had chicken (which again, I did not want) but I settled for it. There were several employees standing around staring at us, and all of them were unfriendly and acted like having customers there was a drag. These visits revealed a dirty food assembly line, and again no clean tables throughout the entire seating area. We had to clean a table ourselves. As we ate during this second food shortage visit, we vowed we'd never return there. We haven't. Most every visit for at least a year before we stopped going there, the work stations were not being kept clean. Everything was messy, floor included, trash cans overflowing ...each time we turned to the dining room we found only a handful of customers seated, but every open empty table was dirty with food scraps, cheese, etc, on top. I decided to write this review because we have been to locations in Kansas City while visiting family several times. The Chipotles we have visited there have been clean, well run, well stocked ...we could order any item from the menus with plenty of fresh food supplied for creating our items. Portions were normal/generous. Employees were kind, friendly, and truly wanting to help customers. We were happily surprised each time, because we were imagining maybe Chipotle had declined everywhere and was beginning to spiral. We talked about it with our family and they were shocked to hear about our experiences at the Joplin location. Someone in Joplin needs to decide whether they want to be in business serving good quality food, in a clean environment, with kind and helpful employees, or not. If not, fine. Close shop. Or, sell and let someone else step up and serve the paying patrons of Southwest Missouri like they actually care! Sadly, I cannot recommend the Joplin location. read more

This was my first impression of Chipotle, and it's was disappointing. Starting with the service, while we were ordering the person who made our order seemed to be in a rush though there was no line, (later while I was eating I saw them walk out so they were probably in a rush to lunch or end of shift) and then said that the queso and guacamole didn't come with chips, but the menu says "chips and queso" same for the guacamole. So we had to ask the person who was checking us out to get us some. Then they only gave us one bag and we had to ask again for the other bag of chips because we got both dips. Now the food was uneventful, boring, and cold. Now I love Mexican food so maybe my standards are higher when it comes to taste. But aside from taste when I sat in the restaurant and opened my food to take a bite it was cold. Like the shredded cheese I got in my burrito bowl didn't even begin to melt. Then there's the chips, god they were the worst chips I've ever had. The bag literally says "fresh chips made everyday" what a lie. They seemed like they had been left out for days, cold, stale and some were even chewy and hard to eat... it was just gross and barely edible. read more

Service was terrible. Lady who made my burrito barely spoke and was way too quiet to hear properly. I asked for double barbacoa and she gave me half a pinch and I had to ask for extra otherwise I would've been charged for double meat when I wouldn't have received that and that's practically stealing. PORTIONS ARE TERRIBLE, yet prices keep going up. Barely gave me any queso too. And then wrapped it terribly where when I unwrapped the foil it was literally open and when she wrapped it half my sauces and cheese fell out onto the counter and was just left there. Ordered a burrito bowl got charged for double meat when the dude making the order didn't even use a full scoop of meat and screamed to the back for more carne asada. Also ordered a burrito same thing the SMALLEST portions of everything and then charged for double meat when it wasn't even 1 full scoop. The chips were stale. All employees were scrambling and every single worked seemed to be brand new and like no one knew what they were doing. $60 for all our food and it wasn't even worth $30 with how small the bowl and burrito was. read more

Came here 3 days ago and aginst my better judgement I ordered. I look at what they had and the black beans where dry and kinda crushed. The area was messy and the babacoa was not that good. I got chips and they had no flavor. So I come in today and it looks better but the amount was the smallest I have ever got at a chipotle and when I complained to manager about last visit she did nothing but give me excuses like saying that never happened here so it must have been me is how I felt. I do like their food. However this place is usually a hot mess by late afternoon. Dirty tables, paper towels overflowing in the bathroom, dining room trash full to the brim. Does no one clean up in restaurants anymore? There was one gal making food so the line moved at snails pace. First and foremost, I LOVE chipotle and am always understanding, I am not one to complain, however. I had enough points for a free kids meal. I scheduled pick up time to be 25 min after I ordered (to give them enough time) when I got to the restaurant it still wasn't ready, so I waited. When it was ready it was brought to me, I opened it up in the car and here is what I got (see picture below). OMG. Never going here again!!! This is the WORST Chipotle I've ever been to. I waited 30 mins in line. Get up there and half of the ingredients they are out of. Then i noticed one of the ingredients they were "out of" was being used in online orders. So I simply asked, they said no they can't give it to me. I don't need to go for a colonic because Chipotle assisted me with cleansing out my system today.
