I consistently find burned to black char vegetables and unchewable chicken in my bowls here.

    12/13/22 Love this fresh bowl!

12/13/22 Finally had the chance to stop by & grab lunch!! My ex coworker & friend came in for an impromptu visit at my job site after her doctor's visit with her annual mammogram. "A brief public announcement please: Just a friendly REMINDER to have your mammogram done!! Surveillance is important and having a baseline for comparison could save a LIFE. Thank you for your attention!" On with the review. This Chipotle is located next door from Dunkin' Donuts within the Hyatt House on Trojan Way & San Pablo-across from the Keck Medical Center of USC buildings. It's surprising that it wasn't too crowded at lunchtime. Ordering was easy. You start at the end opposite the cashier line to pick your meal. My friend & I both opted for a bowl. Mine consisted of brown rice, black pinto beans, grilled beef strips, mild salsa & corn relish/salsa with shredded lettuce & guacamole. She said she'll copy mine except she added cheese on hers & no lettuce. She was genuinely surprised that she finished her bowl, she said it's pretty good. I loved my bowl as well, it's savory & flavorful. It was just a tad salty for my taste, otherwise the seasoning was sumptuous. We dined Al fresco & the tables outside were widely spaced. It's clean throughout & the staff were courteous & friendly. Price wise it's a bit more than I expected but not surprised. Plus a bottled water, our bill totaled $30 & some change. I suppose their overhead is definitely taken into account lol. Since it's just a walk across my job site, I can see myself returning to grab some chow from Chipotle.

This is really frustrating when you order for delivery. It's to watered down, obviously because it isn't as fresh anymore!

It's frustrating when you order for delivery and the guac is already changing color and watered down. Yea you can get your money back, but when you've just thought of having it with your meal and being excited is a huge let down!

Cheating your customers. I ordered a pick up and walked back to the hospital and found the bowl half empty, with barely any food inside. A total disappointment. I would not recommend to order online.

Full Avocado Pit in our guacamole.

We've driven by this place before but it doesn't really stand out much, but when you want a sandwich and see the word torta, it's destiny. The menu here features a bunch of different taco, torta, quesadillas, burritos, and all the other classics you expect from a Mexican restaurant. I ended up ordering a torta with carnitas and it only took like 4 minutes to make and get it to me. Now, I've always been a pretty simple person to please with a torta as they are usually big and packed with ingredients. This was somehow the most disappointing and lackluster torta I've ever had. The carnitas were boring and lacked any sort of flavour, while the rest of the sandwich together just didn't hit. This was a boring sandwich that I didn't enjoy eating. Overall, King Torta was a disappointment and not somewhere I'll be revisiting in the future. As the first place to serve a boring torta to me in LA, it left me wanting to eat somewhere else after.

Within 5 minutes my meal was out so the service was very fast which was appreciated. Here you will only find outdooor patio seating. We sat there and tried their chili cheese hot dog and their cheese burger. The chili cheese dog was a bit disappointing. The chili cheese was great however the hot god itself was not good. It was a bit under cooked for my preference. Would have to give the hot dog a 2 out of 5. The cheeseburger on the other hand was good. No complaints on that and would have to rate the cheeseburger a 4 out of 5. The French fries here are so good, love the seasoning on them. Fries are a 5 out of 5. Overall maybe just stay clear of the hot dog but they are worth checking out if your in the area looking for a fast and cheap meal. Till next time.

The restaurant itself is small and has plenty of seats. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy. The lady who took my order didn't greet me and she was blunt with me, but it could have just been an off day for her. The man who made my order was nice, professional, and asked if I wanted any sauces. I ordered the George's Burger Combo with an Almond Milk Horchata. My partner ordered the Beyond Avocado Burger with Onion Rings and a Lemonade. The order did not take long, about a 10 minute wait. The burger itself was fresh and tasted real. From the buns to the veggies to the meat itself, it all tasted good. The burger was hearty and filling without leaving you feeling tired or gross. The only downside about the burger is that it could use more sauce, I had a hard time tasting it with each bite. The fries were good and were seasoned lightly; they had a nice crisp and soft interior. I never had Horchata with Almond Milk and to my surprise, it was great. Not too sweet and it was refreshing. Their sauces are made in house and I tried their ranch. Appearance wise, the ranch definitely stood out compared to typical fast food ranch. The ranch was thick, creamy, and paired nicely with the fries and onion rings. The onion rings were what I really wanted to try. The onion rings are made fresh and they use beer batter. They have a nice golden color and crunch when you bite into them. Unlike other onion rings, these ones snapped with each bite and the onion itself didn't drag out nor was it too soft. You can definitely taste the beer flavor and it paired nicely with the onion. My only complaint is that some areas of the onion ring had too much batter so at times it would just be a bit mush. The onion rings weren't overly greasy either. My partner who is vegetarian said it was the best vegetarian burger she has ever had. She loved the fries and onion rings as well. Overall, a great little food joint to go to every now and then. If you want something fresh with some variety, definitely check out George's Burger Stand. I also heard their Bean and Cheese Burrito is really good as well. I will be coming back sometime in the future.

The staff were super friendly and on point The Food: (A word on heat. They have 6 levels from Country with none to Howlin. We can take a decent amount of heat. I went medium and my son went hot. The medium was just the right balance with a nice burn especially on the back end. The next level, hot, was also really good and hit close to our limit) The Sando: a nice sized chicken breast perfectly fried. The chicken was moist but well cooked and the batter was seasoned perfectly. The slaw added a nice crunch to things, the comeback sauce added richness and the pickles added a brinney crunch to offset the goodness. The bun put up a valiant effort but about of the way through it gave up and the Sando became a fork affair. The Slaw: It was just okay, on the sando it was perfect, on its own, just okay The Macaroni Salad: Glorious, simply glorious. Whatever spicing they were using with the fries seemed evident here giving it a reddish hue. The the bits of dill, onions, and pickles helped balance the whole thing perfectly. This would be right at home on a North Shore plate lunch. Shake Fries: Perfectly fired crinkle fries shaken in that spicing they use. Dipped in the comeback sauce or on their own they were awesome. Banana Pudding: OMG so good. With the traditional vanilla wafer on top. Rich and luscious it was a perfect end to the meal. The only downside? This location is small and if you want to eat there there are only a few tables. Parking also sucked. Those thinks aside excellent place

So it's quite the coup that I finally made it on over to the Heights DABS! A slice of that 18 inch pie is on the brain today as I skip up the mini-staircase into the joint. Having just come from another not-to-be-named Pizza spot in the DTLA to NELA corridor, my hangdog face belies my energetic hoppin-pep-in-the-step into Heights, shaking off a droopy and disappointingly dry slice amidst the brain-bleeding profanity laced hate-punk screaming over that joint's speakers as I sized up the Margherita I always use as an avatar to benchmark how we dooooin' in the pizza quality and taste department no matter where I go. I confess I've been captured and SPOILED by love affairs with Greek Pizza in Boston, Deep Dish in Chicago, NYC greezy gooey goodness at 3am, and of course the ultimate seduction of sublime simplicity of the Neapolitan Pizzas of Napoli. Yes, I am a sucker for the traditional brick oven Margheritas and Bufalinas of Italia, just that simple barometer of OG greatness, minimalistic bliss. Less than 5 bucks and 10 min later, I'm ambling down said teeny stairs with a large warm white cardboard box that seems far too large for a mere SLICE. Have they made a packaging error? I was expecting a small thin wilty Dixie plate! These days, we don't wanna waste cardboard, do we? Driving off, I contemplate a spot to pull over along the Arroyo Seco to enjoy my dining behind the wheel. I just can't hold in my wondering, patience is definitely NOT a virtue when curiosity is just killing this Jazz Cat. A quick stop at a red light later, I can't hold it in any longer. FLIP. UP. THAT. LID! Daaaaaaammmnnnn! That is one MONSTROUS slice, as I slyly smile in astonishment! But my sly smile slowly segues to sadness, then semi-panicked confusion, disorientation, even! For THIS is not the Margherita one familiarly recognizes as the artistic minimalistic masterpiece a proper Neapolitan Margherita MUST BE! I am starting to get anxious, angsty, and now a bit ANGRY! what a fool I was! Instead I am misled into chow down mode to consume a Godzilla-sized molten mess of mossy dry basil haphazardly strewn about to and fro across the pie, resembling katsuo bonito flakes dancing around in the disarray of their differential dehydration! Inexplicably, jagged rows of somewhat square Roma tomatoes are lined up in lazy formations like a disorganized military company. What's more, the gooey globs of mozzarella are NOT expertly anchored down to the bed of cheese below, supposed to cling to the pie while providing just enough protruding relief like an old globe map with a mountain range rising above the horizon. Nope, they are instead here and there and almost everywhere, seemingly untethered to the matrix of cheese below, chaotically floating around like slightly rectangular glops of pale possible goodness?!!? JT, hold it together, you must attack this mess while it's still hot. Beep Beep! THE LIGHT HAS TURNED GREEN MANY SECONDS AGO! Get thee to the Arroyo! Minutes later, I'm at my perch. I bite into the unruly beast. I am pleasantly greeted by a most satisfying CRUNCH! Then a chewy tug-tremendous! Then the mass of basil flakiness flying through my mouth and down the hatch, chased by those deeeelish misshapen untethered white cubes o' cheesiness charging down my throat aside tons of tumbling tomatoes! It's an absolute avalanche of WOW! It's like there's a party in my mouth, and the most unlikely heroes showed up and showed out! Let's add the Unconventional Neapolitanical Pizzas of Lincoln Heights to the Lovefest List! Heights DABS, you've made my day. On to meet up with long lost friends converging in HP from nearby points dearly loved, I'm feelin' GRRRREEEEAT! DONE.

Lol They did all of these without a single hello from any of the staff, no smile, minimal eye contact. I know it's just a fast food restaurant but those things are BASIC. Based on my experience and all the 1-star reviews, I think the store manager needs to ask him/herself what's wrong and take a hard look at how things can be improved. I was tempted to give 1 star but add another star because at least the toaste of food is the normal McDonald's food.
