The sample size I've had to judge from is very numerous. That being said, the food is absolutely fresh every time. It is well made and plentiful. I recommend getting a bowl and I recommend using the Chipotlane way of service. I came here twice in a week. The first time they were out of chicken and rice. I found that out after I waited over 30 minutes for my food. Today I went again because my kids wanted food. We waited over 30 minutes for our food again. Only for my food to have no lettuce a ton of corn salsa and sour cream flooding the left side of my bowl. Being a formal Chipotle Cashier myself, I understand the difficulty and patience that comes with front end and cashier. Today, not only did the new young tall gentleman yell at me, my friend and my child looked over stunned and embarrassed. "Cash or card, Cash or Card?!" The inconsistency at Chipotle in Manahawkin is unreal! Sometimes you get something one way, and the next time you go in, you're told something completely different. I have an extremely picky eater who literally only eats two cheese-only quesadillas with a side of white rice, no meat, no beans, nothing else. Sometimes they charge me for one kids meal, and other times they try to charge me for two. How does that make sense? He's getting one of the three sides filled with white rice and cheese-only quesadillas instead of the two sides of meat that would normally come with the meal. He isn't getting extra meat, beans, or anything else. In fact, we used to be able to substitute another cheese quesadilla, and now we're told we can't. Meanwhile, if I order a bowl, I can ask for significantly more rice and meat and still pay the same price. I actually tested this just to make sure my theory was correct, and it was. I'm not asking for something unreasonable. I'm asking for some common sense and reasonable accommodation for a child who is extremely limited in what he will eat. Why should I have to pay for two meals when he's not even receiving a full meal's worth of the food? Chipotle needs to get some consistency between employees and learn how to accommodate customers within reason when it actually makes sense. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the Manahawkin location. I went in a few years back and had the same experience, so I walked out. I though by now they would have cleaned up their act. My first time getting the bowl. I was actually really in the mood for this. I seriously find myself down on my luck with this place. I know guacamole turns in a short amount of time but not this quickly. Everyone asked if I called and complained!? No I haven't but I feel I should maybe reach out to someone to make them aware! Not pictured was my husband and daughter's bowl theirs was good, they didn't get black guacamole. love this place!!! very nice girl made my burrito and was incredibly kind!! food was great. and the line was short.

Bins were empty. The server had to scrape the bottom bits to barely fill our bowls. The dirtiest serving counter looked like it had not been wiped all day. Food from each bin were in its neighbors which is a huge cross contamination issue for allergies. Pork was stringy and fatty. For $40 this was my food. WAY TOO SPICY!!! My husband, daughter, and I ordered a burrito, bowl, and byo kids meal with steak. The food was so spicy that we were unable to eat our meals and ended up throwing them out in the garbage. We have been to other locations " Forked River, Wall, Brick, and Toms River" and have had pleasant experiences there. However the food at this location is inedible due to the mass amount of chili seasoning and jalapeno's in the food. Huge disappointment! read more

For a salad? My husbands burrito bowl had 4 times as much lettuce as my salad. As I continue to sit In the restroom for the rest of the afternoon, I want to forewarn anyone considering Chipotle's "new and improved" quesadilla meal. Let's start with the fact that this cheese and meat pocket smothered and dripping of oil, was smooshed into tinfoil and not cut into proper handling portions. Not crispy as shown, just soft and floppy, yes floppy. What am I supposed to do with this while driving? Just awful! Second, it's nationally advertised as three toppings, pico, sour cream and guacamole. Sounds like a great deal, right? Until the bill came to 25 dollars and change!! 2.50 for guacamole on both? Yes I know quacamole is extra, but this is false advertising on chipotles part. If you want a decent quesadilla go literally anywhere else. Then the insult to injury was the one, haha, ONE napkin they gave me for this pretend eating experience for two, a top poorly assembled quesadilla packaging. Chipotle corporate, please consider retraining staff on this meal presentation or consider taking it off the menu all together. Leaving my first ever Yelp review for this place. I've ordered from this chipotle multiple times. We always place our order online and pick it up at the drive thru. I almost always get a salad and every single time I've ordered a salad (with dressing), they forget the dressing. I'm not exaggerating when I say every single time. We've learned to start asking for extra dressing at pick up to make sure we get dressing. The last few times the salad has had about 5 pieces of lettuce in it, too. My friend got a burrito bowl and had more lettuce in her bowl than I did in my salad. I usually order a drink through the app and whenever we pick it up, they ask what drink I want even though it's in the order. When someone else picks up the order and they ask what drink I want, they have no idea so I end up getting a random drink. I feel like these things are basics and this chipotle fails every time.
